[Q] Phone 'Not Registered on network'

hi, i own a samsung galaxy y, and since i installed a rom, i cannot call or text, and when i try to call, it says, that i'm 'not registered on network'.
Also my IMEI number is unknown

flash stock rom using odin..
Change your baseband especially if you are on DDMD1 as most custom roms were built using older basebands so unless you use a kernel with a modded ramdisk you will loose IMEI
So change baseband by flashing a different stock rom firmware via odin which is compatible with the rom & kernel you want to use

Bro, you have an IMEI error, flash your IMEI, I mean of your country, this would be fixed, nothing to panic.

if your imei is gone then you surely messed up with the efs folder check if it is there or not and if it is not there check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26827676&postcount=4512" or try searching for imei recover

[Q] Imei null/null on stock firmware

Hello everyone i recently installed an custom rom on my note 3 SM-n900,the rom is called vm 14 is like a porting to Galaxy S5 setting with the new touchwiz, but the problem is that i got bored using this rom and when i tried to get back to stock rom from samsung it changes my imei to null/null.
So i tried to revert to custom rom once again and it works.Imei is stable not errors at all.
Any help how to revert to stock rom and to fix my imei ?
Thanks in advance.
It's known issue after VN ROM V14/14.1
Read this, perticularly post #2
In short - If you have flashed VN14/14.1 ever
1.Everytime you flash any other ROM you have to flash NE1 modem otherwise you won't have IMEI
OR
2.If you have any EFS backup made prior to flashing VN 14/14.1, just restore it and you are again free to flash any other ROM without loosing IMEI

Hi,
You might search for a modem that from your region code. If you don't know your region code, unfortunately you should go to Samsung Service Center as you didn't have any EFS backup.

Flash modem from the region where the phone was bought. Since I couldn't find the package that only contains modem, you should download a full firmware. Grab it one from SamMobile or Samsung Updates.

It really has nothing to do with a modem with your region code.
You can use any modem it really doesn't matter.
Try flashing a stock lollipop firmware.

Unfortunately, you both should bring your phone to Samsung Service Center for IMEI restoration.
Here is a guide for downgrading:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/general/i9505-downgrade-5-0-lollipop-to-4-4-2-t3052472
If you still can't get it back, then a guy claimed this method worked for him.

If it's still not fixed then service centre.

Modem not changing after flashing

Hi,
I was using RR 5.7.1 (based on CM13) for a while and noticed since I flashed it I had bad reception.
Now I realized that my GPS works horribly too. I've tried almost EVERYTHING, ranging from FasterGPS to changing the gps.conf and flashing a completely different ROM (Kushan and Omega, both based on TW)
I think the only thing I haven't tried is flashing another baseband firmware.
Well, I actually did, but the phone just wouldn't change it.
Odin claims it's a PASS but the firmware doesn't change in "About Phone" and reception stays the same.
I have a gt-i9505, I live in Israel and well, I didn't find a modem for my device and for Israel so I tried Global ones.
As stated, these don't work.
My current Baseband stays I9505XXYHOA7
No matter what I do, I can't get a GPS fix.
I typed *#1234# into the dialer to check my version,
it says the following:
AP: I9505XXUHOL4 (which is the modem I tried to flash)
CP: I9505XXUHOA7 (which is the modem I want to replace)
Any help would be really appreciated,
Thanks,

Please tell me what you want to do?
Do you want to fix gps & bad receptioning on RR rom?
#When we flashing a custom rom to our phones it will not change current baseband/modem(if you are in stock rom, then stock baseband/modem)
#For good repceptioning you want matching RIL with baseband/modem
#stock rom has a matched RIL with baseband, but when we flashing a custom rom then it remains stock baseband(because custom rom not changing baseband but ril files)
#then we have mismatching with ril and baseband,it will cause to bad receptioning
(RIL= Radio Interface Layer< driver for the modem)

Thank you so much for responding!
I finally fixed the GPS issue, turned out to be a hardware issue more than a software one.
Now I need to fix the bad cell reception, mind helping me out? How do I do that?

"Uknown IMEI and IMEI SV" on CM ROMs

Recently purchased a used, locked, Canadian note 4, and see "Unknown" values for IMEI and IMEI SV on any CyanogenMod ROMs I install: Resurrection Remix, and Emotion AOSP.
However, when I restore to stock ROM, using a backup I created before rooting, the IMEI and IMEI SV are reported as expected.
Does this issue relate to my current baseband: N910W8VLU1DPE2? Would this be fixed if I updated using Kies, or flashed the latest bootloader? I am running on build MMB29M.NN910W8VLU1DPE2
Thanks in advance for any pointers or tips
