Hello!
I have got a P9 Lite (L21C432) with B170 installed. I try to update to B381, but when it starts the update proccess, it shows an error "Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package". I'm sure that I've downloaded L21 version. So, is B381 still a beta version or is there anything else that I'm doing wrong? I have not rooted the phone and I do not want to do it, yet.
Thank you a lot!

Hi,
did you try to install the update by Firmware Finder and proxy method?

Go into "B380, new builds in Firmware Finder" topic and read that almost no one can install that update because of that error. So its not only you, its nothing we can do except to wait.

Hi Guys
I want to install Marshmallow on my Huawei P8 Lite (Single Sim). I need to have B171 installed to update.
However, I am still stuck on B133. When I try to get an update over the air, it says that I already have the latest software installed. First, I tried to do this with the updater. Then, I used HiSuite. They both give the same message: no update available.
Next, I tried to update manually, by using the update that I found via xdadevelopers (http : // www . carbontesla . com/2015/11/huawei-p8-lite-b171-android-5-0-lollipop-firmware/) but it fails to update after 15%.
Finally, I tried all of the above after a factory reset, but nothing worked.
Is there something else I can do?
Thanks in advance!
Look at your phone settings, then about the phone and look at the build number and model number, what values do you have there?

Build number: ALE-L21C432B133
Model Number: ALE-L21
You don't have the balong bug error. So try reverting to build B052, then you can maybe updated to B188
Instructions on how to downgrade you can find here
Step 2 you don't need to do and Step 3 and 4 you can do OTA with the huawei updater.
Follow instructions mentioned in below topic , then you will be on latest android 6.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/huawei-p8-lite-android-6-0-marshmallow-t3309796
Thank you for your answers.
All right folks!
If you encounter this problem as well on your device, do what Olrak and ettenleurtje have told in this thread. Downgrade to B052, then do an OTA upgrade to B170, followed by an OTA upgrade to B188. Then you have the latest OTA update, so you might decide to stop here. However, if you really want the Marshmallow Beta version, do the latest step in their guides as well.
Thank you both for helping me.
HI,
currently i've ALE-L21C636B150 running on my device. But nowhere i can find information to update from this version to MM.
Is anybody here to give me a hint to update this version to the newest mm update?
OTA updater says there is no update.
Thanks and Kind Regards
Alex
try this http://consumer.huawei.com/tw/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=80850 Compatibility: One of the following builds is required to be running on your device in order to be able to support this update.
ALE-L02C636B150
ALE-L02C636B522
cool thank you very much, i'll try this today.
THANKS THANKS THANKS !
sorry but i need it for
ALE-L21C636B150
not for
ALE-L02C636B150
there is a little difference
strange that the ALE-L21 C636B150 this version is the for L02 Did you unbranding your phone?
Update to b170 first, then update to b564.
Hi,
I got a p9 lite with build B360. I tried to install B380 FullOTA update (1.88 GB) which i found in Firmware Finder using proxy method.
But the problem is once the download progress reach 100%, a prompt shows up saying new patch (1.88 GB) and unfortunately that's a goddamn loop!!
Plz help me with this problem if you can do.
Sorry for my bad English.

For now the solution is to wait and be patient.
Hello friends,
Today I decided to upgrade my p9 lite dual sim to nougat. The build i was on was the L21-b160 and the updater showed no updates, so I downloaded the firmware finder app.
Since I am a bit new to this, I thought that the b161 would be a newer version of the b160, so i downloaded it with proxy. The update went fine. However, since then, I cannot install a newer ROM version. They all stop at 1% and say 'update failed'. At the moment, I am on VNS-L21C432B161. And ideas of how to install a nougat build?
Thank you all in advance.

Hello,
all firmwares that end with even numbers are for dual sim,
those that end with odd numbers are for single sims.
(example: VNS-L31C432B160 = DUAL SIM; B161 = SINGLE SIM)
Use Firmware Finder to try to force the update/upgrade.
Re-update first to B160 then to B370 FULL OTA-MF-PV
and finally to B416 FULL OTA-MF that is august 2018 latest security patch.
If something goes wrong dude do not point your finger at me,
what i wrote is based on my own experience, i'm not a developer...
Good luck
Cheers
thanks for your reply
now im on b160. checking b370 on firmware finder and clicking "check availability" it says is not approved for installation

Try with B370 FULL OTA MF one ( without PV )
for 370 there are only fullota-mf and ota-mf
managed to get 210 and now regular update on 228
