[Q] just a quick Q to make things clear...

To uninstall preinstalled apps such as Adobe and SoundHound, we:
1) Appl root and S-Off
2) Boot into Clockwork Recovery
3) using ADB, simply remove the .apk files in the /data or /system directory (wherever they are)
4) To reinstall, just put the apk files back
Please let me know if that's correct!
Yes that is correct

Not quite you should uninstall first in ADB pm uninstall <packagename>
Then remove the apk otherwise you are still keeping the associations with the package and may experience unexpected FCs

hey here is the simplest way to do it. first off all go to the market, download " system app remover" then using task manager kill ur 'launcher pro' now go to sys app remover and uninstall launcher pro. then load launcher pro plus. to be extra safe add the ADW launcher then remover launcher pro and install launcher pro pluss and then remove ADW launcher
install titanium ... find out LAUNCHER PRO in "backup/restore" .. tap on it .. tap on UNISNTALL..!!
there s many of them in market to uninstall system apps.. but i prefer titanium coz it is useful in sum other doings too..!!
Use root explorer and then navigate to system/apps
There scroll down to launcher pro and delete it
And copy the new launcher pro or install it from my files
But make sure you are in read/write mode

i think the easier way for a rookie is to just do it with titanium backup
Easiest:
Download ROOT MANAGER.
Than in main menu go to: System apps -> App Remover - find LauncherPRO.apk and remove it
Download Root Uninstaller from Market!
It's free!
Lol there is no LauncherPro plus file you just have to enter your plus code in the menu !
it is easy from cmd using adb
copy your launcher to SD card adn just open cmd in your machine (you must remember that you need to have dbug mode on)
adn wright such command:
adb shell
su
stop
mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/stl6 /system
rm /system/app/launcherpro.apk
cp /sdcard/launcherproplus.apk /system/etc/launcherproplus.apk
reboot
exit
and it is done
POST 2
download a app called
SYSTEM APP REMOVER
then install
n remove any sysrem app you want
doesn't work for me...
root explorer says that the file can't be removed because it is read only
any suggestions?

[GUIDE] fully installing LastPass on Amazon stock ROMS

this is for when you are running the "STOCK" ROM from Amazon as root.
install LP normally. activate app log in and make sure its not force closing then close it out.
use file manager that accesses the hidden system files (I use Root Explorer)
navigate to /data/app and move the LP apk to /system/app/ (remount as read/write first)
unmount (make it (r/o)
reboot
open app and enable keyboard. you may be able to configure this in KF settings
enable input normally and force local login
if force close or this doesn't work then reboot into recovery and run fix_permissions script then clear cache and wipe dalvik and reboot.
if it doesn't work please pm me or find me on gtalk (joshcues)
this isn't necessary on other Roms only amazon builds.

Yeah works on locked bootloader, did it yesterday, just be warned that it doesn't work properly if you have encrypted your phone as twrp can't access system. Had to backup and factory reset my phone to remove encryption.
Works fine guys! No problems here. (locked bootloader)
Thanks

Someone says using this way to root you won't have the battery drain issue as you flash a pre-rooted zip. Who can tell me whether it's true?
Can anyone re-upload? It got deleted!!

İ think its not important kingroot not save the imei's. And this method we disable and delete all kingroot apps we need it only install recovery. Then we can use standart supersu access.

"System App Safe Remover" fails to uninstall

I have rooted my SMT580 and checked it with Root Checker.
SU works, Root explorer File manager works and deletes some bloatware
I have then installed System App Safe Remover (Which works fine on my ASUS tablet). It will remove my installed apps, but none of the System Apps. No matter which one it tries to install, the pop up window alwas says:
Done, 1 failed Uninstall, Yes
(see attached picture)
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
