I have firmware finder and want to use the stock updating app with the proxy software.
I'm new to this, so I don't really know how to use this app.
Can I update my phone with the MLA-L11 EMUI5? If so, which firmware (there are multiple and I don't know which one to dl) and how?'
Thanks
try this, it worked for my MLA-L03

Install firmware finder and adjust setting to view last firmware
If it can't find nougat update , you can unlock bootloader and update via twrp method

I found the b563 fw but when i tried to update it it stopped at 1 % and the phone rebooted. What can cause the problem ?
Keep checking! Older firmwares have some small optimization to be done. So these guys r releasing slowly

On the firmware finder app, disable OTA, and you'll see that the ones that say FULL/OTA will disappear,
and the only FULL that shows up are the older (EMUI 4x) ones. At least that's what happens on
mine. L29C185B321
I just manage to update to b563 by first flash b211 using the dload method, and then i could update to b563 with firmware finder . Thanks for the help everybody !

Tried to do that 10 times still the same size
Hi,
Same issue for me. It's only 1.25GB update when I perform update request.
Already done the rollback to go back to MM with the B160 version. But when ask again for a new update request using HiCare, it's always the same update of 1.25GB and not the 1.99GB one.
My device is L31 too and no root or other thinks.
I have downloaded last last HiCare app but same issue, I really do not understand why an original stock device do not get the appropriat update...
Perform reset 3 or 4 times but always the same issue...
****ing "NRD90M test keys" version...
Other people are in the same case ? Any official help or tips for Huawei Service ?
Thanks
according to me i should try with back to mm> twrp and root> flash N
You need to be on B160 then go to HiCare app ( the one from playstore ) then update from there.

I have already perform rollback to B160 and try to update after with the new app HiCare in PlayStore but same issue...
I had the same issue. This worked for me: Rollback to B160 via Rollback Image provided by Huawei. Then updated to B161 & then updated to B371, both steps via Firmware Finder and Firmware Finder Proxy. Now all seems to be working fine, no more 'NRD90M test keys' nonsense and missing stuff. Bluetooth is working fine which is my main requirement as this device is used for app testing, involving a lot of Bluetooth.

Hello!
First, let me tell you that you don't need to make X same threads or posts to get attention. One is enough. You just need to be patient.
You better wait for OTA.
The latest firmware is B350. I've used it on my CAN-L11 and I've found it better than B340, which was laggy a bit. The battery backup seems to be as EMUI 4.1, more or less (according to my usage).
The bug of Themes app can be fixed if you're rooted. Here's a guide about how to fix it.
In this post I've wrote the steps I've used to update to B350, through Firmware Finder. Just "click to show content". If you have locked bootloader, then skip the steps 3-->6.

It's said that firmwares from Firmware Finder are official ones, but I have no proof about that. I think B340 is a beta and prolly B350 too, not sure.
As I've said in my previous post, I've experienced some lags with B340 on my CAN-L11 and I can't recommend it. I didn't have any issues with B350 though.
There wasn't B350 neither when I've updated it. I installed B340 and then updated to B350 through Settings > System update.

As far as I know, you can't. You have to install C02 over C02 and C432 over C432. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Hi,
I have a rooted P9 Lite(2016) with Dual SIM and want to Update to Android 7.
But I can't update OTA because it's a rooted device.
My model: VNS-L31C432B130
I think i have 2 options: First is to unroot and update it OTA and than again root, because it's very important to root for me.
Second option is to download and install it manually.
But i don't know which firmware i have to choose. Only thing i know is that my device is VNS-L31 version.
There is so many firmware on the internet. Can i choose all firmware that begins with VNS-L31 or is there something to consider?
For example this version: VNS-L31C636B361
Which way is easier and which firmware should i choose?
thanks

The right firmware for your phone is L-31C432B370
L-31 is the phone model, if you flash firmwares with wrong phone model your phone will certainly soft brick or brick.
C432 is the region, for example c636 is Oriental/Chinese region, c185 is American or other (I don't remember), c432 is European. If you flash firmwares with wrong region, the phone will probably go into c900, the global region, And it would be difficult to restore to the factory firmware.
B*** is the actual firmware version. From 300 is android nougat, and the versions that end with 0 ("b370") are for dual SIM, those that end with 1 ("b371") are for single SIM.
Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using XDA Labs
l-31c432b370 how to install
Hi,
I have bricked my device today with this update https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=961840155545586862
I install it via twrp and than had the issue with voice command instead keyboard during setup. Fortunately I am now again back to Android 6.
Could anyone please tell me which one I have to choose and by which method I have to install it. I mean, should I install it with stock recovery or with tmrp.
My device is now unlocked and it's rooted with twrp.
Is that the right data: http://www.stechguide.com/huawei-p9-lite-b388-b389-nougat-update/
There are 3 files. One update.app and than Update data and update file. Should i install all 3 files or which one I have to choose?
Ps: Normally my system was Vns-l31c432b130 and now I have Vns-l31c432b161. But the phone is dual sim though.
Many thanks
Solved to rollback and update the usual way
Hello,
if anyone else has the same issue, this is the way to solve it.
First install the right rollback package and the stock Rom.
Here is a tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...torial-rollback-n-to-mm-c432-devices-t3563955
After I was again on stock, I updated first to b370 and than again updating to b380 by Huawei system update app.
Again unlock and install twrp and su if you wish to.
Many thanks

Hello,
if you already got or try to find a way to have your bootloader unlock number,
you can try to rebrand and surely (ex. from C652 to C432 or C185or other) this
will help you to upgrade to emui 5.x / andrid 7.0.
all the best
