Hi all. Looking for a tool - a program which will restore the system in my Archos 70 IT. Urukdroid I installed 1.6 and I want to return to the original rom regaining a place in the internal memory because even after uninstalling Urukdroid not release the memory space that it occupied. I am interested in a tool that can restore the system when the tablet is not included. Can anyone help me. Thank you in advance.
Forgive my poor English.
1. download latest firmware from archos.com
2. reboot into recovery (powen on + hold down "vol down")
3. recovery -> repair/format -> reformat device (sry not really sure how the menus are called exactly) THIS WILL DELETE ALL THE DATA ON YOUR DEVICE AND RECREATE PARTITIONS
4. u will be asked for the previously downloaded firmware file (upload via usb connection and w8 for flash)
5. you are done - your device will we ini original state wiht latest firmware
The only sentence I don't get is:
I am interested in a tool that can restore the system when the tablet is not included
what do u mean by?
But I think u should be fine with the method described above. Since all partitions will recreated and formated u got the original stock stettings after.
FrEcP Thank you for your response. To return to the way I read the original system. Is there a program like that can save RKAnoid archos 7 for my 70IT?
wow - it's really hard to understand you
Maybe write in in your own language and try using google translate after.
I know google is not perfect either - but it's understandable most time.
Do u search for some backup program to save your data and apps before u wipe your system? Then u may try something like TitaniumBackup
If u meant RKAndroid wich is described here:
This software is for the Archos7 (home tablet) wich was a gen6 device as far as I know. The gen8 (Archos 70IT) doesn't need it for flashing the firmware.
Are u sure u have a gen8 device or is it the old gen6 archos7?
PS: next time please dont post in development section of this forum. And open those threads in "app" or "general" secion

okay for apn try this http://buzzmobile.us/sprint-apn-settings-android-us/
to remove bloat I recommend this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp&hl=en any app you remove gets backed up and if you want to restore it you can
as for ota if you have custom recovery you will bootloop, and chances of keeping root aren't 100%
Hello everybody,
I know it may be a silly question , and you told me why you don't root your phone for solving this problem.
I know how to solve this after rooting but I don't want to lost my warranty as I had a hardware problem on my phone and want to be sure that was probably fixed.
I reed about android sdk.

I don't think it is possible without root access!
u need root for it.. it donnot move whole file if there is no root acess. rooting mean to have root acess unlocked. when phone in unroot it protected so some file do not able to move because security and policy if u do root phone get hacked and it provde root acess so u can make change in system files.and more
And why don't you try the adb method yourself, then if it fails start asking for help!
By the way, rooting your phone means being able to access your phone's root directory that contains many folders that might be interesting for developers and modders. Some of those folders are system, data, dev and firmware! With those folders in hand, we can do everything to our android device with respect to its hardware limitations.

For permanent change, go here.
For temporary change, go here.
Temporary change is easy to do, but MAC id will change once you switch wifi on/off or reboot.
Permanent change, might work or not depending on the kernel, and is surely a complicated process.
So the choice is yours
use Pry-fy

Detailed Procedure which i found working on my device ( Lenovo A 6000 + )after lots of attempts. Hope it helps someone.
1. Take backup of all data.( Incase of data loss, which i haven't experieced with expeerience of araound 20 times rooting)
2. Root your phone using kingoroot (via PC ) (my preference --you can root any way you want )
3. Check root sataus using root checker app (Its in playstore )
4. Make sure you have Super User (App which guarantees root access) .Its is installed automatically when rooted via Kingoroot software.(Or install it from playstore)
6. Install ESFile Explorer from playstore (again its my preference, you can use any root explorer )
7. Enable root explorer option in ES File Explorer(Grant root access when asked)
8. Directory to change mac id
Device -> sys -> devices -> soc.0 -> a000000.qcom,wcnss -> wcnss_mac_addr.
9.Open the file in ES Note Editor and change the mac to whichever you want.
10. Switch on aeroplane mode and off it.(Then only mac id changes).
Note:-
1. Mac ID is reset when resetted .(Switching wifi on and off doesn't affect)
2. The above procedure works in stock ROM (lollipop and kitkat )
Plz reply if any probs...I figured it out after too many attempts as i am quite new to these things.
