I'm using an LG V20 (obviously) and the wiimote I'm trying to use tells me that I need a PIN number or code to connect to my phone. The wii remote does not have a pin number, and I can't view the wiimote's mac address. Any way around this?
gotta use a different bluetooth stack.
You could try 0000 or 1234.

This belongs in the Q&A section in my opinion. Also the pin is 0000.

I bought this parallel port bluetooth adapter so i could print from my Universal instead of IRDA. well, it also comes with a USB dongle you can install on you computer to use that as well. that part works.
the part i can't get around is that the bluetooth pair process requires a passkey that isn't mentioned anyway in the document, no website, and i've googled my brains out. the onyl thing that seem to come close is a belkin adapter with a passkey of 'belkin', but that doesn't work. i've tried 0000-9999, 1234, IOGEAR, lot's of random junk. oddly enough there doesn't seem to be a away of pair without security like on my H4350

anyway i finally got a response from IOGEAR they say that the printer adapter doesn't have a passkey. my problem is the pairing sequence for bluetooth requires a entry for a passkey all of which fail even a blank entry. is there some registery entry that will allow me to bypass this?
thanks!
does anyone know how to pair a device with no passkey on WM5 (which requires a passkey? just hitting enter doesn't help).
Does anyone know if the issue with using a bluetooth mouse is a Honeycomb thing? Aside from the standard 'I can pair but not connect' issue I have dropped in some hci tools that allow me to use terminal to detect and then connect the BT mouse via the mac address. I know that it's getting connected but the tab doesn't display the cross hairs.
Do we know if this is a driver issue with 3.0?
Sorry to technical for me but I'd like to ask you something. I can pair my Droid with my tab but it doesn't connect what's the difference between connected and not connected. I was able to transfer a photo off my phone to the tab.

I've never tried to transfer files across BT, I just always email them or use dropbox. sorry I cant help with that one.
@it2steve,
can you give a quick how-to to get the BT mouse connected? I've been trying, but it only says "Paired but not connected". I have the MouseHack.apk (from another thread) installed, but it's not seeing the device.
Has anyone gotten a Bluetooth mouse to pair without using a pin?
I'm using a Microsoft Presenter 8000 mouse with the Bluetooth dongle just fine. However, I would like to use the mouse without the dongle. I get prompted for a pin which the mouse doesn't use. Is there a way to manually pair from a shell?

Did you try 1111 or 0000?
Sometimes those work as a default on painless devices.
If it comes with a USB adaptor and wireless does not mean it uses a standard Bluetooth profile.I have on that says wireless. 2.4 gig and so on.I thought was Bluetooth. Its not or something prevents it to connect to anything other then the USB adapter it came with.even my computer win 7 will se it as Bluetooth but not connect. Even turning security off.
The mouse doesn't use a PIN. Binds with other computers just fine without the dongle and no PIN prompt.

As already mentioned, that could be because of support Bluetooth profile between different machines and with/without dongle use. Try the defaults most devices use which is 0000, 1111, 9999, and 1234. If that doesn't work, you'll need to look at the support info for the device as I can assure it, there is a hard-coded PIN somewhere in that device
For example, I have an Bluetooth OBD-II reader for my car. On my buddy's phone (cannot remember which, but was a Windows mobile OS) did not need a PIN, but connecting to my Android, it did.
I'm digging up a fairly old topic here, but Google brought me here. I have the same problem with the same mouse. Did anybody figure it out? I am not actually using an A500 but the fact remains.
for those of you having trouble with getting your six axis controller working go to this link http://www.dancingpixelstudios.com/sixaxiscontroller/instructions.html download the six axis pair tool for your operating system you will also find instructions there and go to the android market and download the six axis controller app here https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sixaxiscontroller&feature=more_from_developer then run the app on your nexus 7 you bluetooth master code will be down in the bottom left then plug your controller to your pc run the six axis pair tool it will come up put the code from your nexus in copy it exactly how it is on your nexus then change the master code then unhook your controller go to your nexus hit start on the app you should be paired now. now click setting in the top right and click preferences then gamepad settings and then enable gamepad. you should be good after that.
sorry if this seems cluttered im at work and typed this out as fast as possible.
hope this helps some of you.
If I am not mistaken, is root required?
That method for pairing with Sixaxis is not required, can all be done on the tablet itself with a USB OTG cable.
Root is required however.

Simultaneously connect to a bluetooth headset?
I got to pair my N7 and PS3 controller thru Sixaxis just fine. But it prevents me to simultaneously connect to a bluetooth headset. So I have to disconnect my bluetooth headset and connect my PS3 controller. Does anyone know which bluetooth headset would work simultaneously with the PS3 controller?
I can not get mine to pair. Keeps saying there is no controller found on the n7. I installed both version as stated on the website.
I changed the address from the n7 and put that on the program. Not really sure what is wrong
Got it working, just had to unplug the ps3 controller then start it up.

Hy all!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) with stock Android 5.0 rooted. So, where is the problem? Since Android 5.0 update the Sixaxis Controller app is useless (not working), but the new sistem is able to find the PS3 Controller on it's own, only thing is it asks for a PIN every time you want to connect. I tried 0000, 1234, 000000, 123456, 00000000, 12345678, etc but no real luck! I managed once to connect the PS3 Controller to the phone, by mistake I think, but after the connection was interrupted the controller disappeared from the list of connected devices.
So, what I did the first time:
1. With the phone bluetooth on I connected a bluetooth mouse;
2. When trying to connect the PS3 Controller the phone did not see it and the controllers LED's blinked only for 3 or 4 seconds.
3. Thinking it was out of battery i connected the controller to the pc to charge.
4. After a while i removed the charging cable from the controller and the LED's started blinking like normal and the phone asked me for a pin to connect.
5. I put the pin 0000 and it connected immediately.
6. I turned off the phone bluetooth to break the connection and got some sleep. When i woke up I turned on the controller and the darn pin came back with no luck!
Anyone knows why the connection didn't got saved in the phone memory like the mouse did? And why did after all that the 0000 pin worked and now it doesn't!?!?
I will try to connect the controller again using the same mouse>pc technique but this time with the Bluetooth Auto Connect app installed. Hope this time the connection gets saved in the phone. Wish me luck!
Bluetooth Auto Connect doesn't do anything! Lame ... But now i know what i have to do!
