Try it again a couple times (it wouldn't read the first 2 times for me). If that doesn't work you may have to format the SDCard.

The thing is it doesn't even mount internal storage .
After the first time , when selecting update from SD , it takes me back to no command window .

You might need to perform a factory reset via ADB/Recovery.

Can't it be fixed without reset ? Tried updating via adb and adb fails to read the zip file . Tried mounting system in recovery and still the error comes .

File not found [ after wipe ] HELP!!

Hi all,
i was trying to jump from kingdroid to criskelo what i did was:
i had already placed my rom in the internal sdcard.
installed CF-Root-SGN_XX_SEB_LQ3 through PC odin
went into cwm mode did a wipe
tried install zip from internal SD Card but now it says "file not found"
even rebooting dosent help it stays still at "Samsung galaxy note N 7000" logo
Kindly help
Thanks in advance.
Are you sure it's not on the other SD card?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
yes sir very sure even the other sd card says " E: Can't mount /sdcard/ "
That happens sometimes. Go to mounts and storage>mount /sdcard. Try toggling 'mount USB storage' a couple of times and try again. And you should really not flash anything with that kernel anyhow. Use the CM9 kernel.

as far as I'm concerned this error appears when you dont have external sd card inserted.
Are you sure, you chose "install from internal sd card"?

Lost 16GB of my SD card. Please help :(

Hello Guys!
My sdcard (16gb) space was 14GB free. I installed LINUX INSTALLER STANDARD from Google Play and was installing Linux lol. It showed me these messages when installing
"CREATING LOOP TARGET FILE.."
"FORMATTING LOOP TARGET FILE.."
"MOUNTING LOOP TARGET FILE"
"INSTALLING.. DO NOT SWITCH APPS OR PRESS THE HOME BUTTON" (installation was taking very long so I pressed CANCEL and deleted Linux.loop file from /data/local)
Then I saw my sdcard, and it showed me this:
"16.00GB USED. 3MB FREE"
i deleted all thumbnails files folders, lost.dir folder files, cache files, & even uninstalled LINUX INSTALLER STANDARD app and then used sdmaid app to recover my lost space. No method worked! There are no hidden files or folders in my card. Please help me. How can I recover my lost sdcard space?
UPDATE: It also happened to me 2-3 months ago. I could not even format my card from Settings. (I used CWM recovery for formatting). but now I dont wanna format my card. There are so many important contents in my card.
please help...... thanks in. advanced

Use diskpart (on Windows), or gparted (linux), or disk utility (Macintosh). Those will help remove unwanted partitions on the SD card.

I need help, I am having trouble sideloading Oreo CRA1 in adb. Please read!

Here is the comment chain on the Reddit post. I am /u/windexi.
I flashed BQL1 in Odin, using the options - Auto Reboot - Re-partition - F. Reset Time - Nand Erase All. It flashed successfully. I went to recovery, and wiped my /data, and cache partition. After running "adb sideload update.zip" however, when it starts to install after finishing the verification, it gives me the same error mentioned in the comment chain.
"failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system at /system: Permission denied"
I think I was possibly given the wrong update.zip or something, or I am flashing the wrong file. I have currently been flashing this BLQ1 file for SM-G950U
Please help me out here, I'm at my wits end.
Did you flash QL1 for the U or U1?

I believe for the U. Here is the link I was given...
Note the update.zip file needs to be placed in the micro sd card, not internal storage.

I originally flashed the update.zip using adb sideload. But atm I am copying to a microsd to try that. I booted up the ROM and it looks like I am on BQL1, so I am on the correct ROM here.

Sorry bud I don't know what's going on. Every time I messed up I just Odin back to stock and start over, haha, but I did back up what I wanted (call logs, SMS, apps) via Smart Switch. Hope this helps.

Internal Storage Not Getting Detected In Recovery and On PC

My Moto G4 Plus doesn't detect the internal storage in the recovery . I even tried using the PC but even on that the internal storage doesn't show up...I can't do anything with my phone now as no updates or installation to the ROM can be made and booting to the ROM is resulting in a bootloop..Someone please find a solution.

Check if internal storage is mounted in recovery [ TWRP recovery > Mount > select /data partition ]
If still not?
Have you tried downloading files on external storage?
Move files to external memory card or USB OTG stick and mount them in recovery and try to flash.

Internal storage dead
I had same issue with one of my previous phone, turns out internal storage was dead and only solution was to change motherboard.
But don't spend a buck on this phone now. Time for a new phone ,party!!

You might try flashing the stock ROM in fastboot. If that doesn't fix things, little else will.
Before you ask for a link, use the search function on the forum.
Try this!
Flash the stock Recovery and then do a factory reset! and then check if the internal is showing up! did you encrypt your phone??
