Hi, I think this is my first post here. Anyway, here the question:
I have an Ideos X5 (not pro), it is bricked. So far, I have followed instruction for recoveries from several threads, but none of them worked because in my phone:
there is no boot screen
there is no pink screen
there is no logo
there are no images of any kind (screen wont even turn on)
it only vibrates when I plug it into my computer
Also *sometimes* the buttons light up and when this happens windows detect a new USB device, but after I while it dissapears again. Also, this happens only with the battery on.
The phone became bricked after I followed instructions to revert back to froyo from gingerbread (wifi wasn't working). All roms were originals from Huawei.
So, any suggestions??
Thanks in advanced.
I had a problem like you.I have deleted amss.mbn file because Huawei locked pink screen, it was bricked But i wasn't so patience enough, i sent my phone to technical care. But here are the answers, try it with caution:

Hi
Space is not enough to flash any ROMs;
Bootloader is locked, you could not edit that sector.
So is there a special ROM that is very small and allows to edit the bootloader?
Here is the MINI ROM:
http://www.mediafire.com/?7c33h84a974va28
Flash it than edit the bootloader~
NOTICE: I format the whole sector ,and the file including IMEI was missing
'Cause I don't know how to edit recovery or other system files like .mbn,
so just delete the abnormal big file and you would be able to flash any ROM s

Ok here's what I did
Download mediafire.com/?1hbk6n46hgamyt6
Unzip it, and find UPDATE.APP
Put UPDATE.APP in a dload folder and upload to empty sdcard.
Put sdcard in phone, and hold vol+/- and power and flash it.
After phone has restarted pull battery.
Download http://www.mediafire.com/?6hrfz36b8e2vw87
Unzip and copy the dload folder to empty sdcard.
Hold vol+/- and power and flash it.
After it fails near the end or if it restarts then pull battery.
Download a rooted boot.img and a clockworkmod recovery.img (got both mine from links at modaco)
Attach phone to PC in pink screen mode and delete the boot.img and recover.img files.
Upload the downloaded root.img and recovery.img to image folder in phone.
Download any custom rom from XDA, I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475687 and upload it to sdcard
Pull battery.
Hold vol+ and power and go into clockworkmod, wipe everything and flash the custom rom!!
Good luck!

Tried taking off the battery for 10 seconds and after that inserted USB into computer (without battery)? Also try to take off battery and insert USB to wall-charger.
The buttons lighting up could be our way out, but if it only stays there for a couple of seconds it doesn't help. Can you see what Windows detects?
Hi again,
thanks for answering.
None of your suggestions worked anyway, because it won't even load anything from the sdcard, it just makes a short vibration and nothing more.
I managed to get the lights on again, but windows didn't show what kind of device it was, maybe because it's already installed but I'm not sure which usb device is it (windows did make a sound though, like "device is connected" sound). Also I noticed there's a red led blinking near the speaker, does that mean anything?
Anyway, tried to flash while the lights were up but it did nothing, and after two minutes the went off again.
Thanks again for your suggestions.
I connected the phone to my laptop with ubuntu, and despite I cannot do anything with the phone, there are two devices created in /dev: hiddev0 and hidraw0. Is there a way to flash the device using any of those files?
thanks again.
Worth a try on this post : Here
It is fried then
Try mounting those two devices, is there any file system recognized? It might not be bricked, but this is an issue probably nobody has had yet. Send it in for repair if it is still within warranty.
Important question: How did this even happen?

Hi,
thanks for all the help.
Sadly nothing works with this phone, I tried mounting and dd from the devices but nothing happens.
I guess I'll send it for repair (hope it's still within warranty)
Anyway, thanks again for all the suggestions.
Bye!!

If the phone wasn't rooted, then it is still within warranty
This is what happened....
I was on stock Rom and as time went by it started slowing down on me. Ive never rooted this phone and decided to factory reset the phone. So when i did, the hard reset..... as it went to the Samsung logo the phone shutoff, after right away went directly into download mode. i freaked out and pulled the battery. Then i put the battery back in and it wouldn't boot. So I'm guessing its bricked cause it shows no sign of life at all .
I was looking up "how to unbrick a Galaxy note 4" and unfortunately unbrick methods dont exists. I even called up my local Jtag service and He said nothing can be done except sell him the phone for 100 bucks for parts (Which i refuse to believe) .
After reading around for an entire day i came across
Part 1 : http://www.androidbrick.com/ultimate-qualcomm-snapdragon-unbrick-guide-snapdragons-are-unbrickable/
Part 2: http://www.androidbrick.com/unbrick...-you-have-the-right-kind-of-rom-qhsusb_dload/
Ok, so i figured some things out thanks to Android brick ! .
In-order to unbrick all Galaxy Note 4's which run on Snapdragons 805 is to access Qualcomm's Service Port Via [QHSUSB_BULK] ---> [qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008]
Now we can use MiFlash 2012 To Unbrick our Snapdragon 805s from a "Hard Brick".
So their are 5 things we need to unbrick all galaxy note 4's:
-MPRG8084.hex <-------------- Main
-8084_msimage.mbn <-------------- Main
-rawprogram_32GB.xml
-patch0.xml
-Settings.xml
If we can find these, we just found the ultimate unbrick solution for all Snapdragons 805 phones.
And after i found all that stuff so complicated, i would like to try this except the note 4 version:

What is Hard Brick?
Hard brick is the state of android device that occurs when your device won’t boot/respond/charge at all. This is mainly caused by flashing corrupted firmware, damaged bootloader, incomplete flashing in Odin/Download mode, or interrupted OTA upgrade. You can't recover from hard brick by traditional methods since your phone is ~dead & you can't enter any Recovery or Download Modes; You'll need to use JTAG (expensive service), USB JIG (cheap, but no gurantee), or this free guide/files to get it repaired.
What do you need?
- Hard Bricked Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (N910W8)
- Micro SD Card: 4/8/16/32 GB micro SD card
- Unbrick Image: working dump with the same bootloader/version
- Image Writer: native commands on Linux/MacOSx or Win32 Disk Imager on Windows
How to recover?
1- Download Unbrick Image for your bootloader from here
2- If you're using Windows, download Win32 Disk Imager
3- Backup all files in the micro SD card you 'll use
4- Write the Unbrick Image to your micro SD card using Win32 Disk Imager or Linux/MacOSX commands
5- Remove battery, Insert micro SD card & then the battery
6- Hold Power + Home + Volume Down to enter Download Mode by bootloader on SD card
7- Flash Stock firmware via Odin & Enjoy
Downloads:
All files you may need are available in this folder
-So if some one can create a "you need to create your own Unbrick Image since I can't share it for the device-specific bootloader. Just run this Unbrick Image Creator in recovery & it'll create "/sdcard/Unbrick_Files" in your internal SD card." for me, id love to try it and see if it works.
I was running Android 5.1.1 With Rogers before it went down and wonder if someone can run the unbrick image creator and create an unbrick file for the rest of the Canadian Galaxy Note 4s.:good::[/QUOTE]

they didnt even offer you to change some of the hardwares? the samsung service center near me will try to fix it and then if they are not able to fix it thru software then they will try to change the motherboard or battery it depends on what they think the problem is, next time dont just pull the battery especially when its trying to complete something.
I actually managed to get that unbrick thing working. My note 4 bricked just like yours. MMC Read failed constantly. Freezing and reboots. Until one day it just stopped turning on and would not go into download mode. I managed to get the note 4 file somewhere (I forgot where) and put it onto an external SD card and managed to get the phone into download mode. The phone still has the mmc read fail error at times and freezes and reboots. Still dont know what to do about that.

Lucky you! Hey, at least you have something to use.
Oh and Just hook it up to Samsung Kies or Odin and do a full factory reset, that should get rid of any bugs.

well the samsung service centers usually replace your phone.... for me it's a bad thing you lose a lot of data and you get criticised for rooting and they usually take longer to fix your device and the price is very expensive if not insured :/ but well they get the job done

Lucky you when my previous cell broke down they asked me hat might have caused the issue i replied like an idiot i don't knoe later they started asking if i might have rooted my device well it was rooted and with a custom kernel and rom tge only thing samsubg was the logo on the front bevel in then end i told them about the root alone and got criticized for that and since the phone was 2 years old the warranty was expired ao had to pay almost 120 dodos for a new board :/

Yea, i tried to look for the files.
Seems like theirs nothing at this moment for the snapdragons 805, but phones running on snapdragon 801 and 800s can be fully un-bricked from a "hardbrick"
atleast we all have a solid idea how to fix this issue thanks to AndriodBrick.
for now, what you could do is buy a new motherboard or go to a Samsung repair center and when the developers release a fix, just fix the bricked motherboard and sell it. :good:

Yea, for the unbirck img, not sure where to find the proper boot loader on stock ROM.
So 2nd method from the top post not worked or why it's stroked out? Or it needed special unbreak image that we haven't and it can be done with unbrick image creator?
So if I'm reading the op correctly then you just need someone with a working canadian note4 to run the unbrick image creator in recovery to make the needed unbrick file? Then this file can be flashed on non-working phones to unbrick them?
And I'm assuming working phone needs to be rooted with custom recovery?

Is there an Unbrick yet?
Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910F.
Suddenly, literally out of nothing it died.
No reaction when trying to power it on, no reaction when trying to charge it. nothing, literally NOTHING. (Also tried different chargers, sockets, cables, and 2 different batteries)
I did NOT root the phone, i did not use cheap chargers, everything was/is stock.
When i connect my Note 4 to my laptop, and go to device manager, it finds: QHSUSB_BULK
I dont know if it is bricked because i didnt do anything weird with the phone.
QUESTION 1: IF MY LAPTOP FINDS THE NOTE 4 AS "QHSUSB_BULK", IS IT NECCESSARILY BRICKED?
QUESTION 2: IF IT IS BRICKED, IS THERE A UNBRICK YET?
QUESTION 3: IF THERE IS NO BRICK, WILL A MOTHERBOARD REPLACEMENT DO THE JOB?
So this unbricking works only for Canadian phones? Am I saved?
I would love to hear the news. Because I think mine just got bricked today. And it is a Canadian version.

Hey guys, so I flashed Kyubi ROM a few days ago, I used to use that for a loooong time, so I'm pretty sure it isn't the ROM, what I did notice was the last few weeks, every ROM I flashed was a bit laggy and glitchy (not sure if it has anything to do with that).
So anyways, I was at school, pulled my phone out of my pocket to see it has turned off, tried to turn it off again and nothing happened, I thought it was just a dead battery. But once I got home, I plugged it in the charger, but the battery indicator didn't pop up. I googled for some stuff, tried a lot of ''fixes'', but nothing seems to work. I tried putting in a different battery, tried different chargers, but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have any idea why this isn't working? This is very frustrating..
TLDR; Phone doesn't turn on, tried different batteries, chargers, nothing helps.

If you want your phone to boot by debrick image then you must write debrick image using win32 disk image software in pc to microsd card minimum 8gb capacity and will you also require qualcomm usb drivers install on pc. or it will not work. Are you able to go in download mode ?

One more thing.. Here are the .SDC files for direct sdcard boot repair. So choose what sdc you need and try to flash.
The flash procedure is this:
1.Put the .SDC file to your sdcard (sdcard must be formated as FAT32 and must be SDHC max 16GB)
2.On the phone press VOLUME DOWN + HOME + POWER
3.If all is ok the phone will display SDCARD MODE and will try to flash the phone with the file provided to sdcard
4. IF the process went ok now you have to flash the phone with odin and stock rom.
If the phone didnt boot to SDCARD Mode you will need a USB JIG that you can buy from ebay or somewhere else...
I hope this help you.

so i tried that with my samsung galaxy s3 mini and it just did nothing when I pressed start
can someone please help me, or is my telephone fried for good?
Hey guys I'm sorry for the continuously bumping but... I tried like every single method. And there is one little bit of hope for me, that is that someone gets me the debrick.img which I can use..
but I don't have really much hope for that
still always open for help
I am desperate
thanks
pleaaase someone help me i beg u guys i really need my phone
So yesterday I got a notification for an OTA update (I'm on sprint). I am rooted, have xposed, and have twrp installed. Partly because of my stupidity and also just to see what would happen, I clicked download and install now. Now the phone doesn't show any signs of life, even after taking out the battery and trying to drain the capacitors by holding down power then putting the battery back in. Doesn't show up on my computer when plugged in, and doesn't have any power led when charging. I've tried 4 batteries with it (lol I have too many) and they all don't work. They were all charged with external anker chargers. I've tried with the sim card and sd card taken out, too.
So yeah, my phone is dead and I have no idea what to do. I'm pretty sure I'm out of warranty because it's been two years and I've modified it.

You might consider to have a look here if you didn't do it already mate : http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/note-4-debrick-img-t3488114
If you need the debrick.img for the sprint varient, I can give you that.
I thought OTA would not install, if you were rooted and had a custom recovery.

Hey, thanks for the help. I'm not sure how to check if my device is hard bricked? Is it normal for there to be no signs of life at all, not even power LED or vibrations? I can't get my phone to the download mode in order to show up in odin so I'm not sure how I would flash the unbrick file. When I plug my phone into my computer windows says that the device has malfunctioned and I can't find it in the device manager.

It's worth to try it i think. Some users got back their phones to life using this method. @RDChase is offering you a debrick.img for your variant. This method is using sdcard so no worries at the moment with Odin
Similar thing here, Sprint, TWRP, rooted, stock rom one of the early ones v4.4.4?!
Over last couple month it kept trying to update itself at night, very sneaky!!!! I have disabled auto-download and update BUT clearly it found a way around it, bastards!
It was in a reboot loop, extremely hot and buzzing, woke me up in the middle of night, I thought it going to burst in flames like Note 7!
So I pulled the battery out and left it out till morning, but now it no longer powers up, no LED, black screen, PC keeps saying USB drive malfunction and un-recognized, can't put it in recovery or download mode! Odin doesn't detect it also. PC device manager doesn't detect it either! Used volt meter to check both batteries both are fully charged up, but it doesn't show LED charging light?!?
Is there any way to un-brick it?
Again, I repeat phone does not power up and PC doesn't detect it!
Please help, if I can't un-brick it than I have few days until end of year to catch deal on upgrade to LG V20, hopefully it can be un-looked and rooted????
Edit: Just read online there is possibility that Note 8 is coming out either in April or Early August 2017!!!!!!
I need my Note 4 working again and last until new Note 8 comes out!

Will mounting De-Brick.img on sdcard even work if phone doesn't power on or go into download/recovery mode?
Yes. Instead of booting from internal memory, the cpu will boot from the external sdcard. Make sure you prepare it correctly however. The sdcard must be the 32GB+.
Take a look at this.

Is is for the s3, I know... However, it's the same stuff happening.
This works on a soc level, not the bootloader level.

Removed, can't get it back either

hi. once you get it to boot from sd card and configure the phone how do you make it so it can boot normally without the need for the sd card?

:good: Thank you for debrick.img was looking for Sprint one everywhere!
Is it supposed to be 128mb or around 4Gb?
Debrick.img doesn't includes stock Rom, does it? If it does which version?
Next Steps:
1. Copy debrick.img to sdcard?
2. Put in sdcard + battery +press VolDown+Home+Power?
3. USB connect to PC + flash new Rom using Odin?
4. Root again?
Is this correct way to do it?
Has it worked for anyone?

I'm confused, I correctly mounted the image to the sd card and I put it on the phone with a fully charged battery, and tried booting into download mode thru home + volume down + power. it doesn't show anything on screen or any LEDS. it's connected to the computer but it says "usb device malfunctioned". Thanks for your help
I can't get into download mode even with the unbrick sd card in, I mounted it with win32DiskManager and everything. No charging LED or screen or vibration at all.
I installed qualcomm drivers and it shows up as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008"
After some research looks like this is the only method that would solve my issue.. problem is that nobody has released the files needed to do this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/unbrick-samsung-galaxy-note-4-sm-n910w8-t3249970
Edit: Would a USB jig help me?
dead4ngel - to permanently fix it, just Odin the stock firmware
Others - I wasn't clear in how to prepare the SD card.
To prepare it properly you image the SD card with the debrick image file. This has to be on a 32+ GB SD card. (On a Linux machine where your in the folder with debrick-n910p.img is located and your SD card is /dev/sdx the command is dd if=debrick-n910p of=/dev/sdx)
You then put it in your phone, boot to download mode (it may take a few tries), then Odin a stock rom (PH1 or PK1 only) which MUST contain the bootloader
After this you don't need have the SD card be prepared like this, your bootloader will be fixed

:good: Again thanks a lot for debrick.img it worked, you saved my butt!
Here is what I did to make it come alive, it did take couple trial and errors on my part.
Warning DO NOT copy & paste image file directly onto sdcard, it wont work!
Instead use the diskimage win32 software that was mentioned in Debrick thread before.
I used it to unpack and write file from debrick.img onto 16GB sdcard (only one I have) using that little piece of software.
I plugged in sdcard + battery, than pressed power button and phone came back to LIVE:angel:
Now it is back in my original KitKat Rom v4.4.4 still booted from sdcard, I was able to transfer all my documents and photos to my PC, thank God!
Ps screen got very hot again while it tried to run another software update, I killed it with task manager and turned off Data+WiFi radios for now, until I re-Flash from Odin!
Now for next step to flash new ROM using Odin, do I have to flash original KitKat 4.4.4 or Lollipop 5.11 recovery or can I just flash stock Marshmallow 6.11?
Is there stock Sprint+rooted+De-Odexed Marshmallow 6.11 version I can safely flash?
Do I need to root again each new ROM?
pLz i want to update jn lollipop halp me
Sent from my Panasonic ELUGA Z using XDA Free mobile app
@RDChase One step forward two steps backward arhh!
Managed to put it into download mode + downloaded Marshmallow PK1
BUT still having issue with malfunctioning USB device "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)
I have installed Google & Samsung & Qualcomm drivers to no effect!
How do I fix it?
try differnt usb cords and/ports
unistall/reinstall samsung drivers
take a look at this
yes please !!!!

Before you ask for things, LOOK FOR THEM! I want YOU to find the link, This should help you.
A friend of mine gave me this phone after unexpected self shutdown. The phone was in a boot loop. At this point where I am right now I think I tried everything I can. I have read various guides and tutorials how to bring this phone back to life and nothing works for me. I suppose that there is some damage on mainboard but till I losse this phone I want to be sure. So the situation looks like this. Since the bootloader in locked and there is no working OS I am not able to unlock the bootloader. (If I am wrong here tell me please because I can't find a solution "how to unlock bootloader without having working OS"). The only metode to flash this phone in this state is to use QFIL. Flashing through fastboot fails everytime - booloader locked -> no *.img flashing. So I have 4 various versions of stock ROM for this phone and after flashing via QFIL the phone doesn't boot. It end with 3 possible ways. 1'st way - clasic bootloop. 2'nd way - frozen on loading screen. 3'rd way - black screen with blue LED, USB diagnostics state, 9006 port opened, no chance to flash because of closed QD port 9008. After this I have to erase every single one of the partitions made through flashing. Then I am able again to flash with QFIL.
I have no idea where is the problem here or what am I doing wrong. I tested the internal memory with a partitioning program in search of bad sectors -> 100% OK. Filled the whole memory with zero's and then formated it. It didn't help. Are every of my stock ROMs broken or is this phone realy damaged? Dear XDA community help me please! I have no clue what can I still try.

CM through QFIL already tried. Doesn't boot. I've got .zip ROM images but without TWRP no chance to use it. I have got also an image in .qsb file but no idea how to push it into the phone. Will it work through fastboot to put the file into the phone and than flash through diagnostic mode ?

Already tried your copy. To be honest tried it many times in every way I could. The phone is now sitting for over 3h frozen on loading screen. It is never going to boot or tell me that this is normal... Ereased the whole internal memory by delting every existing partition and then flashed it via QFIL. Also tried to format the whole memory in ext4. Same result. Like I said the phone is laying right now for over 3h on the same CYANOGEN screen with some graphical artifacts.

OMG This room booted normaly. Thank you some much my friend! You made my day. It is a step forward. However all connections aren't working. I can't find "OEM unlocking" under Developer Options. I want to unlock the Bootloader as soon as possible so I will be able to put TWRP recovery and then flash it with any available CustomROM

Many hours frozen on black screen with blue led. 9008 QD port blocked. 9006 USB Diagnostics port opened. No chance to flash until all partitions are erased and the port is reset. Otherwise I need to try getting to the 9008 port by puting the USB cable while holding the "Vol Up" button and then flash it agin with QFIL.

Right now thanks to Borja Viera I used the working OS to make a "sdfuse" folder on the internal memory, put the .qsb image file into the folder and flash the phone through diagnostic mode. I have got right now android 5.1.1 on it and it booted normaly However the connections still aren;t working. I managed to enable "OEM unlocking" then got to the fastboot mode with a bit of help from AIO tool (because turning the phone with pressed "Vol Up" and "Vol Down" buttons at the same time makes the menu but no "go to bootloader" shortcut over there). Unlocked the bootloader manualy with minimal ADB. Then I wasn't able to put TWRP as the recovery because of some weird error comming every time I tried the command. So I flashed the phone once again back to CM 12.1 soft only to get other "the better one - with many options" bootloader. Tried flashig TWRP once again and voila! TWRP working!! Bootloader unlocked! In a while I will be downloading some CustomROM and turn this phone back to life... I hope so
[UPDATE]
Tried 5 different ROMs:
Two Cyanogen:
1'st - black screen blue led usb diagnostics state with port 9006 opened
2'nd - frozen on loading screen
Three CustomROMs:
1'st Official Lineage
2'nd Unofficial Lineage
3'rd AICP-12.1
All three are not booting. Phone resets itself on loading screen -> boot loop. Do you have any sugestion right now? In TWRP everything wiped and ROM installed on clean phone. Gapps installed too from Open Gapps website. Eveything done right with the instructions.
Is this phone really damaged?

If you're still in warranty, the best bet will be to get it replaced. Because it seems like a serious issue in the hardware.

Asked my firend about it. The phone is like 1 month old. He was making some pictures and the phone suddenly died and got to boot loop. He bought it new on ebay. Shipped from China. He already made some research about the warranty before he gave it to me. He made some calls and emails to customer service here in Germany and they told him that he has to send the phone back to China. No warranty in Germany. It is not worth to send it back to China because of duty tax on the way to China. They send him this phone on some special shipping method to avoid this taxes and stay with profitable shipping price. But if you need to send it back they won;t help you at all. And the dispatch price is a no-go.
Since I have decent experience with electronics and flashing various smartphones he gave it to me with a though that I will be able to bring it back to life.
I already said when I started this topic that I suppose that this phone has some damage on the mainboard because of the weird behaviour. I just want to be sure about that and try everything I can before I tell him that he wasted his money by buying this phone.
I want to thank you for your support! If you have some ideas what could I still try I will gladly listen.
