Hi every one,
With my N900, i always had a problem with Stock ROM (5.0) (Many versions tested) if i use H+, the battery drains so fast with "Android OS".
When i use Wifi, the battery is good with good SOT too.
Do you know how can i fix this?
Thanks.

Hi experts,
I have a HD2, running HyperDroid CM7 v3.0.1 (based on Android 2.3.5). I MUST have 3G/2G always on, as I receive push notifications from WhatsApp, CNN, WordsWithFriends, etc. Also, I have disabled all background automatic syncing for all my apps (confirmed by 3G Watchdog Pro). I am a medium-heavy HD2 user.
Currently, my standby battery drain is 11-15 mA (measured by Battery Monitor Widget). The original battery does'nt last me a day.
I had installed JuiceDefender for a week ... but, it showed no improvement in battery life (with customised settings, to take into account my above requirements). I uninstalled it yesterday.
Can I improve my battery life under these circumstances ? I need my battery to last about 3-4 hours more ... so, that I can charge it just once a day every evening. I don't want the extended battery with the ugly hump.
I had searched the forum ... but, could'nt find an answer for my situation.
Thanx in advance.
cheers,
- manish
Try a different kernel and/or reduce your cpu speed and governor (conservative) in cm7 settings.
My experience with the rom you use is that the (modified) kernel which is included drains a lot of battery..
Good luck.
11-15 mA is pretty high. Have you tried setting your phone to connect only on 2G? A big factor in battery life is also your signal strength. Do you get good signal everywhere you go?
If battery doesn't improve by setting it to 2G only mode and you do have good signal try another ROM. I recommend NexusHD2-Gingerbread V3.0

I need 3G for faster loads while working on my HD2. Signal strength is excellent ... alll bars.
Looks like, HyperDroid 3.1.0 is around the corner with the original kernel (as mentioned in one of the posts by a HyperDroid member). I will wait for a few days for the new version .... otherwise, I will check out NexusHD2.

Hi there,
I got an SGS2 GT-I9100 recently and I am still trying to tweak it to suit my needs.
I'd like to ask the people living in China about their stats and configuration since it seems many issues are usually location/carrier related.
My biggest problem so far is battery drain. I have noticed that whenever wifi is on, my battery goes down by around 1% every 15 minutes or so with phone in standby. When wifi is off I can lose about 1-2% every hour.
I mean, after seeing lt_ler battery stats even with stock FW, having wifi on (night usage), I think there must be something wrong with my settings or phone.
BetterBatteryStats reports no important wakelocks. CPUSpy reads what it seem to be normal Deep Sleep time.
I think it might have something to do with the wifi router. Mine is the one from China Unicom (中国联通) ZXV10 H108B (v. 2.0.0 BJ).
My phone carrier is China Mobile(中国移动).
I am using Frankenstein KK5 firmware with Siyah 2.4.2. I will be trying uninstalling different apps and then changing kernel, modem or whatever I can think of if it doesn't work.
I also get a high percentage of "Cell standby" battery use in the stock battery usage monitor, reporting "100% time without signal", although I have signal all the time at 4 bars and have no trouble making or receiving calls/sms. I think this wasn't happening before installing Siyah.
So please, people, share your thoughts, stats, settings and ideas. It'll be much appreciated. Also, if some better Chinese reader than me can find some thread/post somewhere about this on some Chinese website, like gfan, please let me know and I'll try and decipher it myself. I just can't find it...
PS: I'll try to add some screenshots later.
hi bro,
im leaving in Suzhou China area and using china mobile service also.
i dont encountered the problem as u describe above.
im running MIUI galnet ICS version with Siyah 2.5.1GT. baseband XXKI4.
on single charge (using extended 2000mah here), can last me up to 2.5-3 days using my previous roaming malaysian SIM card (no data). refer to picture.
using china mobile simcard, yield nearly similar result. again with data-off.
i dont use any special configuration js default conf from MIUI's rom.
have u tried different ROM?
Thanks, mate. I might give MIUI a try, since it is Chinese after all, I just wanted to stay close to stock for now.
Do you use wifi?
no prob !
yeah did use wifi in hotel. but only ON when wanna use. if not i turn it off.
at night also i turned it off.
yeah, u should give MIUI a shot. pretty nice and neat. since used it dont wanna use standard TW's rom anymore. hehe
but prepare to have few disadvantage as below:
1. degrade camera quality
2. no HDMI out, TV out not sure
3. some kernel might give unsmooth experience when watching 1080p video
I'm afraid the problem here has to do with wifi. Because as I said, when turned off at night I get a reasonable performance. But during the day, when it is on because I need to have mail pushed, the battery fades quickly...
I'm in Beijing and have no issues with battery life on China Mobile. I always keep the device on with data, gps, wifi etc. Most of my usage at the hotel is via wifi and when I'm out is on edge. Can generally get 25-30 hours on a single charge. I'm using stock KK5 with siyah kernel v2.4.2 with KL1 modem.
Should close wifi and background data.U can enable them once per 30 min or an hour.Continuous usage on wifi, especially background data can cause u great battery drainage.
For me,if i close wifi and background data,it only drops 1 or 2 percent an hour, but it drops drastically if they are on.Sometimes 20 percent in one hour. It's just a Galaxy S2 issue.Try to flash different roms and kernels to have better battery life.
I am currently in china using china mobile.
I have Aurora ICS 2.04 installed on my U8800, and it eats battery very fast. I have been using Aurora on my phone since version 1.6 and the problem wont go away. In standby mode with data turned off, it lasts nearly one day. When i unplug the charger, battery drops instantly to 90%. When using GPS, it wouldn't last even 2 hours With normal usage, data on and music playing, it lasts few hours. I tried to clean the data and cache and reinstalled ROM several times but didn't help.
I really want to use ICS but with that battery life, it's impossible to use the phone without charging it like 2 times per day
ot: sorry for my bad English
Did you check in settings -> battery what are the highest consumers? I had problems when staying in remote areas where the signal is very poor, the phone then tries to compensate for low signal and uses more power for antenna. Do some search on the forum, there can be hundreds of reasons for high battery consumption. If you find the problem then post it here and we will try to help.
i have problems there aswell, gps eats the power realy fast, and if i use the fbook app on mobile network then it goes down realy fast. So i use fbook in my browser to save some there.
But the latest version and kernel helped for me atleast. Now i can use it a whole day at wrk untill i get back home

I Have the same problem..In 1 hour with GPS ON, BATTERY IS OFF..
Try the lastest aurora version.
Batery is good here, but of course depends on usage.
GPS, wireless and data usage always one will drain your battery in any rom you use...
Is there any app that closes starting apks?
For example, I don't use gmail all the time but it starts with rom, and when i close it with some others, battery drains slower

Use titanium backup for example to freeze it. You can add a widget on homescreen to desfrost it when you need to use it

calibrate battery
Hi everyone,
Today I've noticed, after installing cm10.1, that my battery life hasn't improved at all compared to color rom. While other Oppo find 5 users say the battery life changes for the good.
The problem is that my device says that it doesn't have signal or an unknown signal. While today, I had 3 full bars of connection the whole time. Also in betterbatterystats the apps says my phone was awake for 5+ hours, while the cm10.1 battery app says my phone was barely awake.
Ofcourse I've got screenshots to show you what I exactly mean.
If you guys need more information on this, please ask me and I'll post it as soon as I can.
I really want to know what's up with my battery drainage, cus just 3 hours of screentime(just 2g or wi-fi) is by far not enough for me.
Thanks in advance!

If you want to use to CM roms there are a few things to check.
If you are coming from a 4.2.2 ColorRom you need to flash the 4.1 modem for AOSP roms, the 4.2 modem doesn't work.
The modem can be found here (thanks to anders3408): http://d-h.st/BEg
CM10.1 is using a kernel that is not that great compared to other AOSP roms but you can still increase battery life by changing the cpu governor to 'Conservative'. To get access to the performance settings go to 'Settings' --> 'ABout Phone' and tab 'Build Number' repeatedly. The performance sttings will now be visible in the settings menu.
Better IMO would be to use a newer AOSP rom with new kernel. I would suggest to try out the following roms, all of them should offer better battery life:

Why do you keep your data ON if you sleep?
Wouldn't be better to turn it ON when you wake up?
Google Settings - Location - unmark access location......you dont need it when you sleep.....maybe if you practice out of body experience
Sync - also OFF, if you need it ON for sync Email or Gmail, better use Maildroid or Aqua
On stock c3, unrooted (I did root to remove bloatware and ads) I lose about 2-3% during the night (sync, 3g OFF)
After battery calibration let it settle down it take 3 to 4 charging cycles

SOLVED
Solved the battery drain issue.
It was due to xposed frameworl.
I was using 3-4 modules like wanam xposed , app per dpi, bootmanager
When i uninstalled it;, now my battery is much much much better than earlier
But is there any alternative to app per dpi
Coz i dont like the SecPhone 's HUGE icons while CALL.
I HATE IT
Can any1 modify the Secphone.apk for 240dpi or any other please
