hello guys,
i've been trying to mod my widgetlocker in order to change my lockscreen slider but I don't quite understand what I must do. the thread's here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825553. I tried the root explorer method but the files couldn't be copied to the apk. as for the other methods, it contains strange terms that I don't get like "s-off" and "sdk directory." so, if someone could provide me a simple way to mod widgetlocker in hd2, i'll be very happy. thanks.
edit: found the way: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9819235#post9819235
Hey Guys,
I have an S7 Edge and was always able to change the DPI via any common method.
For some weeks it´s somehow not possible. I tried while on various ROMs.
I tried via editing Build.prop, Android Terminal App, DPI Changing Apps and via Terminal on Mac and Windows.
It just doesnt work....
I noticed that being on BobCat ROM it works.... But with no other ROM. I tried them all on XDA.
Does anybody have an idea why and/or how to fix this?
I appreciate every reply.
You need to have root acces and use a file manager (I use Solid Explorer), open build.prop with the Solid Explorer built in editor (SE Text editor) and find and change the following line:
ro.sf.lcd_density=560
(560 is the best value that you can apply, anything bellow that dpi messes up the touchwiz apps).
Save the file and presto!!!
I hope this can help.
Best regards!!!
Not working. Build.prop shows the new value but no visual change is seen
Did you restart your device?
Hi,
Is there any possibility to change emoji system-wide without root access? I know how to do it with root, will it work if for example new font will be added or something similiar?
Thanks in advance

Hello,
Fro me, if you want to change the stock emoji library, you must have the root access because you will must replace (so change) ressources.
I can recommand you to use a temporary root access by flashing supersu 2.52 zip (you could find it by search on XDA the root solution for marshmallow:good.
Without root, for me its just impossible, or if you like works many hours, modify your ROM and change the permissions of the specifiq system folder that content emoji ressources files and re-flash your rom but its cannot be done succefully by any users..
=> So make an nandroid backup before make anything .
Good job!
I flashed Ricky Bush's file to get the iOS emojis but when I unroot my phone any app which requires a keyboard cannot be used. I assume it is because unrooted phones cannot work with a keyboard with iOS smileys.
And is the File from Ricky Bush only changing the NotoColorEmoji file or is it doing even more? If so, how can I undo it without factory resetting?
I mean the stock font* if it is something else than NotoColorEmoji and I have the Oxygen-OS-Version 4.5.15 if there is a difference.
You mean you want the stock NotoColorEmoji.ttf file from OOS 4.5.15? If yes, it's attached with this post. If you want it as a flashable zip, let me know and I'll make one for you.
Thank you, ive also searched my phone everywhere for the so called "system -> fonts" folders, but couldnt find them, do you know where they are located on the oneplus5?

You'd need root and a file manager to view the system folder and replace the modded file with the original file I attached.
ok thank you
