There are 2 threads in the i9505 forums that have everything you could ever want to know. One is all about Knox in general an dhow it works and what it does. (It's even a sticky, man.) The other is titles something like "Knox and warranty". I assure you it's all there.
there is no saferoot method for 4.4.2 you are out of luck
if you want to root you will trip knox

Of course it is a HUGE progress, and the root is ready for some days in General thread. And, as it causes most of attraction, it is on first page of this section.

Hi,
Please don't flame. If the other user has been rude for you, please just report him instead of starting a verbal war. Also, never speak like that again, after all XDA is not a mess because of them .
Regarding your issue, I'm sorry, but afaik the only non tripping method out there for now is towelroot, but still doesn't support your model. If I recall correctly there was another method, not sure if still works... I believe you can find it in the Galaxy s4 Help Thread OP.

Question About Samsung Pay And Root

I know that rooting causes samsung pay to quit working. My question is that if
i decide to return back to stock using odin, W/O knox tripped, will samsung pay
start working again? i checked the threads, and couldn't find a clear answer. thought
a thread about it, in itself, would help.
thanks!

Looking for advice on rooting for the first time

Hi guys,
Looking to root my s7 edge SM-G935F Exynos octa 8890.
Never done a root before and reading articles made me think twice with how many variants there are and the apparent ease of getting it wrong.
Signed up to this forum to ask how to go about this as safely as possible, if anyone can point me the in the right direction.
Thanks
Do not root your phone, it will void your warranty and may damage and brick your s7e.
If you are making such a stupid threads really - don't do it. Otherwise, everything you need to know is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development

Xda members shouldn't be like this. Everybody has their first step to make. Make him aware of the dangers and provide a link with respect. You werent born with your knowledge neither is he.
No offence. Much respect.

my advice is to read read n read.
The Exynos version can be rooted with ease. Sm-g935F and other international models. It's been said that it is really hard, maybe impossible to hard brick the device by trying to root. Soft brick is another story, which can be fixed by downloading stock firmware and using Odin to install.
First learn what to do if something goes wrong.
Ask yourself why you want to root and if it's worth what you'll get out of rooting.
Then do as you have been and digest lots of how to do pages / tutorials and YouTube.

How does Knox work on the S5?

Is there a rooting/flashing method that bypasses it?
And even then, there's not much to lose really, right? Since Samsung isnt going to update it, and S5s dont have warranty anymore

This is a great question and your best bet is to post this question within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device.
