Well perhaps you could install TWRP and use its built in MTP function to get files trough pc... But I'm not sure if you need to check OEM Unlock..

Hi there!
There is a tool which let you control a device with broken screen.
Perhaps it will help you?
[Tool][Windows] Control a device with a broken screen. Now with touchscreen support!

Not sure this is in the right forum since it's really a general WM question, but anyway...
I want to be able to view my today screen since it contains all my appointments etc even when the screen is locked.
I guess a transparent screen lock would solve the problem, but I havent found one yet.
Is there one?
Another solution would be something that kept the screen locked until I press the power button. Then it would be easy to unlock but still locked when it's not in use so I dont make calls etc without knowing it.
try s2u2 http://www.xda-developers.com/windows-mobile/s2u2-new-version-v2-30/ it will show your information on the lock screen

That's not good enough. I have everything specified just as I want it in my today screen and to find a custom lock screen that matches that is impossible to find. A transparent lock screen or a lock screen that gets unlocked automatically when I press the power button would solve it perfectly.
use the old (standart)lockscreen. like wm6.1
it is your homescreen with a unlock softbutton.
(i use wm6.1 and now i don't know why everybody is needing blown up lockscreens, when the old one was best )

How do I get the old style? If I show the lock object on the today screen it will still show the new 6.5 lock screen when I lock the phone.
i do not know how to get it back , but i know that it is possible.
i hope someone can show you the way.

Seems to work, thanks. Still interested in other soultions, but this will probably be fine otherwise.
or install Cookie Home Tab
it has customizable lockscreens, emphasis on multiple kinds of locks.
each has the ability to move the parts around like CHT always does. and you can make it fit your every need !

Does that requier HTC Sense? I'm using a clean rom without any HTC software, since I want to use the old today screen. This is very important since I use TodayAgenda.
Hi guys long time reader but this is my first post, this is a long shot but basically I have broken my Galaxy note 3 screen so it can no longer display anything or use the touchscreen, I have gotten a new phone now but I have important information saved in the 'Action memo' and was wondering if there is anyway I can extract or export that information without the use of the phone screen.
Thanks in advance
Hello everyone, couldn't find the answer anywhere so here I am - when I go to my lock screen it automatically does this weird zoom-out for a split second and then stays still.
I'm new to the J5 and can't figure out how to make that stop, is it possible? If so - how?
Cheers!

This is just a touchwiz animation effect. Unfortunetely it can not be disabled.

On Lollipop you can turn it off changing lock screen option to dragging, then choose the first unlock effect (colours something like that). Then change again your lock screen method and use the one you like. In android 6.0 I think you can't chage it.

Yea it just updated to 6.0.1 so guess I'm stuck, if anyone got a solution I'd love to hear it even though it's no big deal.
Hi folks,
One of the first things I set up on my 6T was the lock screen message, such that if someone found my phone, they could call a number or email me to help return it. I'm an optimist, eh?
But I just noticed the message doesn't show after a reboot, before the first unlocking of the device following the reboot.
Is there some way to force it to show the message? It's silly if someone finds it but it has powered off meanwhile, that the contact info won't show.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Before unlocking the data is encrypted and therefore inaccessible.
I don't think you can make that work as you want to.
Rather than fussing intensely on this, I could always put my info on a slip of paper taped to the back of the phone, covered by the Karbon case, easily found on inspection by a phone-finder...

If you're handy with photo editing software, you can add the text that you want to display onto an image and set that as you lock screen wallpaper. It'll be behind the shade of the lock screen so not necessarily as clear as the other text, but would still be visible. And you would want to place the text so that it won't be covered by the clock on the regular lock screen.
Unless if you're living in japan, then i think the chances of someone returning it would be 0

thanks for this. I've actually done this on my son's iPhone years ago when they didn't have a lock screen message function that I could find. So it's a good idea to see again. I will look into it and figure out something!
