They are similar models with similar hardware
the only deference is that t237 has infrared and t235 don't.

Are the ports and buttons in the same place? Im looking for a case with keyboard and I cant find any that say they fit the T237. Wanted to use the T235 case.

I wouldn't do it. Don't be so certain the hw is the same. Recovery and roots for 237 do not work on the 235. have not tried visa versa.
235 has a Marvell board and processor/SoC.
I don't think you can flash a 235 factory rom under any circumstances.
Variables:
If the 237 has a marvell board/SoC instead of a QUALCOMM snapdragon, you might be able to flash a custom rom for the 235 whenever one becomes available. There's none out there yet.
ROOT for the 235 just became available so roms may be around the corner.
The hw could be the same, however the partitions may be different.
You might try as a test to flash the unlocked 235 recovery on to your sprint 237. I can't promise you won't brick your 237, but I don't think that will happen. I'm not buying you a replacement 237 if it does..
Worst case I can see is the recovery flash fails and so you go ahead and reflash the factory recovery from the 237 stock rom.
Best case the recovery flashes and works. In this case, then you'd have an idea that flashing the entire 235 ROM might also work.
How did you root your T237?

I was wondering if you could tell me how you rooted your T237 and walk me through the steps or point me to the site with directions? I rooted my S5 G900P and love all the advantages. Now I try to get everyone to root and put custom Roms on there phones, it's amazing what you can do.

I can testify this method worked for me on my brand new Sprint Tab 4 7.0 SM-T237P.
I have been unable to find any ROMS for it, and im kinda bummed out about it. I'm considering taking the tab back as I really enjoy a custom ROM, but I a not sure I can find any other tablet with cellular that is supported by any of the local carriers.

There's now a way to get the factory recovery (3e) restored to the device without losing root.
That's detailed further on in the same T237P root thread.
Question:
Do you have Sprint cellular voice calling on your T237P without using a Bluetooth connection with your phone?

Sprint doesnt offer it with voice plan. I did however drop my mobile plan, took the free tablet and ported my mobile number to google voice. I now use my tablet with google hangouts and my primary telephone, it works TERRIFIC! I have WIFI availably 95% of the time and I am getting away with a $20 per month 1gb data plan.

My Tab 4 T237 has a sim card
I just took the plunge and tried flashing a T235 recovery, this one to be precise: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/sm-t235-lte-rooted-twrp-2-8-alpha1-sm-t3027059
Good news: it didn't brick my device.
Bad news: it didn't work, either. Just forced me into download mode, and once I used Odin to flash the t237p philz, it worked fine again. Will continue to test and update.
---------- Post added at 11:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:26 PM ----------
Just tried two more versions of TWRP. Same result. Sadly, I'm fairly certain that mine has a Qualcomm SoC, and therefore using a t235 anything will never work.
Maybe I should teach myself to make a rom.

Let us know if any 235 roms work on our 237
Hey folks,
Any other (not T235 only) ROM worked for T237? This crap is driving me crazy! I'm thinking loading T335 ROM onto T237 as I believe it is on Qualcomm as well.
This is a new Root method I made using @g.lewarne @mikeyinid for the Custom Kernel
---------------------------------------------------------
-----------Galaxy S6 Root (Most Variants)----------
(G920S/K/L/W8/T)
Trips Knox
Disclamer I am not responsible for any damages.
Processed at your own risk!
Must have Oem Unlocked enabled in developer settings!
----------------------------------------------------
Step 1- Extract this .ZIP
Step 2- Make Sure all drivers are installed
Step 3- Open Odin3_v3.10.6 as Admin
Step 4- Select AP/Bootloader and locate the file
named S6-UniKernel_v2-0002-ODIN.tar
<Once rebooted you should see a red text "Kernel is
not Seandroid inforcing" ignore it you should see
Super User installed, Transfer the TWRP Manager.apk>
Step 5- Install TWRP Manager.apk, ignore SD card fix
pop-up and a pop should be of BusyBox is required
download it and install it from the Play Store
Step 6- Go to the TWRP app and click on the three bar
menu icon and select Install Twrp, scroll down for
"Samsung Galaxy S6"
Step 7- Select "Recovery Version to Install"
select the version you want and once its finsihed
downloading/installing it will say "do you want
to reboot to recovery" or something like that then
you should be in TWRP
Step 8- Enjoy Flashing roms

I don't know, I think it wouldn't cause it has a looked bootloader, under development options in settings do you see Oem Unlocking? Sprint, At&t and verzion typically look their bootloader, I'll give you an answer in a couple of minutes.

No, this unfortunately only works on models G920S/K/L/W8/T

And you are sharing g.lewarne's file only (in fact newer version 0003 is available now)... sure, you have continued to write a guide on how to get TWRP. Is that what you added? If you need it working immediately, you'll need to take it to the Sprint store. I only flashed it because I have a spare phone to use while I mess around with it.

Why does odin fail now??
The moderators have been very good at providing us ROMs but it seems as if the T-Mobile Note Edge development is slowing down. I did some digging and found we are able to use the M6 ROM from Dr. Keton from the Note 4 Snapdragon (maybe others as well). Dr. Keton has put out a very nice ROM based off of the S7 Edge, Note 5 and has the fully functional theme store provided.
T-Mobile Note Edge (May work for others)
*Must first be on full stock PE3 (Marshmallow) & recovery (I went with TWRP 3.0)
1) Wipe Data, Dalvik, Cache x3, then REBOOT RECOVERY!!
2) Flash M6 ROM (N910G MM)
3) Flash 910T-MM_DataFixs7rebootmenu
4) Flash BeastModeKernel-1.0BETA-N915P-MM-RAGE
*Can also flash BeastModeKernel-2BETA-MM
5) Reboot (First boot will take 10-15mins)
6) Once booted, don't touch phone for 5 mins!
7) Apply Essential fix (will auto pop-up at setup screen & GRANT superuser request)
8) Profit!

I take no credit for this ROM, kernel or data fix. I'm simply spreading the love! Boom!
Spose I'll go ahead and ask it, what's this ROM do with the edge panel? Does it just extend the screen onto it, or does it use Edge Panel apps?

And I'm guessing this can be used on sprint variant too if the kernel is for our variant

I did! I fixed it... Erh... Here's hoping I can recall what I did to fix it...
The culprit was the kernel, I believe.
I thiiink I used BeastModeKernel-2BETA-MM.zip googlit and it you'll find it right off the bat
Oh! and the data fix N910V_6.0.1_BootLoader_MM_Datafix.zip
Start new, flash the ROM, kernel, and data fix in that order then do the forever-and-a-year boot and wait for Katan's tools to do their thing and when it's all done you should have 4G. I did so much messing around trying to get this to work (while intoxicated), and just got it working about an hour ago. Seems I either had no sms and working play store, or no play store and working sms. But I got it working now. Now I'm trying to get advanced calling to work, it showed up briefly in the settings, but that was when my play store wasn't working and I haven't seen it since.

Fixes
1. Found you will need screen mirroring fix:
wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable
Then you must disable: android.app.wfdbroker via Titanium Backup
2. Open phone dialer and click "More" then click "Settings" then turn off "Voice over LTE Preferred". This will fix call issues.

If you have TWRP installed, FORMAT DATA x3, WIPE EVERYTHING BUT SD CARD x3 then Odin latest 6.0 MM firmware without an External SD Card inserted. Odin TWRP 3.0, wipe data, Dalvik, cache only x3, then reboot recovery. Follow the rest of the steps but use 915F/910F MM data fix-->Might have to Google it.
Ok i will tried it one more time when i am at home. Thank you.
I think with the same procedure i can flash other Custom Roms too?
And why must i format data x3 and cache x3 and sd card x3? x3 means three times?
And why must i take out the external sd card?

Yeah, I don't believe that there is such a thing as S7 Edge Plus.
On an unrelated note, what rom are you using galaxyuser88? I don't recognize it from your signature.
@OP
There is no custom recovery. No TWRP. No custom kernels either. We install roms via Flashfire... of which... there is only one (so far) to flash.
No. You cannot install roms from other carriers (unless they are intended to be universal) or for other S7 devices.
No. There hasn't been any progress on changing any of the aforementioned.
Yes. All of this can be found here in the forum if you're willing to search and read.

Agreed, but right now i am having an issue with sys.ui . Iam trying to get it working without any sys.ui fc, i hate posting anything with those type of problems due to the fact that many user on here do nothing but complain about fc even if you tell them that doing this or that will cause an fc and not to do it. We went thru this on the note 7 rom we started to work on.

Iam trying to get it working without any sys.ui fc, i hate posting anything with those type of problems due to the fact that many user on here do nothing but complain about fc even if you tell them that doing this or that will cause an fc and not to do it. We went thru this on the note 7 rom we started to work on.

100% agreement with you there!
And if you don't have much free time to work on it, it'll be too stressful to provide support for.
Maybe it would get posers to learn how to be ACTUAL power users, and fix stuff themselves.... Good learning tool!

Yeah that would be nice. But Some XDA user have gotten to the point that they want everything to work. Otherwise they complain and the most common response you get it. "Why is the dev posting something that is not working 100 %." , " Why doesn't this rom have this or that" or my favorite " I need this or that app in this rom to work. ( this is more towards being rooted and needing to have sammy pay or android pay working) ".
Hey guys.
I'm experiencing lot of bugs on my Galaxy S7 edge dual sim.
Some applications does not work, for example S Health, Samsung Pay.
I'm also experiencing problems, wherr I can't use SIM 2 for Mobile data. After setting it up, mobile data sometimes doesn't work.
Also few functions on side panel does not work properly.
Check screenshot in attachments, there are software informations.
Do I have official ROM ?
Or what can be problem? Is TouchWiz (or Samsung experience) so unstable? Or is it just my unique case?
Thanks for any help.
Download the app Phone Info and post some screens here..

With my old S5 I did.
I bought this S7 edge from second hand, so I don't know what he did with the phone. He didn't tell me anything about installing custom ROM or something.
What should I do now?

Thank you. So all I have to do is install the newest firmware via odin, right ?:fingers-crossed:
/And one more question. Model SM-G935FD does not have Firmware for my country. I know it is designed for Southeast Asia and India, but .. May it cause any problems for me ? Like worse GPS locking or something. I dont think so, just want to make sure
The rom you have on the phone is for the G935F or Not G935FD version.
try installing an dual rom version instead of single rom version that may solve your problem. The G935F version will work but some apps may not work properly.
So I checked everything (BL,AP,CP,CSC) but UMS and started instalation.
/everything looks good, but I will let you know later after some using

That isn´t true my friend. I had ROM for my dual sim version (G935FD), but it was marshmallow ROM. I don´t know how it´s possible, when It was showing Android 7.0. in software informations.
//edit
Everything works now !
