[Q] Help Dudes

Ok . I have a galaxy s4 i9500. i installed a stock rom from russia and im having some issues. ill install another stock from vietnam but u could help me fix this one.
1. Notification Panel
some icons are missing like air gesture and some others.
I tried this: I got Sql Lite Editor -> Opened it -> clicked on settings Storage -> clicked on settings.db and then it showed me an error like this: An error occurred while opening the database. Unable to open the database file (code 14) while compiling SELECT * FROM sqllite_master WHERE type in('table', 'view') ORDER BY name
PLZ help
2. Lock screen
there is not life companion written in lock screen. So i would appreaciate if u help me fix these even though i dont think this last one is a problem

When i installed the stock ROM i did all the wiping proccesses from CWM and then installed it by ODIN. Since then i ve done nothing.

Sm-c115l work as sm-c115 world

It may some of us need to have K zoom SM-C115 world on the Zoom 2 SM-C115L, then please followings:
1. Flash by ODIN system file from the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwmQ3F48xaJjaHV1VV9xRmVwTFU/view?usp=sharing
2. Phone will auto reboot.
Everything is OK, except Wifi lost password after every restart, so you could:
3. Flash by ODIN TWRP recovery (including Supersu installer) from the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwmQ3F48xaJjMWdXVWJUUDZrX0k/view?usp=sharing --> auto restart phone --> connect to internet to install Supersu --> restart --> ROOTED.
4. Copy “build.prop” from the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwmQ3F48xaJjVHhxdFd6MkpCOVE/view?usp=sharing --> Replace the existing one in …/system/ (set permission for the new “build.prop”)
5. Boot into recovery (press volume + and home and power button) --> wipe phone --> restart the phone.
YOU ARE DONE, YOUR PHONE BECOME SAMSUNG K ZOOM SM-C115

The wifi password lost after every restart, then you have to root your device to replace new build.prop for the existing one --> everything is ok!

hmm, i was install (fleshing) this it was work but can't recive any call signal can u check that?

Thanks for the post. It saved a lot of time of mine. But I think there is a minor flaw in the instruction. In No.3 the does not get rooted as you described, you have to install SuperSU binary to get root access. Otherwise, everything is good.
I'm still facing one problem though. When I insert a new SIM or restart my device I can not make calls or receive SMS untill I make random switchings in Settings> More networks> Mobile networks> Network mode.
And I can't turn off Haptic Feedback. Any possible solution???

Works very well. For some reason now I cannot send text message. I can receive text message. SMS Centre number is correct. APN reset.. any suggestions?

4g working

Anyone have the firmware? I'd like to try it

huawei p8 lite theme issue

when i open Default themes app by Huawei P8 Lite (it says no themes in featured tab and all other tabs)
only already downloaded 4 themes are there.
I don't know whats wrong.
Please help me out here....

Hello,
First thing first check your internet connection. For some users it didn't work on wifi and only on data etc.
If it doesn't help -> in Settings clear cache for this app.

Still you can download themes from the xda and install them by putting @ HWthemes folder.

i have cleared the cache of Themes App, and connected to WIFI and also checked on DATA 4G.
But issue still remains.
it was easy to download themes from this app instead of Downloading and putting the theme in themes folder.
i hope some this issue can be fixed....

Can you check your Firmware region?
Go to Dialer and enter *#*#2846579 #*#* and then go to menu point 3. (Network Information Query) and then to 4. (Vendor Country Info)
For some reason your Firmware might not offer themes in your Region
If thats alright you probably have to download themes manually.

I checked it. and it says
Vendor: hw
Country: meafnaf
Themes were working fine and i was able to download the themes from Themes App.
i think i tried updating it once on Android 6.0 by downloading the update.app file from XDA forum and it gave error while installing it. then i restarted it. After that it started to give this issue.
I just tried Factory Reset but still the Vendor information stays as is. Is there any way to fully reset my phone?

thanks when i Factory Reset from *#*#2846579 #*#* menu. It worked and now i can install Themes App.

Revert back to Stock os Oreo

On moving to custom roms like pie, I faced some issue which were not in stock rom of Oreo like:-
1) My 1 tb portable drive not working ( not detected, or if detected then file system not supported)
2) Default or any other camera apps are unable to shoot video
3) Volt calling issue & no call recording ( it was not their in official Oreo too)
4) Dt2w is not smooth, some time it forgets.
And some minors probs.
Now I want to revert back to Stock Oreo.
Hopefully I made Twrp backup before upgrade process,
But now what I see when I restore from that backup, phone restores & restart and at password screen it asks me my pattern lock. On entering my pattern it refuse to accept it. I remember that I used only that pattern from the date of purchase, what should I do now?
Its a long story but,
Pls someone help me.

You are supposed to remove any pattern or password before making a backup.
Go to the file manager in twrp and navigate to /data/system and delete
password.key
pattern.key
locksettings.db
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db-wal
whatever is present for you, now just restart you will have no password.

Not able to shoot video by any camera app.

Flash dolby atmos zip by twrp, this solve most of your problems.

why u people so much mad of pie pie stuff.. its fuking not properly stable version launch for any device..and using this beta thing on your mobiles..
have some patience..world is not going to end..lets officially asus allow this pie thru the updates..USE THAT ONLY..Instead of screwing your mobile and run for help.

It helped me a little toward sound quality, but no help for otg & video recording.

Try this to fix ur otg problems:
Using Root Explorer or similar app, go to /system/etc/permissions then check if "android.hardware.usb.host.xml" file is present. Then edit handheld_core_hardware.xml file, add this line:
<feature_name="android.hardware.usb.host" />
Save and exit, then Reboot phone. Or u can simply install USB Host Check application(by Taurus Labs) from Play Store(need Root) to fix otg problems.

I'm new and hoping that someone can help me here.
I have two Android devices and i know that i should use google, i used it for over 10 hours and can't find a solution...
I can show you a video or a photo of the proof of purchase, the phone has no value for me, only the files are important to me. I forgot my 4 to 6 digit pin on my second device, because i only used it two times per month. USB debugging and mobile data are turned off. Is there a way to bypass the pin or save the data?
DrFone has not listed my device. Have already tried in the recovery menu, the device to "mount". So I can enable automatic USB debugging. Developer option is I think off and the current Android version is probably 6.0.1. However, did not work, it came an error message
"failed to open dev block/bootdevice by name misc no such file or directory".
I'm not sure about this solution, but do you think that this will working for my problem ?
