How big was the update it should be 1.99gb and if you didn't do it the official way (very few people got it and you'll have to wait if you want it) then you need an unlocked bootloader and twrp to update.

Ok, but what do you have to do?
Download B336 to B370 faild
Going through TWRP does not work ...
Is it necessary to return to B160?
I read all the forum and nothing to do I did not find ...
Thank you

If you are on 201 then you should go to an odd number version. So is 371 available?
I use Firmware Finder, from the Play Store, and that tells me whether the software is approved for installation, by checking my IMEI.
ETA: Sorry for resurrecting this, I got confused thought it was a current question.

Help with oeminfo and custombin

Hello
I was trying to change my huawei mate 8 to a c432 to get faster updates as mine is with a pretty old version.
I used SRK Tool to unlock the bootloader and root and then i choose to change the oeminfo and custombin to the one for c432. then i reboot,
But now my phone does not boot into android, its just stuck on twrp.
i havent flashed anything and i do have my backup of oeminfo and custombin.
Any way i can recover it to boot again into android?
Thanks

hi i followed the tutorial and i changed the buildprop to NextL00C432B011 and did the dload update for L09.
i ended up with L29 under the update screen? My phone was originally an L09 (single sim).
Will i have any issues running L29?

Awesome, since i have full signal and wifi/3g is working fine i think im ok, cool.
One last thing i dload B180, the phone OTA to b192, I thought it wil be updated to b320 (emui 4.1) but it didnt.
do you guys think this b320 fw was pulled from huawei? the official dowload link for the file is not working from the FW thread here on xda.

Rollback Nougat to MM

https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...torial-rollback-n-to-mm-c432-devices-t3563955
I am trying to do this method now but I'm stuck at installing the 70mb rollback update. It is stuck on 5% and it only says "Installing update...". Anyone know anything?
Edit: I forgot to mention that when I turn my phone on it says "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly".
Try to search the rollback package on the Huawei website if you own country, it should have it in the download section of P9 Lite.
@Potato997 can you help me find it? I was searching everywhere for it, coudn't find it. The one I tried was from the thread that i mentioned above.

Macedonia
It seems that in your country the rollback package is not available.. if the rollback package that you found does not work, to downgrade you have to flash first the oeminfo then dload the MM firmware but your bootloader will lock again.
If you want to give a try, in the "Ultimate Nougat guide" there are the steps

Dude, I am from Macedonia too and that tutorial you've posted in your first post worked for me... try downloading the rollback file again, and make sure you've downloaded the right package for your phone...

Back from C900 to C150. How?

Hello,
I try to upgrade from c150b123 to c150b160 but obviously I failed. I flash C150, so I dont know where was the problem...
I read that is void my warranty. Is that a true?
What can I do to resolve this problem?
Sorry for my English!
I think you can use Huawei RollBack package using 3 buttons method and then flash c150b160 using the same method.
The rollback package and firmware image can be found on huawei site. Use google.

There is just Asia version of Rollback. I need to flash that?
As far as i know the region of the rollback package doesn't matter. I'm on c432 and used this
http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=93800&siteCode=pl
Be careful with the firmware image to be the right one (c150)

Thanks for helping! I didn't mention that I have L31 version. Or I can flash that for L21?
No, don't flash l21. The model matters. Download from huawei website rollback pckage for l31. The model does matter.
Forgot to ask you. You're on stock recovery ?

Yes, everything is stock. And b160 is Marshmallow, not Nougat.
b12x has many bugs and I just want to fix them , because my carrier didn't release update from september...
Oh yes sorry my bad. Then you don't need the rollback package. In this case the best option is to use firmware finder to update a full ota via system update.

I use firmware finder and got this problem although I check hundred times to use correct upgrade zip. I am scared to repeat update procedure because I don't want to brick my phone... :/
I guess I will have to take a risk.
You have to get the full ota update (with mf and pv in update name).

Problem updating to B381

Hello!
I have got a P9 Lite (L21C432) with B170 installed. I try to update to B381, but when it starts the update proccess, it shows an error "Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package". I'm sure that I've downloaded L21 version. So, is B381 still a beta version or is there anything else that I'm doing wrong? I have not rooted the phone and I do not want to do it, yet.
Thank you a lot!

Go into "B380, new builds in Firmware Finder" topic and read that almost no one can install that update because of that error. So its not only you, its nothing we can do except to wait.

[Firmware] Which firmware should i use to update to emui 5.xx with VNS-L31 C432 B226?

My phone had to be repaired last week, and the Huawei repair service changed everything in the phone except for the backplate.
However, I am now stuck with emui 4.1.2 in firmware VNS-L31 C432 B226, and i can't find a replacement firmware for the system.
The phone shows no update available in stock.
I have TWRP and magisk installed atm, just so i could try and get a different firmware with emui 5.1 or 5.0 at least, which I did to no avail.
Is there any way to find the correct firmware compatible with this phone?
Googling this firmware gives me no clues as to the correct path to updating this phone.
Should i use an adb/fastboot command prompt to update it, or use the dload method, or even the extract the SYSTEM.img from UPDATE.app method?
I just don't want to revert to an "earlier" version of the firmware with the dload method just to have my phone bricked.
These are the firmware i tried already:
[TO BE UPDATED]
TL/DR:
I have a Huawei P9 Lite repaired to a stock:
Firmware: VNS-L31 C432 B226
EMUI: 4.1.2
in Portugal.
I want to know a compatible firmware or series of firmware patches so i can get
Firmware: VNS-L31 C432 Bxxx
EMUI: 5.xx
Thank you for your time.
Hello,
it's strange that with an unbranded european firmware your phone didn't upgraded to android 7....
Anyhow i never done a forced upgrade but if i were you i wil try with HWOTA update, like explained in this thread.
So first make all your necessary backups, then unroot and finally follow the guide to upgrade.
P.S.: If your phone is dual sim try install B370, if single sim try with B371.
All the best

I tried a bunch of firmwares for emui 5.1 that didn't work, or which had NFC and bluetooth not working. I ended up downgrading to B160, and am now reupgrading to B370 after checking that both of the previously mentioned are working properly. I will update on this issue asap.
Also, it seems like the firmware I originally had was updated in march 2018, so it was really an updated official firmware with emui 4.1. What a weird setup. Could it be to make sure the NFC and bluetooth would be working? I just don't know...

I did it and it worked, however i flashed the recovery partition of version VNS-L31C432B380 with TWRP and now can't do a OTA update to B388.
Should I extract the recovery img from a b380 FULLOTA update and flash it to my recovery partition with fastboot?

Hey,
surely without stock recovery OTA updates won't work,
so yes try flash it with fastboot, then update to the latest/wanted firmware and finally unlock bootloader,
flash custom recovery and root (even if wanted).
Best regards
