Are there other ROMs out there??

I'm running LineageOS and really do like it. However I am a crack flashing addict and was wondering if there are other ROM's out there. If there are where can I find them??

There's RR builds but devs haven't posted them on XDA. They can be found on discord though.

Uber Rom , Resurrection Remix, XenonHD,Paranoid Android can all be found on the Discord Server.

Sweet. I'll have to check those out I haven't used DIscord at all and am not familiar with it.

I'm a flasha'holic so yes I've tried all of them. Favorite ROM so far are RR,XenonHD , and Paranoid Android.

What Discord server is this? Does anyone have a link?

RR most unstable random reboots, but then again with all the features it offers I'm not surprised. Still using it as my daily drive though.
Other have not given me any issues at all.

I loved RR but couldn't get OK Google to work. Got a reboot Everytime I tried to record my voice

Weird. It's working for me great. Wiped all user data before installing, and running Magisk with injected YouTube background playback to perfection. Also, loving that full screen immersion is working. I fell in love with this device all over again.

Yeah I did a full wipe too and couldn't get it to work on the last two builds. I have lineage setup now and will give the next update a shot

BTW, I don't use the option to wake the screen with OK Google. Maybe that's where the issue was?

Yeah, you're right. The hot word detection doesn't work, but if you turn off the option to wake the screen, voice actions work when u long press the home button. Still not a deal breaker for me.

Haven't had any of those issues on any of the releases for RR.

resurrection remix os unofficial best rom!!!!

Im on resurrection remix unoffical build for quit of days now
Good battery life
Performance beast
No bugs i have encountered
Volte works great as well
No fc
Full of customization
Sadly its on October security patches but yeh that not a big dill??

Nope i have contact the dev directly he gave me he has pixel experience 8.1.0 stable version in hand also im going to test that too

Evey thing is working
Dev told me if i get hotspot or wifi error than flash heliox 13-12 build which comes bundeld with crdriod rom but in stock it works
Performance is good as par with viperos final build

The only problem I have encountered is hardware keys under customisation options doesn't work. As soon as you click on it, it force closes.
Besides that everything is working good. Deep sleep is working and it's a great rom. I played World War Heroes & it worked without a lag.

Building CM-12.1 for SM-G531F

Hi,
I'm building CM-12.1 for SM-G531F (till I don't have it a bit stable I won't be able to make any more recent version anyway). Till now I built a TWRP 2.8.7.0, its a bit buggy and reboot after some time.
I built CM-12.1, it boots and runs, but Camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, Ril, sound are not working for now.
I'm wondering if anyone was still working on it and if you want to team up.

Sound is working and now Baseband & IMEI is detected, but SIM card is not recognized. I'm working on RIL now. Hope to get a stable CM-12.1 Rom soon.
Camera still doesn't work though.

i can help you with bug fixing for both the versions ,,,, because my desktop does not have configurations to build a rom and I cannot provide a enough time.

Working on CM-13.0 now, Everything looks OK except video recording, picture works.

I am, are you sure we're talking about The G531F, one with the 64 bit chipset Marvell 1908? I am willing to try it 13 or 14 whichever you have. Just want a stable environment where i could install few small apps and make a call without major slowdowns. I want to get rid of this stock rom. Twrp is installed.

Yes, that's the one. I'm working from scratch as there are no sources for Marvell. Its a 64bit Kernel with a 32bit ROM. You can check my github sources that I posted on my first quote.

I thought this is a forum to ask questions like this and the purpose of this forum - especially a q&a thread - is to get answers, not more browsing, because everyone is searching here first for whatever mods, roms, kernels to find the best, the working one, or any new one...? And all of this is based on people who have one minute to post a useful answer here. Maybe I think the wrong way...

I currently used Agni on Kate, this seem to have the best charging speed and the battery backup is not much worse than any stock kernel. I tried shadow, this is just not for me and the third one might be useful, I have no reference from that but worth to give it a try if others don't work for you.
I found this radon version, no idea if it is working on pie or not, didn't try yet either.

Does the same with other kernels? Did you try to calibrate your battery? Might be a battery problem anyway as the device is getting older, it is 4 years since released...

Yeah that's what I thought, I reverted back to nougat and I don't have that problem anymore. Anyway nougat gives me better battery life. I was thinking of getting the battery replaced.

I'm on AOSP Extended v4.6 Unofficial build Dec 20 2018, this is a very stable ROM. I couldn't find any bugs so far.
Previously I was using Lineage OS v14.1 with Radon kernel that was also very stable. With stock kernel I was having a battery problem.
