My stock Nexus 7 (4.4, kot49h)'s volume down button is not working. Not even in bootloader (4.23) . Because of that, everytime i reboot it goes in the bootloader, not in system. And from bootloader I'm only able to go to safe-mode. I tried flashing a newer version of bootloader, and re-flashing the stock ROM. I can only use safe-mode.
Any solutions? Should I take it to the service and wait or there is a faster method of solving this problem?
I have tried to update to nougat but the camera didn't work even after restoring product_v3 on my l31. I tried to downgrade using the suggested oeminfo and b151 rom.
Now i just get the "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted screen". At the bottom it says "Your device is booting now..." but it never boots.
I can't install anything via dload method as three button combo just boots to this screen. Power and volume up same screen... Power and volume down same screen... Can't boot to fastboot but thinking maybe that's because the phone won't actually switch off.
I've left it for ages and it's still stuck on the same screen.
Any ideas?
vns-l31 ? l21?
Disconnect the usb cable from the pc, turn off hisuite.
Reconnect the usb cable to the pc to see if it starts.
If it starts not to turn off.
Reset bootloader with fastboot or toolkit 0.0.0.8.
Started fastboot or toolkit0.0.0.8, plugged the usb cable and hold depressed volume - and power. He should go.
Code bootloader and twrp meticulus
L31 as I stated above and the phone is stuck on booting screen. Won't turn off and won't boot to fast boot I've already tried.

Thanks but that app just flashes partitions in fastboot. If I could get into fastboot I could flash partitions anyway

Have you tried volume down pressed whilst connecting to pc?
Yes of course but it just reboots to the same screen not the fastboot screen.

Sorry if it was a silly question to ask...went through all this myself earlier (except mine would power off...) but you said "Power and volume up same screen... Power and volume down same screen..." that's pretty much what mine did and I thought myself "why can't I get into fastboot", but power off and then [*without pressing power* vol down whilst connecting usb] worked.
If I restart my phone from the power menu and then immediately press vol down and connect to pc it boots to fastboot so it doesn't need to be powered off :good: but it does need to be connected to pc with the required drivers installed.
Finally got fastboot working and bootloader is unlocked but can't get anything to boot. Neither MM TWRP or Revolution TWRP will boot up.
Not sure where to go.
I've even tried extracting B151 and B161 and manually flashing boot recovery cust and system in fastboot but still no boot up...

Bootloader, twrpmeticulus, wipe, check all and wipe, install c432oeminfo.zip badwolf (see htcmania), turn off, restart with Dload b130,I read is b130 is best, b150, b160, b161. No matter it works all for me.
Strange thing is whenever i flash meticulous twrp it won't boot. I've tried through revolution recovery and by fastboot!
I can now actually get revolution twrp to boot but it doesn't mount system properly so won't flash anything at all.

Can be the end of the tutorial ultimate guide fo nougat
7.in recovery go to reboot-> reboot bootloader
8.flash stock nougat's recovery with fastboot
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByQ...RYVXdKaU0/view (thanks to @algnerd )
9. reboot to recovery and do a factory reset (if you dont do that your phone will fall in a bootloop)
I think i've seriously messed it up now can't access anything again now just stuck at Your device is booting now... again after trying downgrade method again...
Yeah completely broken now no fastboot, no operating system, no recoveryand no dload. Just boots up to Your device has been unlocked etc and Your device is booting now...
Try to boot one more time to bootloader holding vol down and plugging usb without powering up phone. Then you need to flash twrp for nougat and flash oeminfo trough adb sideload. Do not reboot your phone after this, it won't start. Go back to and copy any app file (for example b160) then try to boot to bootloader and flash boot, recovery and system from nougat app file. Reboot phone holding all 3 buttons, it gonna take a while to boot and it should flash the system properly.
Literally can't get bootloader at all now all i get is the your device is booting now screen and nothingness...
Seriously messed up first phone i've ever bricked and i've been around android since my htc tattoo a LONG time ago
Made the mistake of paying for Phoenix DC as well but that's no use without bootloader mode so waste of 15 euros.
And now i get fastboot again but it says frp lock. DC Phoenix has flashed b151 and b161 but neither boots.
Dload method still fails...
So if now u can get to fastboot, u must unlock bootloader again (frp lock) flash twrp for nougat, copy app file to dload folder, flash oeminfo via adb sideload etc. Look at my previous post.
Send me a message, maybe i can help you..
Hi all.
I had unlock bootloader.
I just changed my recovery to twrp. It worked !
Then I upgraded my p9 lite to nougat android version.
It works too !
But now I'm stuck. I moved root su file on my sd card and wanted to go back in TWRP... I cannot anymore.
I Power off my phone and I Power On by Pressing Power Button- VolUp Button Simultaneously => no TWRP.
Plus, it's not easy because of huawei message, that device has been unlock.... but I hold volume button before message and until it disapear... It goes to to android OS. or stay stuck on "device will boot"
If I do the same with +button, it shows me huawei recovery ...
More rarely, it tells me that software install failed (maybe it is trying to install su root package ?)
SO : I cannot use TWRP, and I cannot go to fastboot to flash recovery again.
No change in my drivers, still the same as when I flashed it first time (yesterday) and no new software install.
I'm still trying again and again ... :S
Maybe you could help me ? Thank you.
Hey there!
First of all... Wrong forum section, this is only for Development and not trouleshooting. But I see you are new so just keep it in mind for the future
To your problem:
You need to install the Nougat TWRP. It is the only one that works once you flashed a Nougat ROM.
To access the bootloader, turn OFF your device and then HOLD the VolDown button and while holding it connect the phone to your PC. Bootloader mode should show up.
Then flash Nougat TWRP with fastboot and you should be good.
problems are always easy when they are solved
Thank you, and truely sorry for wrong section error.
While rolling back from N to MM my phone started bootlooping. I was facing this problem few times so I thought I could fix it like always. But there is one problem. I'm unable to flash any rom from fastboot or recovery. The only recovery that works is Nougat Revolution Recovery. When I try to flash I get errors and info: failed to mount version / vendor / product. I wanted to wipe those partitions but they are gone....
Does anyone know what to do? I'm pretty much clueless now...
1st,wipe system, boot. extract update app with huawei update extractor. go to custom recovery, flash stock boot IMG and stock recovery IMG. Power off, use three button dload method, reboot, when booting press vol up for three second, now you are in e-recovery. Press shutdown. Press and hold power and vol up for stock recovery. Do factory reset. If need do the factory reset 2/3 times. Now you are with locked bootloader.

Same problem here i have huawei p9 lite vns l21 2gb ram
I have no os no vendor no product
Bootloader unlock
Fastboot worked
I have twrp v3.1.1. Of team open kirin edition
Last time i am at nougat b360 firmware
What should i do
I managed somehow to revert back to stock from these errors on VNS-L21:
1) download b360 stock from http://4pda.ru/forum/lofiversion/index.php?t806696-1680.html (consists of 2 files)
2) download HUAWEI Multi-Tool
3) extract 2 UPDATE.APP files from zip files of stock rom
4) extract image files from the large UPDATE.APP file by HUAWEI Multi-Tool -> Unbrick -> Launch Huawei Update Extractor
5) boot the phone into fastboot mode by power / vol - and connect the phone to PC
6) HUAWEI Multi-Tool -> Unbrick ... flash everything
7) copy the large UPDATE.APP file to SD\dload and reboot with power / vol + / vol - ... phone installs update
8) copy the small UPDATE.APP file to SD\dload and reboot with power / vol + / vol - ... phone installs update
I tried to update my wife's P9 lite to Nougat manually and initially succeeded in some way. The version I installed via the dload install method turned out to be some sort of Bluetooth disabled demo firmware (I can't remember the name of it).
I then tried to downgrade back to MM 6.0/EMUI 4.1 and now have a bricked phone. I can't actually turn it off!
Hard reset options do nothing.
Here is the current situation:
The phone is always on - the Huawei logo is displayed with 'powered by Google' at the foot of the screen.
Holding down the power button returns the phone to the same screen after a vibration and a brief moment of blackness.
Holding all three buttons results in a double vibration then back to the same screen.
Power and down vol leads to black screen, vibrate, back to logo screen.
Power and vol up is the same as vol down result.
I'm out of ideas. Nothing online mirrors these faults. I'm ashamed to admit defeat but it is as dead as I've seen any handset. I can't believe it won't even power down. I'm in the doghouse here. Wife is not happy!
Download any update eg b161, download trwp and connect your phone to PC then press power + vol down. U should land to fastboot then open adb/fastboot and type fastboot oem unlock "unlock code" then enter if u get unlocked then flash trwp by fastboot flash recovery trwp.img after that go to trwp and flash the update.zip u downloaded. Then reboot
