Bricked P9 Lite VNS-L31 - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hey,
i had some issues with Nougat so i decided to wipe everything via Revolution Recovery and reinstall MM
but i got some errors..
via Revolution Recovery:
Error: 7
via Fastboot:
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending sparse ´system´ 1/6 <451240 KB>...
OKAY [11.546s]
writing ´system´ 1/6...

P9 Lite VNS-L31
Bootloader is unlocked
Please help me i have no idea what to do

You shoud NEVER do wipe via twrp on Nougat!
Now try to flash compatible Oeminfo first and have in dload folder a B160/B161 stock firmware
and make repair via 3 keys pressed.

Attach is a zip twrp flashable for VNS-L21 DS C432.
Probably works for L31 too...

I flashed the oeminfo.
Now i am stuck on the logoscreen and i cant even boot to recovery.
Edit:
Probably wrong oeminfo ver.
I fixed it but i cant find a flashable oeminfo vers. for VNS-L31.
Found a ver. for fastboot but when i try to flash it i get this error:
FAILED <remote: Command not allowed>

i tried different versions of oeminfo but when i flash it i get stuck on the logo screen.

Can someone upload a backupfile for me?

Solved! Bought an Oneplus 3t

P9 Lite cannot flash stock firmware

I have a Huawei P9 lite. (VNS-L31 dual sim) . I tried to install medrom 3 and after flashing, phone didn't boot up. So I flashed b161 firmware again using 3 button method and phone booted up. Then I realized I couldn't add my google account. After searching on xda I found a method to fix that.(flashing oem info ). But after doing that, when the phone boots up after the huawei logo the error message which says "your device has been unlocked" has become red.( Usually it's yellow). And in about phone my model number has been changed to something like hi6250 or hi650.( Can't remember the exact thing). Then I tried to reflash my b161 firmware using 3 button menu and voila. It says incompatible version. I can't flash it. Then I replaced my build prop with my friend's phone's build prop. But unfortunately it has the B151 version. Though I have B161 version installed, my about phone says it has B151 version. And I can't flash stock firmware using twrp or dload method od any how. Please help

That's normal if the message is red, it means that the bootloader Will be relocked.
Now for the build prop, download b161 version, use huawei firmware extractor , extract boot.img system.img and cust.img
And by fastboot type :
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot reboot
And voila, b161 is installed in your phone !
Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using XDA Labs

If fastboot say "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)", its because your bootlaoder is locked, reunlock it !
In TWRP it says unable to mount Data :/

Code:

fastboot flash recovery recovery_stock.img
Unable to read/mount data says your encryption key got changed by something, whatever. You need to Wipe Internal storage and flash twrp again ( I recomment matic`s ) Reboot to recovery again, if you got one, flash a flashable fw via twrp. I Dont know if the stock recovery Accepts a fully wiped intern storage, i guess not and it declines the update.app method.
In the best case for sure you recover an older backup to get the Same enc. Key back

maybe u have to do a factory reset first. if u cant do it with twrp try to enter the stock recovery and do it before flashing. hope that it works this time.
about me, i was on nougat beta, twrp gives me too much errors when i want to format data and system, i installed stock recovery and did a factory reset and i used dload folder, now im on EMUI 4.0 (B180)
dont worry every problem have a solution. good luck
Posted from Mate 8.
Or with Rollback UPDATE.APP.
My Mate 8 is L29C636,i convert to AL 10 with B577 and go Back to L29 C636B211 without any Problem.
I can upload the UPDATE.APP later 92mb.
Use HiSuite via PC and roll back by updating to earlier versions! It's simple

And how did yo do? Can you explain please?
Copy the Rollback UPDATE.APP in dload Folder in Micro SD.
Change oem.info and custom.bin from AL10 to L29.
Boot in Bootloader and Flash Stock Recovery and reboot
This make Automatic a Factory Reset and Lock my Bootloader
Go to dailer and use this code *#*#2846579#*#* and go to 4.Software Upgrade.
After this Procedur copy my Original Firmware for c636B211 in dload Folder and make the same Procedur with *#*#2846579#*#*
After flashing the Firmware i am on L29C636B211
But you have a AL10,i think you flash the Rollback Update App
This Roll Back flash to Emui 4.0 and not to 4.1
After flash the Rollback,Download a Firmware for your AL10 with Emui 4.0 and flash this Update App via dload *#*#2846579#*#* here
This Methode can use with locked bootloader
Download Rollback
I think this works
If not take what was described above

Which original one though? I've been trying and downloaded any Full firmware I could find using a firmware finder, for my VNS-L31 but using the force update method in download so far all of them return an error: Incompatible with current version. I have also tried the fastboot update and separately flashing each file in the update.app . None work so far. I keep trying.

If you're on Nougat, try flashing it's files through fastboot. It worked for me, MM system.img gave me an error, but nougat flashed fine.
I believe ur in nougat beta... Just flash oem info and flash again the nougat from there you can start again and downgrade peacefully
your bootloader is locked

Thank you! I followed the instructions here with a slight variation. Because trying to install the update.zip file always gave me errors I extracted the update.APP with the update extractor tool and flashed cache, system, boot with fastboot. Then I opened the custom recovery, installed the other zip file and continued as instructed.

how did you check if it was unlocked? if it says so in fastboot mode it can be incorrect, even when you relock the bootloader it still says unlocked

ADB Shell error

Hey all,
I recently bricked my Huawei p9 lite VNS L31 by wiping ALL partitions , I manged to restore all factory images via an adb shell , but whenever I try flashing the vendor.img I am met with the following error:

I have already locked and re-locked my bootloader several tiles (so don't ask me to , erecovery is useless as always as is the dload method)- I have a feeling my drivers are the problem but I an not sure.
Without the stock vendor.img my phone will not boot
Could a kind soul plleeaasee help me?

Phone soft bricked but twrp is not working and i can't flash via fastboot

Hi all I've been searching for help but can't find many similar cases to mine.
Here is the situation: after rooting my huawei p8 lite 2017 with magisk I installed xposed framework and it soft bricked my device (again for the third time this week)
I decided to restore a backup i had made, when i had magisk root but no xposed installed, via TWRP
The backup ends but the phone won't boot and TWRP doesn't want to boot either, it continues to boot between twrp and the stock rom without success.
In fastboot i can't find info of my phone to download the right software from a site to do dload but I do have an update.app file for my phone
When i flash boot.img it gives me:
C:\adb>fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending 'boot' (15524 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.389s]
writing 'boot'...
FAILED (remote: partition length get error)
finished. total time: 0.413s
My info is this:
bootloader: unlocked
recovery: not working
huawei eRecovery: tried but failed to boot after
fastboot: partly working
the android version is 8.0
device : PRA-LX1C432B209
I cannot use dload with the update.app from firmware finder
If anyone could help me i would be very thankfull.
