DO NOT FLASH HYDROGEN ROMS ON HELIUM, OR YOU GONNA HAVE A HARDBRICK.
IN CASE YOU HAVE ONE, HERE IS THE SOLUTION.
This was tested with Xiaomi Mi Max 128GB helium and localized rom from xiaomi eu.
I am not responsible for bricked devices or anything else. So at your own risk:
1. Install official MiPhone drivers
2. Download and install MiFash beta.
3. Download and unpack TWRP for miflash: 32gb or 64-128gb thanks @Abdess76.
4. Download ROM for your device, I recommend to try this one. You can install RR/CM Rom as well.
5. Run MiFlash with admin rights.
6. Turn off the phone, plug the cable to PC and halfway to the phone.
7. At the same time press Volume + and Volume - and plug in the cable.
8. Refresh MiFlash phone should show up. (If it didn't then make sure you did it right and u got drivers)
9. Navigate to your unpacked TWRP and flash it.
10. Now, boot ur phone with volume up. It's a bit slow. If it's stuck on miui logo, just release button and wait.
From here start to pay more attention:
11. TWRP can ask for password, press cancel and allow modifications by moving slider.
If you just need ROOT and your current rom, skip to the step 16. Also there is a recovery from boot in system folder. If you won't remove it, recovery may be replaced with stock one after reboot. Keep it that way if you want OTAs.
12. Format data.
13. Enable MTP and put modified zip in your phone.
14. Go to mounts and unmount system **
15. Flash your rom.
16. Flash latest supersu.
17. Reboot the phone.
In case u got NO OS message, then it means that u probably ignored step 15.
Also first boot may take like 15-20 minutes, since eu rom is deodexed.
Just to be sure, after installation mount system partition and navigate to the /system folder using TWRP's file manager and make sure it's not empty.
* In my case system didn't install because script could mount system partition since it was already mounted.
P.S. In order to update, you need to install OTA for offical rom via TWRP. Then without rebooting flash SuperSU, and finally using TWRP's file manager navigate to system folder and delete file named recovery from boot. Doing so will keep root and recovery.
Thank you so much for the guide! I will try it tonite
Waiting for boot loader is just too long..
WOW!!!! Just, wow..... I can not believe it but it worked like a charm. It took me forever to figure out my issue with the drivers, but after solving that I followed you step-by-step. And, lo and behold, it WORKED! Note for other users, Twrp took about a minute or two to finally boot up and it took me personally about 15-20 minutes before MIUI 8 finally booted. Just wait it out and you should have the amazing results that Doom Slayer has so graciously provided you
THANK YOU!!!!
I just done following your guide and it works!!
For rooting, I tried 2 times before it works. I believe you missed out a step to mount back system before flashing supersu.
So in the future, how do we dirty flash? Start from step 13?
How about clean flash? Start from step 12?
Thank you once again for this great guide!!
You saved me a lot of time waiting for Bootloader approval.

Yeah, dirty flash is you keep your data and format system and caches .
Clean flash is u format data as well.
The thing is that u have root, and ur phone is also secured. It's linked to ur Mi account, while it's locked. It's better to keep that way
Theoretically If you will ignore steps from 12 to 16. (Maybe u can ignore data formatting too)
Then you can get a ROOT and TWRP on your current rom.
And also theoretically while on miui 8 rom ,u can try to unlock bootloader without waiting.
Try this manual.
I have followed these steps and bricked my phone, spent the last 24h trying to recover it no luck.
I got an error while in the process of flashing the rom at step 16, then tried again and phone went black, stopped responding.
It's not detected using adb or fast boot, it appears in device manager as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" or "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E", I have tried to flash again TWRP or the official ROM, it says success every time but the phone is still dead.
Could it be due to locked boot loader ?

Which rom did u flash, give the link please.
Are u sure it's for your version? It can be a broken file as well.
Does the device connects when u hold both volume buttons?
It's called emergency download mode, u can istall rom with miflasher.
There is a testpoint method also.
All u need is a pic from this post on http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=749580&st=700#entry51154086
U need to disconect battery, connect testpoint to battery and flash ur device with miflash.
After that let it charge, since this in your state phone consumes battery.
thanks for you answer, I flashed the MiMAXPRO EU ROM xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMAXPro_6.8.4_v8-6.0.zip (sorry as a new user not allowed to post a link yet)
When I hold both volume buttons the screen is still black but MI Flasher works with COM10, after flashing a ROM or TWRP again MIFlash says "success" but the phone is still dead and won't start up even after holding power button for a long time.
I'm happy to open the phone and try the method on the russian forum, I will try tomorrow hope it will start up

Don't worry about your phone, the testpoint method will work for sure.
But in order to prevent this kind of situations ,we need to determine the reason how did it happen and you need to help me with that one by answering following questions:
1) You have mentioned that you had an error 1st time.
I also had error which was cache related, and it's OK because that partition was just formatted. You tried to flash again... but did you unmount your system partition for second time?
2) What's the capacity of your internal storage?
3) Did you use internal or external storage? If external then I need the model and the file system that have been used on that storage.

Hello,
I managed to recover the phone, I installed a fresh windows 7 on another PC with only MI Flash Beta installed, device appeared as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" as usual and I flashed the china ROM. Not sure why it wouldn't start previously after flashing, maybe issue with drivers.
1) unfortunately I don;t remember the syntax of the error, it was after a few seconds of flashing but the process seemed interrupted, I even googled it but my browser history has been purged.
2) 64GB (Helium)
3)I used internal storage, copied the zip on the phone using MTP.
Might try to go through the process again this weekend.

hi to all of you. I am very interested by this thread. Here is the story. I received my brand new mi max helium this week but it was the chinese rom. I am in France and my country did not appear in the settings. So I wanted to flash a global rom. I plugged it to my pc in recovery mode and a window appeared said that there is an update. I clicked ok and after a while I got stuck in the mi logo bootloop.
Then from then I tried everything possible from several solutions here, but nothing worked. What I got is the mi logo without bootloop, but nothing more.
I get the message that the bootloader is locked, but I can't get it unlock if it is in this state.
What I can reach is the recovery mode and the fastboot mode. But nothing else worked, flash or anything.
That is why I am interested to flash a recovery, in order to flash a clean rom, etc..
I did what you, Doom Slayer, explains, but I could not get a twrp flash. It ends with "receiving hello packet" in mi flash, and every thing stopped.
If I cannnot install any recovery, I cannot flash a rom.
So please if you have any suggestion, it would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

Did you disable drivers signature?
Also some people have a better luck on windows 7, u can try a virtual machine.
If you can enter EDL mode, then you should be fine.
Unless Chinese already disabled it in a new update.
I would blame drivers. Make sure u got them correctly.
Updated tutorial.
Uploaded TWRP for helium, so you don't need to edit updater script anymore, since script will get correct model.
Now you can try to get root on your current rom and unlock bootloader without Xiaomi's confirmation.
People having helium with unlocked bootloader may also have problems installing roms from xiaomi eu, if they have TWRP from hydrogen.
You may update using my recovery.img from archive using fastboot, or TWRP(will also work for locked bootloader).

hi Doom. Thank you for reply. But what do you mean by " disable drivers signature". I did not do anything but install the drivers and when I am on what I think is EDL mode(screen isi black) the driver is recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008(COM20).
Anyway, I will give another try and let you know. Thank you again.

I followed your guide and I could get the twrp installed. So I tried to install rom(following your link). It said rebooting in 5 seconds, and then nothing. The screen is black, no power anymore, no logo, no vibes, and no life at all.
I cannot get any more reaction from it. I plugged it to my pc, but nothing is connected. I was so happy with twrp working... Any idea?...
one more information I don't know if it can help, when I flashed first, I tried the "xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMAXPro_6.8.4_v8-6.0" and a message said "failed. This rom is for helium and this is hydrogen phone". Which is strange because mine is helium(4GB/128GB).
Then I tried with the "xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMAX_V7.5.6.0.MBCCNDE_v7-6.0" rom, and everything got ok, last message "success. The phone will reboot in 5 seconds", and from then, dead all over...

Looks like you installed hydrogen TWRP and that caused all your problems.
I've been very careful to install the helium twrp from this thread...
Hullo,
I succesfully installed Lineage with no problems in the OS, but was unable to access TWRP as it asked for a decryption pattern that didn't seem to match the pattern I set on my phone. I then tried a password in the OS but this also didn't work in TWRP.
After checking the thread again, I found Unjustified had recommended the TWRP found in his bootloader, which I then downloaded and proceeded to install via fastboot. The installation appeared to go smoothly but after that I was unable to turn on my phone.
After pressing the power button I am presented with either the battery icon or the ZTE logo, which disspears after a few seconds followed by three flashing red lights. The last flashing light seems to be cut off part way.
I thought this might be a dead battery but even after charging for an extended period of time the result is the same.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

Your phone doesn't seem to be bricked at all.
That was a known issue many G users encountered...
Just boot into TWRP by pressing Power and volume + or choosing it from the bootloader warning screen and reflash the universal B15 N bootloader.
Reboot your phone and from now on it should boot every N rom just fine :fingers-crossed:
Good luck,
Martin

I'm glad to hear it is quite common, but I should mention that the three lights persist when I try to load TWRP... I can only get as far as the ZTE logo.
The bootloader warning also hasn't shown since I attempted to flash TWRP as the phone appears to cut off after showing ZTE.
I will try an overnight charge in case the battery is completely empty and somehow slow charging. But any other suggestions are most welcome.
Kind regards,
James

You should try some button combinations like
Power + volume down
Power + volume down + volume up
And see how the device reacts
It helps connecting the device to a PC to look up in device manager to determine the mode its booted in

Thanks for the continued help.
I was just trying to connect it to the PC and appear to have made some headway, it started off showing up as qusb_bulk, but after repeatedly deleting that driver I returned to Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM6).
As I understand axon7root *should be able to write to the device at this point.
Does this device name give any indication as to the problem?
I wonder if miflash could be used on a G model to unbrick it. I'm happy to restart from stock files.

As you are in EDL now you have some options.
First I would try to flash a recovery and boot image that is proven to be working fine e.g official twrp https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/recovery-official-twrp-zte-axon-7-t3515715 or some A2017G stock boot.img
If that doesn't help you could get in contact with @jcadduono to be a tester for that miflash method. (As your device is already pretty badly bricked)
I don't exactly know how EDL flashing works if it depends on a exact GPT table or not.
But I can say that I flashed every single part of the A2017U bootloader except for NON-HLOS (modem) on my A2017G for each B29 and B15 and it worked just fine. So maybe we just have to exchange the modem file in the EDL package :silly:
If you don't want to take that risk you also could try sending it back to ZTE and hope they don't check the bootloader :fingers-crossed:
(Just a thought: Maybe if the EDL package won't work on your device it will be so heavily damaged ZTE can't check for bootloader unlock and accept it as a warranty case, but don't take that too seriously )
Regards,
Martin

If you are not afraid then try to use my package for A2017G with MiFlash: https://mega.nz/#!88BjXKhA!TnVSobBw5PkmShSqZ-Ni8MCCbnhJP2SWRNvvXqYHSjc
I really appreciate all this advice!
Looks like the MiFlash is promising. I was able to load the phone into MiFlash from the [EDL] thread. I have just tried the A2017G package provided by djkuz and will report back with any updates.
Just got to the mifavor screen, charging the battery from empty, although quickcharge appears to be functional again.
The charging battery logo is different from before so appears that this bootstack has done the trick.
The flashing red light has gone now, appears to be loading Lineage as before! I'm so grateful for all this help
However, now the unlock pattern is coming up as 'wrong pattern'. Is there anything that can be done? My settings appear to be saved as before (wallpaper and quick settings are the same).
I will attempt to reinstall twrp recovery and fix the lockscreen over adb. Thanks very much for the help. The brick has gone!!

Hi,
A2017G
Started with marshmallow,
Unlocked bootloader
attempted to install Slim7
seemed to work but with some possible errors, (wouldn't sync with google... retrospect I should have looked elsewhere before...)
attempted in install stock rom
using
ZTE_A2017GV1.2.0B04_BootStack_by_tron1.zip
ZTE_A2017GV1.2.0B04_Stock_System_by_tron1.zip
which wouldn't boot
So I tried reinstall Slim7
then stock again,
then, like the noob that I am, I removed twrp with
ZTE_A2017GV1.2.0B04_Full_Stock_Reverter_by_tron1.zip
which installs stock recovery
so, now I have a stock rom that won't boot,
an unlocked bootloader
and stock recovery
Not sure what to do from here
thanks in advance for any assistance.
I can abd sideload and update from SD card, but everything I have fails signature verification.
edit: so frustrating trying to find that 1 zip

Just use MiFlash, that one's guaranteed to work. Read my DFU unbrick guide to know how to use it. Just skip the part where you have to disassemble the phone, since you can get to EDL mode by (with the phone off and the USB cable connected to the PC) holding both volume buttons and inserting the USB-C cable to the phone.
I did read your guide, was, hoping to avoid dismantling it...
I tried pressing all 3 buttons.
Am I understanding the procedure correctly:
[phone switched off] + usb-C cable connected to PC only
MiFlash running at this point??
Hold both volume keys in and in insert Cable to Phone
at this point is the phone supposed to switch on?
At no point am I supposed to press the power button?
fyi: I will try different combinations, is great to have a solution, thank you.
Ah.... ok... so, the phone will display nothing, rely on the sound of PC and/or the device manager check and/or hit refresh on miflash
Fyi to anyone, if you have axon7toolkit installed and thus can't install a second version of MiFlash, open up the toolkit and hit 7 (unlock bootloader) to fire up MiFlash... or just go to C:\XiaoMi\XiaoMiFlash
the FULL_EDL file I have produces a couldn't find script Error when loading into MiFlash
so far when attempting to flash all zips
I have started MiFlash with admin
unzipped FULL_EDL file to a folder in root C:\ and ensured there are no spaces in address.
Every time / Every file produces couldn't find script error when loaded into MiFlash
when I attempt to flash the file it says cannot receive hello packet and then times out with an error
Tried disabling anti-virus/firewall, still same error
upgraded MiFlash to 2017.4.24.0 ( older 2016 is included with axon7toolkit), this removes the couldn't find script error, but still not receiving a hello packet, gunna fiddle with the phone as I'm pretty sure the error is coming from there
YES!
rebooted phone, turned off, restarted into EDL, flashed the stock rom from zte site... is in chinese... but it works. Thank you Thank you
so adventure over, after all that I am back to 6.0.1...

I got it from here: http://www.ztedevice.com/support
selected:- United Kingdom > Mobile Phone > Axon 7
it offers a file "AXON 7(ZTE A2017G) SD card software package(328540B2634ZTE A2017GV1.0.0B11)"
which hints at being compatible with A2017G... but is A2017V and is chinese, although you can change the language in settings there is still plenty here and there, plus chinese bloatware
and No, I didn't get cell signal.
I've gone back to Marshmellow, I will try again, didn't think it would be so different/difficult... Although wow at MiFlash.
FFS!!!! Relocked bootloader and bricked it!!! there should be a warning!
you gotta laugh,
I am a bit livid, I know the guides come with disclaimers, however, you'd think it would be an obvious important warning to make... DO NOT RELOCK YOUR PHONE.

... after I finally got it working again (thanks for the assist), I thought relocking it was just making it secure again. I been rooting/unrooting and swapping out roms since the galaxy s2, who'd think you can't unlock and relock... I do think there should be warnings as it is too easy a mistake to make... lmao stop doing dumb stuff you start first
My phone is insured so I'm not overly fussed, but others will be less fortunate.

Mistake,whit adb tools...
Hello everybody,
First off, I hate people who don't search on google before making a post, I have been searching for 4 days and I feel that it's appropriate to ask now.
I will make 2 parts to this thread, one will be a very fast explanation of what I did and the second part will be the same but a very thorough with a step by step process of what I messed up...
TL;DR: I was tired, late in the evening I flashed for some reason a Partition table of a Mi Note 3 on my Mi A1... I am now bricked and cannot access anything, fastboot, ADB, recovery nothing! I guess my phone is in EDL mode cause when I plug it in it flashes its led. "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" Is what I see in my device manager.
What do? oh, I forgot! I cannot access anything through any combination of buttons. I am stuck here, where I am!
The full thorough explanation for people who are bothered to read fully. (Includes my excuses for making noob mistakes, might be fun to read idk.)
Young me on a Sunday evening decides to reinstall magisk but this time with twrp cause I did it without twrp (yeah yeah I know). I was left without OTA's and after uninstalling anything that had something to do with Xposed or magisk I trashed it all. and stupid me thought that maybe? maybe? just maybe deleting Dalvik Cache would help me get my OTA's back after injecting my original ROM. This is where the fun begins.
I was not wanting to go through reinstalling magisk and all that to wipe the Dalvik Cache, I thought that that was my mission now, so I decided to search for methods that don't require root or being in the system, so some kind of fastboot or ADB command or something idk. I tried installing twrp and without my understanding that failed miserably and then I read some post where someone said that they flashed a mi note 3 partition table on their phone and something worked. Being the naïve little boii that I am, let's do that hey? Bam! bricked! I read somewhere I can open the phone and remove the battery and not having the tools is a mess, having to ask friends for some and voiding my warranty for something that probably won't work and after reading I understood that I'm in "EDL 9008 recovery" or something like that. I cannot boot into anything, I only have EDL 9008 to work with. I tried using Xiaomi's flasher tool and it would never respond to the initial hello packet (duuhh! I can't use ADB nor fastboot).
I know that this was stupid, I know! I learnt my lesson. If there is nothing we can do can I at least somehow get my internal storage data back? I deleted the backups from google drive for a short amount of time but randomly 5hrs prior to this sad story. All I have safe are now my contacts.
I hope you guys have some ideas! I feel like I'm fked but maybe with EDL 9008, there is a little glimmer of light?
P.S. If you guys somehow get me into fastboot I can flash a correct partition table back. My PC has all drivers so I can do this!
Sincerely, Micheal.
There is a way although i did tried it yet.
First of all sorry for my English.
Download latest MiFlash tool and qualcomm driver, this package contain both but not latest MiFlash so you should download lastest version from official site.
https://www.fshare.vn/file/H3R8M6OMRP2R
Download lastest stock rom.
You will need a good USB type C cable, dont use the one come with phone because you dont want to cut it in half.
Yes, that exactly what i said. Cut it in half, there are 4 small wire (or maybe 5 with type C?), remove it outer plastic and reconnect them.
Join the green and black cable, like you short circuit them, then plug your phone into PC with that cable without release green and black, wait for 5 sec then seperate them, the green and black.
Check device manager on your PC, you should hear device connect sound and qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader show up under Ports.
Open MiFlash and try to flash it.
You may want to check this video, although it in Vietnamese but you should understand the usb cable part.

Hi, interesting situation. What about following this guide: http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html ?
Its for some other phone, but try instaliing some drivers and you may get some signal of life.
Very interesting
I have thought about doing this as I had an old type-c lying around that came with the phone (I use a beautiful cable I bought off amazon) and saw this method to flash but never tried it..
I'll give it a go thanks.
btw. Your English is good I understood everything
The second comment from TrueMS:
I already have all drivers installed and in the long post I said that I have a flashing led that indicates that i'm in EDL 9008, the phone isn't dead but it won't turn on with any driver

Yes, thats what I meant. Well, I dont know how to help you, wish you luck. I remember how I flashed wrong ROM for my S3 Mini and it was completly trashed, I'm glad that Xiaomi gives us at least some signs of life and hope.
And btw. I would rather charge the phone somehow - I hope it charges even in EDL mode, because if your phone dies while flashing with MiFlash, things can be even worse.
EDIT: I also found this guide, you can try it out: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-unbrick-via-external-sdcard-qfil-t3748946
Okay so now a major reply!
I have stated in the OP that I am already in EDL, there is no need for cutting the cable or installing any driver, I am in EDL 9008 I don't need to "try to get there" as i'm already there.
These guides failed miserably as I have already tried them, my phone "doesn't receive a hello packet" from my phone, as I can't use adb or fastboot, or recovery.
I'll download linux and give that usb method a go then

Wish you luck:
Something that is never mentioned is to disable driver enforcement, this time hello packet was successfully recieved and flashed... Hold your happiness, cause now EDL no longer works so I can't see it in any com port and i'm certainly still in edl cause of the flashing led. Only difference I see is that now the led flashes when I hold the power button??? hmmmmmmm
To clarify:
Can't boot
Device was flashed successfully
Com port on pc can no longer see phone even after reboot
adb still don't work (proves again i'm in edl)
I'm in an even stickier situation now, can't access with my pc hmmmm..

So did you flash official stock ROM? Because I dont understand why doesnt it work... btw. when you flashed the ROM, did you lock bootloader?
Cant be battery dead?
If you are on "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" you will be able to flash stock fastboot firmware. Flash it using MiflashTool. Normally Miflashtool will recognized it as COMXX, where XX is the number of the port.
It's the official rom for the march ota.
The phone works, apparently it was encrypting everything... and now as I interrupted it, the encrypting failed and I lost all my data.....
Phone works but could have been better.
Before I reset the phone to factory, as i cannot use it yet, is there any way to get anything personal back? or is it gone gone and just factory reset?
What I see after boot, the phone resets every minute

Good job mate, so that SD card method worked with Linux? Be happy that your phone is alive.
EDIT: Maybe consider locking bootloader? Try it if youre on official stock.
EDIT 2: By flashing that ROM I guess you lost all data, but you can try to boot in TWRP without installing it and browse in file manager to see, if there is any data.

No... I was going to do that tomorrow but I decided to disable driver signature enforcement which worked. This should be written everywhere if it's this important..
Is there still a way to get my internal data back? Question as well, in recovery "mounting" the data partition will that let me get everything back "mounting" the drive to the pc? or do i not understand what mounting is.

As I said, you can try it, but when I flashed my Nougat stock ROM, i lost all the data. Or you can boot into TWRP and connect with USB to your computer to see the data in phone.
Good that your phone is working now, as for the data, i once forgot to remove encrypt before flash custom rom, but when enter TWRP it will ask for old password to decrypt. Just enter your old pass then connect to PC, or use TWRP file explorer to copy your data to sdcard

None of the passwords I used worked.. I just factory reset it, thanks alot everybody. And now I will be more careful, don't flash anything weird. And backup!
I understood why I can't get the data back, if android fails at the encryption it jsut deletes everything!
My fone also in 9008 please can you guide me
I did the same what you have and it's on 9008 my flashing is successful but still my fone is not opening help me

i am in Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 but i can't flash, it doesn't matter if the phone is on fastboot mode or turned off (i can't even turn it on)
Good evening! I hope you can help me.
I flashed LineageOS 14.1, but I wanted to go back to EMUI. I made all the wipes and tried to flash different stock firmwares through a forced update (volume buttons + power button), but it never worked. At that point, I read about a guy in this forum who suggested to create a flashable zip with Huawei Update Extractor: I followed the suggestion and tried to flash it with TWRP. No error was given, but when I tried to restart, TWRP told me I had no OS installed. I thought it was strange, so I tried to restart anyway. That's when I got in rescue mode. I can't get into the recovery and I can't use fastboot. What rescue mode shows me is:
RESCUE MODE
Attention!
Please update system again
Update User Guide:
*link*
*android avatar*
Error!
Func NO: 10 (boot image)
Error NO: 2 (load failed!)
Pressing the three buttons, I'm able to force an update. The problem is I can't find a firmware that doesn't get rejected. With Lollipop firmwares, it starts to install, but it fails at 12%. With Marshmallow ones, the installation process doesn't even start.
What can I do to make it work again? I'm very sad because this phone was gifted to me a couple of days ago and I already messed it up. I don't even know how to turn it off.
What can I do to get in fastboot mode? At that point, what should I do to flash the stock firmware? Or maybe do I need to find the first stock firmware ever installed into this phone to make the forced update work?
Please, I need help. Thank you in advance!
P.S. The phone's model is ALE-L21. I live in Italy, so I assume it's a European version.
Did you managed to fix this?

Not yet, but I'm working on it. I found out that the device is recognized by my PC if I follow these steps:
1. Connect the phone to the PC and wait for it to go in rescue mode;
2. Wait until the notification LED stops to blink;
3. Disconnect the USB cable;
4. Press volume - and power button;
5. Reconnect the cable.
At that point, the screen turns black and the phone is recognized as "㌲㔴㜶㤸". I installed the drivers and now it's recognized as "HUAWEI USB COM 1.0". I should be able to reflash the partitions and make my phone work again, but I'm still trying to understand how to do it correctly.
Any help is appreciated!

fastboot detects your device when you plug it into your computer?
I mean, if you run "fastboot devices" it shows your phone?
I've had this same problem but with an P8 Lite 2017, after flashing some ROM that supposedly was the stock one and trying to flash recovery I ended up with my phone bootlooping into rescue mode, I was able to "bypass" this thing rebooting my phone like crazy, seriously like after 20 reboot it finally booted into the damn ROM and I never touched the phone again. Sometimes when the phone ran out of battery and tried to power it on the phone booted into rescue mode and again after some reboots it booted to Android but now I want to install a custom ROM or at the very least root this damn phone so that's why I'm asking you if you have solved this, if you do then probably if I follow the same steps I would be able to fix that screen, hopefully.
If you are able to flash something start with flashing all recoveries your update.app has, maybe that's the problem (at least in my phone it is).

No, it doesn't show anything if I write that command...
I guess mine won't ever boot into the rom because it seems like there's no system installed. I made some researches and found out there are some softwares that let you reflash the partitions IF the phone is recognized as "HUAWEI USB COM 1.0". I'm still trying to figure out how to do it correctly though. I feel like if I do something wrong, then my phone won't probably turn on again.
In your case, you should be able to flash a custom rom without any issue. You just have to be very careful and inform you as much as you can: I don't want your phone to end up like mine?. Anyway, it seems pretty hard to go back to the stock rom, so think about it before you flash a custom rom. Also, make a Nandroid Backup is very important.
