I've waited for a long time, nothing happens.

Mine took like 15 minutes on that logo, until it booted just fine

So originally it sat for like 10 to 15 min before I did a soft reset. After that I tried to wipe cache in recovery. Still nothing worked. Last time I left it for like 30 min to 1 hour until the battery fully drained. Any ideas on how to fix it?

[Q] Screen cant be turned off!

Hi! I purchased note 3 several yads ago, rooted it proeprly and it was all ok till several hours ago. While i was playing a game (Kunundrum, if it`s important) screen became unresponsive for several sec and became functional 3 sec after. After i closed game i couldnt turn screen off anymore! Not by screen timeout or lock key (long press still pops up turn off menu). I tried everything, uninstalled app, uninstalled all apps, unrooted phone, factory reset and the problem is still here! Can anyone help me pls?

Several Attempts Needed to Boot

Whenever I turn off my OnePlus 2 and attempt to turn it back on, the phone gets past the "powered by Android" screen. However, after that, it usually hangs on the boot animation indefinitely. To get the phone to fully boot, I need to keep turning it off and on until Android eventually starts.
What could be causing this? My OnePlus 2 is on Android 5.1.1 with OxygenOS 2.2.0. It is rooted and running the Xposed Framework and Boeffla kernel.

Probably Xposed. Boot into recovery, take backup and wipe data and cache.

I wiped just the cache and Dalvik cache, but it didn't help. It still seems to be random whether or not Android starts.

Lol, cool. But try to resolve the issue. It may happen again when we are in need. Happened to me lot of times.

No to get serious... I've got the same issue too... For a longer time now... I had done full factoryresets and everything inbetween so I'm not sure if there is a way to really fix it... But as long as it still boots I don't care [emoji23]

What caused the soft brick?

Ok, I sold my S4 i9505 (rooted and stock firmware 5.0.1) on evilbay and it was working perfectly when I sent it. 10 days after it got to the buyer they say it won't boot and want to return the phone. I'm extremely suspicious and would like to know if it is possible to find out if they have installed something they shouldn't have. A phone doesn't suddenly soft brick itself or does it?

I assume bootloop, because she said it was "constantly stuck in re-boot" . She apparently managed to get into Recovery Mode. I haven't got the phone back yet, but wanted to make sure I got all the info beforehand.

Have you done a full wipe before you give it away? Maybe wiped the system partition?

I did a full factory reset and did a quick test boot afterwards - all was ok. I may have wiped the cache partition but I'm pretty certain that that I didn't delete the system partition.
Does it has guarantee? When yes how long it left.
If you get the phone back I would flash a stock rom from sammobile with Odin, reboot and if it comes to the setup wizard you can give it her back .

Ultimately that's what I'll do, but I won't be sending it back to her. I'm already £££s out of pocket.
Honestly, I think she played about with it and messed it up. It took her 10 days to contact me. And since I booted the phone to the setup screen before I shipped it and it was working fine.
But I would like to know if it's possible to find out if and what she did and subsequently prove that

Constant vibration about every 10 seconds

So this started happening right after flashing the newest TWRP through TWRP and the newest SuperSU through recovery as well. I rebooted and then it started. No other obvious issues besides the constant notification-like vibrations. There has to be a way to fix this right? Oh, I have JasmineROM installed too, it wasn't happening until I did this though.

Which TWRP? Make sure it is the hltevzw version.
Also, try this... Boot into recovery, wipe cache and davlik, reboot. It will take a while to fully boot.. But you'll see a message about updating (it's rebuilding davlik) app X out of Xxx... This could take 10 or 15 minutes.. So make sure you have at least 50% battery or plug in to charger when you reboot.
See if the vibration goes away.

Yeah, I tried that and it was still persisting so after that I just pulled a "**** it" and reflashed everything, the rom and superSU. Lo and behold I haven't noticed it vibrating randomly anymore. My battery was dying fast because of that issue but I think that's also fixed now. Thanks anyway good sir. :victory:

What Kernel you are using?

Need an LS997 tester for my NSS5.5 ROM and kernel

Hello, I am uploading my MOD ROM and kernel for Sprint. A previous attempt failed, and I just learned that the boot.img I had received was not the actual stock Sprint ROM, so the RAMdisk did not work.
Need someone, or some people to test, so I can make an official post in the ROM section.
As always, I recommend doing a full backup in TWRP to be able to restore to if the ROM does not work.
Also, Titanium Backup is the go-to app to backup your apps (do not backup system apps, only apps that you yourself have downloaded).
Must be on the latest TWRP. Must be fully decrypted. Do a clean flash.
Here is the latest test. I believe it should be fine. Static boot will remain since you have a bootloader not made for your device.
(reuploading, old zip would not flash due to a typo)

How long are you waiting? First boot takes about 15 mins.
You still have to do whatever the static boot fix is.

I waited awhile id say atleast 30 min each time. it never gets to the point where I can shut off the screen to do the static fix. I'm in the process of trying again I will let it sit for awhile longer and see what happens.
Still couldnt get it to boot not sure why.
I locked up too. It happens just about a second into the boot animation. I can see maybe colored balls swirling and then some light text starts to fade in right in the center of the screen then it locks up. Pulled the battery and booted it up a 2nd time just in case but it also locked up and never finished. Gave it 30 minutes the first time and 15 on the second boot attempt.
