The Day Has Come Now , You Guys Were Waiting For The Stock Kernel So Far , I Compiled A Stock Kernel. I dont have this device to test it , i need few of u guys to test my kernel

Somebody told that camera modifications possible only if custom kernel is available. If possible then please add support for Camera 2 API.

I'd love to try it, but I don't see a download link? Do I have to compile this myself?

It's not released yet. The version that I tested is totally stock, and didn't even include basic modules like wifi. It was just to see if it would boot.

Surely it would have less features than stock because I can imagine that there are some closed source items that wouldn't be available. Or am I seeing this wrong.

Will this work with all variants of victara, or will it be limited to pure edition/GSM? I have a US Cellular XT1093 but am super interested in having a custom stock kernel!

Will the Moto features work with this kernel.?

I have tried to port it but it's stuck on an error related to the framework, and I have no previous experience in rom building so I cannot fix it.

I have no experience either, or storage space on my laptop for that matter, otherwise I would attempt a port. If you ever port anything regardless if it's MIUI or any other rom for the G4 Play, feel free to shoot a PM to me if you want someone to test

Yeah, there are different versions of gapps, changing the apps that comes with. The stock version comes with pixel launcher and pixel icons

Porting or developing MiUi for other devices is a pain in the ass because it's based on Stock Android and using Lineage or other ROMs as base will end up in a boot loop. Many have tried and failed. It's available only for popular devices like the OP series or the Nexus series or other flagship models. MiUi also acts as a custom ROMs for other devices developed by Xiaomi them self for marketing MiUi. G Play being a budget smartphone won't get that.

Damn it, I was hoping that wasn't the case. It's actually my favorite custom rom. I have tried all sorts of roms on my Moto x play but that 615 on it is really annoying ?. Anyways thanks for atleast trying hope you can make it work with a future release

I have flashed the ROM from the link you provided. Its a buggy ROM. NFC error is popping up making it impossible to navigate. So i had to unzip the ROM file and remove NFC folder. Again zipped back and flashed. This time i was able to navigate through settings. But SIM card wasn't getting detected. There was no Theming option for which Paranoid Android is famous. Its a ported Developer version and isn't completed. Wish someone could take it up and maintain !!!

Yes, its the first build and not the latest build and not with color engine, etc. At least he tried to make maybe he will fix the bugs soon and sync with latest source code. Hope so!!!!

Hey bro, there's a good news the developer who ported pa to lux is updating it and trying to fix bugs. He said only camera bug is left but we can use moto camera and that will work properly. He said that the upload is in progress.

As far as I know it boots - but camera and RIL aren't working. This was the 0709 build however, I'm not sure about the latest build. It's certainly a start though!

Sorry, I meant the 0905 build, not 0907. RIL = Radio Interface Layer, pretty much mobile networking.

Radio interface layer. The software layer that interfaces with the device drivers and hardware that connects to the mobile phone network. Basically the stuff that makes your smart phone a phone.

Thanks for this, been looking for an Oreo build that has RIL only thing that isn't working for me is the camera so if that breaks the experience for anyone I wouldn't recommend flashing this AEX build

Yeah, RIL works but the camera doesn't and there are lots of graphical glitches.

Is there a source thread?

Download 20th April update but after flashing couple of times phone vibrate and display bootloader tried several times but results are same why this happened ? I encountered same problem with Siberia 9.0 Kuntao, Havoc, and Resurrection remix i did all tricks which share by some users but same result
Any solution?
Note: this never happened earlier builds

Make sure your phone is treble enabled and are using the correct twrp.
