Hi. I think that some of the csc files have different names for the A-series 2017 but I'm pretty sure there should still be a csc folder in /system.
Are you on stock rom or is it custom tw rom?

I actually had a A320 nougat firmware, csc SER here so I extracted cache.img to take a look at the csc files. Structure and names are same as A310 and it should be extracted to system when it's flashed in Odin.
What csc do you have?
What does it say if you dial *#1234# ?

Ok I figured it probably wouldn't work since the keystrings for dialer is a part of the csc files.
Did you update to N with OTA or odin flash?
It's A320FL? Did you flash the SER update?
If you did, reflash AP and CSC parts with odin.
You could also try to tar only the cache.img and flash it but it needs the stock recovery to work, which is included in the AP part.
Third alternative is to ectract the csc and convert it to a flashable zip for twrp if you got the knowledge on how to do it.

Your data should be fine.
4-file firmwares usually makes factory reset if it's marked something with "user_low_ship" but this firmware is marked "HOME" which means that the factory reset command should not be included in the csc part.
If you want to be safe you can make a backup of personal data, just in case.

Haha no problem with the thanks
Oh sorry, I didn't realise there was two different csc packages, both containing the "user_low_ship".
Looking inside the files, I'd say go with the "HOME_CSC_OXY_A320FOXY2BQG5_CL11883096_QB14314807_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5"
It doesn't contain the pit (partition information table) file that is used to re-format.

i ll take advantage of your knowledge and i will perform a full reset trying to solve it.
do i have to flash which files in odin(zip contains 5 files and odin only 4 slots)?

I'm not sure since I dont own the A320 myself. Is the bootloader and modem interchangable between A320F/FL?
Do they have the same pit-file?
Sorry, but I can't give you a straight answer.
About the two csc-files:
HOME_CSC_XEO_A320FLXEO1AQE1_CL11174967_QB13608194_REV00_user_low_ship.tar <--Should be safe to flash. No pit file, no factory reset.
CSC_XEO_A320FLXEO1AQE1_CL11174967_QB13608194_REV00_user_low_ship.tar <-- Contains pit-file and should make reset.
Other then that, they should have exactly the same. content.

[Q] Difference between 4-file ROMs and 1-file ROMs - Stability?

Hi everybody,
What is the difference between 1-file ROM and 4-file ROM? I´ve heard 4-file ROM are more stable than the 1-file ROM with all in the same file.
Thank you very much!!

In sammobile most ROMs are 1-file, and for example the 4.3 leak in the same web was 4-file ROM.

its only how they're packed theres no difference at all,
sometimes they load everything into AP or they seperate into CSC etc.
its how samsung does and not sammobile
I have read that 3 or 4-file ROMs do "wipe" automatically. (erase all data while flashing)
I mean, they make a "clean installation".
Thanks!

Anyone could confirm that?
Why 4-file ROMs delete all data while flashing and 1-file ROMs do not?
Thanks!!
The only difference is that the 1-file "rom" is packed to contain the 4-file. There is really no difference. The only difference could be that the 1-file doesn't contain a .pit file.

Don't think that's the case but I can't confirm that. Usually it depends on if there's a script inside that makes it wipe

So, ROMs in one file don´t have CSC file? I thought the files inside were the same in both ROMs.

Correct. Get a 1 part rom from Samfirmware, unzip it & open up the tar.md5 with 7Zip/similar; no CSC file.

Thank you very much!! Can I flash a CSC file and 1-file ROM at the same time to change the CSC product code of the phone? And match it with the CSC of the firmware.
If it is possible, how can I know the compatibility between CSC files and the 1-file ROM I want to install? All are compatible between them?
Thanks in advance!
I guess, but generally you just flash the whole multipart rom. You're just unnecessarily complicating things (why people here do this I don't know).
What is it exactly you're trying to do/achieve ?

I´m from Spain and I have a S4 carrier branded. So, I have the CSC from the spanish carrier, not the global spanish code (PHE).
The phone is sim-unlocked by IMEI, and now I would like to have the PHE code in both firmware and handset, to get PHE updates through Kies and OTA in the future.
I know some apps to change the CSC, but they require root. Which is the best way of doing that without root?
I´m thinking about flash 1-file PHE ROM from Sammobile with a CSC file PHE (although I don´t know where I could find this CSC file).
Thank you very much again!!!

[How-To]Install Vodafone-Branded Marshmallow firmware to your G920F ONLY!!!

Hi to everyone!!!
I saw that many of you are having issues about the installation of the Vodafone-branded OS. If you want to install it very easily and fast, just follow this guide! You can follow this guide to install any branded OS to your G920F ONLY
WARNING: This procedure will delete all of data, however it wont trip KNOX
1. Download the Vodafone branded OS (here mirror not mine)
2. Download this pit file if your phone is the G920F ONLY
3. Open Odin and put the pit that we downloaded in the pit section and the firmware in the AP selection.
4. Start flashing
5. Voila. It is recommended to wipe the data and cache after flashing the OS to ensure the best performance out of it.
That's it. This pit file is made from @yakapa40 and make sure you press the "Thanks" button to him too.
Don't forget to press the "Thanks" button to me to for letting you know about this trick. I have tested and it works like charm!!!
No extra help will be given from me
Thanks for this PIT file, and if we want to go back to the original pit file do you know where we can find it ?
My version goes like this
1. Unpack G920FXXU3DPB8+Service+firmware.zip (Link)
2. Put the files where they say they should go (AP = AP / BL = BL ect)
3. Press Start
4. Done
This wipes you're storage so backup beforehand!
EDIT: Not sure if this trips KNOX, it shouldn't as its official firmware, but I cannot tell you as I already had KNOX tripped from the beta

If so, how do I know what PIT is my original one, and to reflash it do I need to follow the OPs instructions, only changing the PIT used and FW used? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ditto!
My Sprint phone was rooted and then one day got stuck in a boot loop, but I hate the Sprint bloatware so I downloaded the T-Mobile stock rom and odined it. I left out the home_csc file because I didn't know where to put it and it seems to be working just great.

stuck system.img every time

Hey guys,
I'm trying to go back to stock but seems impossible to me, every time odin stucks at system.img... tried with different firmwares and nothing works..
I did the formats, tried fuc****** everything...
Can anyone help me ? Thanks..
That's annoying. You need to find the exact firmware which matches to your specific phone's model no. in this case, region wise I mean. And needless to say use the latest Odin.
