I would donate for... - One (M9) General

A ROM very similar to the Nexus ROM.
Let's say starting in the developer stock, with no Sense and with google laucher, no HTC bloatware and with google apps mini package, pre rooted and OTAs working.
Is it possible all of this?

Just try slimrom or lineage OS?

I'll have a look on them, thank you for the sugestions.

Lineage OS is what you are looking for, it's the closest to a Nexus and the best experience I had with a HTC.

Flashed those in my dev edition converted M9 before without any issue.

LG G2 don't have any pure AOSP ROM?

After the April Fools prank (MOD), I started looking for an alternative to CM and I not found any pure AOSP.
I wonder how many people would like to have AOSP ROM?
Is there any developer willing to build for us? Thanks

Check out Exodus ROM. It's AOSP based and in the early stages of development, so it's fairly vanilla until now.

nope...
google edition rom is just a skinned stock 5.0.2 rom, debloated and with a google apps instead of some LG stock ones (i.e. google dialer, google contacts,...)
I found one ROM almost pure AOSP but dont have for our G2.
github.com/AOSPB
That plus CM device tree, I dont think it would be very difficult.
I would like to try, but I have an old PC.
If i remember correctly, orion os is aosp

ROM question

Hello, my big brother is recently considering buying a Nexus 6P and I was wondering if I can do something for him, and I thought it might be a good idea if I install a new ROM (stable and light) his new phone, so I asked him if it's all right and he agreed but then I asked myself what ROM on Nexus 6P should I recommend him to install.
So I need you guys (the pros) can give me a stable ROM other than the Original ROM, and all I can think of is Resurrection Remix but on the XDA youtube channel the guy said it's not very stable, so could you guys be so kind and give me a recommendation? Should my brother stick with the Original ROM or should he switch to a new ROM? and if he should switch what ROM can install?
Thank you
If you just want stability then the stock rom is the best job for that,if you want light roms then Slim6 or Uberstock is the way to go, and if you want solid all-rounders then jgcaap's CM13 builds or Beans' PureNexus rom are really good.
Pure Nexus is probably the way to go, it's based on stock but has some good useful features thrown in.

You have to take things into consideration like if he uses Android pay. Some Roms don't have support for it. While custom Roms are fun sometimes they lose features that built in to stock

Idk but I think it's ironic that you have a Google phone and want no Google stuff on it.

Totally agree. Lol. But aside from being a google phone, it has great hardware specifications, a good camera etc. And I wasn't going to go apple.
I'm on a nexus 6p and run Dirty Unicorn with no gapps with no problems. Find a ROM with the feature set you like and don't flash gapps.

Won't be as easy as you think, since installing GApps seperataly has led to issues on the 2XL, most ROMs (all but I could be wrong) have GApps included.
Maybe you can ask the dev to build you a version without GApps or build one yourself from the sources of one of the ROMs.
Carbon doesn't have Gapps.

is there any pure aosp rom like nexus devices without any tweaks and new features and root just like google devices
Lineage is probably about as close as one can get to stock Android with an aftermarket ROM.
Pixel Experience may also be close, but I've not taken a good look at it... ?

Is MUIU removed when installing custom ROM?

I am considering getting a Xiaomi Mi 9T. My goal is to install Lineage OS. I have no experience with Xiaomi and have no clue what MIUI is or how it interacts with Android. If I install Lineage or some other ROM does MIUI remain somehow? If it does remain, are there any advantages or disadvantages?

So I understand "Yes" meaning MIUI remains on the phone even after installing Lineage. Is this correct?

No!
Doing that you get the Lineage ROM stuff that is pure Android OS and has nothing kept from MIUI rom.
Nope it is not correct. If you will install MIUI nbased ROM it will still remain, if you will install AOSP ROM or Cyanogen based ROM, then it will not remain. It depends on firmware itself.

No, yes is meaning it will be remove, as your question !Is MIUI Removed after installing custom ROM? ask
If you wipe the system partition, even before flash any ROM, MIUI is gone!
If you choose to flash a non MIUI based ROM (lineage, AOSP, Oxygen OS) you will have nothing from MIUI (granted, there are some custom ROMS that are MIUI Base, but those are MIUI).
There will be some Xiaomi stuff on the very low level, such as the Radio and WIfi Firmware are untouched. But even on Stock MIUI, those low level stuff aren't MIUI, but need for the phone to work.
You seam like are new to this, maybe just try it as it comes,IMHO you gonna be missing a lot of features if going to aosp.

Yes, I am new to installing custom ROMS. I have only owned two phones, Samsung Galaxy Plus and a MotoG3. I successfully rooted both, and installed a custom ROM on the Galaxy long after I quit using it just for the experience. My current goal is to find a mid-ranged cost phone that is fairly easy to install a custom ROM and ween myself away Google. I was hoping to have a phone not tied to a Google e-mail account. The Mi9t seemed to have excellent specs for the cost. I was skeptical only because of my ignorance of MUIU. I always value the input from XDA members.

I can see why you said Lineage OS (Cyanogenmod), it was the first ROM I installed on my galaxy S2 using the cyanogenmod installer:laugh: it seems to have been removed though... Those were the days where it was pretty simple. However, it is time to move on from Lineage OS and look at other ROMs that are simply less buggy and offer more stability whilst having a bunch of features.
I am still on stock and locked but Evolution X seems like the number one ROM on this phone as of now.
The pro version of this phone has more/better development as kernel sources are out which is crucial to developing a stable ROM. Unfortunately for whatever reason we still do not have it on this device. But there are still good ROMs on here with great battery life and faster fingerprint unlock. AOD may be a bit buggy when unlocking via FP but I can't really say anything as I am still on stock.
I do like MIUI, can't lie.

As long as you double check the instructions and follow them you will be fine, then, updating simply requires you to flash the zip file via recovery (twrp).
I like this phone a lot, came from a galaxy note 4.
