Looks like my phone is Hardbricked. It won't turn on, boot in fastboot or even in recovery. It looks like it's dead. Is there any way to fix that "hardbrick" or is my phone useless now? :crying:

may the battery empty ?
and ur cable useless ?
My phone is brick, because i turned off it on 12% and it won't turn on again. Red Led after connect <broken> original cable. In a few days, new cable will come to me and I'll try to reanimation my phone. But on Le forum or bug report told, that bricked phone woke up after connect original cable and original charger only <tried few another> (Blitzwolf comes to me). How is your problem? Did you read about it?

Holding the power button and volume down buttons down, while holding the proximity sensor directly under a very bright light helped me.

Hello everybody,
does anybody here see a connection between missing volume buttons(physical switches on the camera module 04w2155) and the tablet doesn't start?
As backgrund info.
Tablet is doing only short vibration when trying to power on, or when connecting to charger. When connecting charger led on the back is flashing but i don't get anything on the display or other feedback except the short vibration. I suspect also some damage with the screen, but cannot confirm. Tablet has a repair of the power button.
Thank you
You might be in APX mode, which doesn't activate the display.
Press the battery-disconnect button inside the tiny hole next to sim card slot and then try to power up your tablet.
Thanks for reply/hint.
What reset did is that for around half a minute the red led was lightning continuously, not blinking. After thag blinks again.
After research about apx mode i'm more and more certain this is my situation, it's active now.
If i connect to computer, it does recognize, search for driver and then disconnects within few seconds.
Since i see this more like a software problem could i stabilise the connection to the computer and recover informations/make backup and restore rom?
Thank you!

My guess - not to answer your latest question but to the original one, is that your missing volume buttons (physically missing, yes?) very much have something to do with the tablet's current condition. To get to APX mode, the tablet must be started from cold boot with power AND volume pressed at same time (physically pressed). If your missing buttons are registering as being 'pressed' all of the time, it may be difficult to create a boot situation where you can get to your android desktop.
Could you elaborate on the missing buttons?
Please someone else chime in here - I don't even have my tablet.
Thanks for reply.doesn't matter for which question. I put together any information. Issue is getting clearer.
I got the tablet in this condition and attempt repair. Power button was down so i soldered back.
Now the thing is somebody worked before in this area and i suppose the actual powerbutton is one of the volume buttons since the work done before doesnt look professional. I suppose they destroyed the powerbutton and desoldered a volume button to resolder as powerbutton. Which possibly is the case for both volume switches. Now the two vol buttons are nowhere.
The switch has 3 pins,of which the ones at the sides have continuity when the switch is unpressed.
I suppose for boot it could require that the 2 volume switches to be present, that means it could have some continuity check through the switches, and if they are not present it cannot start.
I cannot simulate the 2 buttons because for one switch the soldering pad on the board got burned.
I am going to upload pictures in 5-6 hours when i get home.
If this proves to be somehow true i would order another brand new camera module with all 3 switches, but now i'm unsure if with new board it could start, at least for flashing/recovery.
But having it vibrating and red light flashinv i see a sign it's not yet a "unrecoverable brick"
What do you think?
Thank you

Anybody any idea about this case?

I think it is definetely a screen damage, maybe a conection cord. Try to clean/replug this cord (cant remember now where it is). This short vibration indicates, that device is begining to boot. Right after vibration Lenovo logo should apear on the screen. If it doesnt - screen is down...
About power board - no connection between power and volume buttons for sure. Power button: + is central, - is other two.
stas.green brings up a good point. If you have opened up the tablet, it is very easy to disconnect the flat ribbon cable that runs the display. When I installed my 3G card the same thing happened to me. Freaked me out but it took 30 seconds to open it back up and correctly seat the cable.

stas.green you're right. the problem is with the screen. i powered the tablet and conected to the computer. i could see the memory access the files and make a backup.
i'm going to examine where is the screen problem origin and possibly to fix it. the screen cables i checked, they fit good. any other weak point known to you?
thanks for help
My next suggestion, not to fix the screen, but to get some function back - connect the tablet to a TV via the mini-HDMI port and see if you are booting to a normal desktop. Hopefully 'External Display' is already enabled. At least you would be able to test if the touch and pen functions of your screen and confirm if they still work even though your backlighting may be broken. Shining a flashlight at an angle on the screen may make the desktop visible if the backlighting is the issue.
Good luck!
Ok, after flashing matrix kernel thru CWM. My n4 suddenly turned off and won't turn on again. I plugged it into the charger and then the red notification light started flashing.
What should i do know? Please help!! Thank you in advance!:crying:
Hold down the power, volume down and volume up buttons at the same time firmly until you hear the phone vibrate. If you see a battery icon press the power button again. You should now be in the bootloader and should have the option to boot into android.
Note that I'm not sure if you have to hold down volume up. It may only be volume down and power.

There are a few other posts about people getting a red LED notification and not turning on. One had also something to do with CWM, and they all got a new N4. Can you get into the bootloader?
Hi there,
I broke my screen a few weeks ago. After replacing it, I noticed that the volume buttons didn't work anymore. At first I thought it would be a software issue, but I was proved wrong a few days later when the power button stopped working, too. :silly: Now I have a phone with a brand-new screen which I cannot boot any longer because of the lack of any physical button.
Anyhow, the phone is charging when plugged in. I already disassembled the phone again and tried some tricks putting the battery in and out but without any result: A battery is shown on the screen and the phone continues charging.
Is there a chance to start my XT1562 again without power and volume buttons?
Thanks in advance!
Get it repaired

Hi all
Just received this phone a few days ago and all it went fine, but last night phone screen went black, and only sign of life i can see the white led in the left top corner blinking when i push power button.
I´ve tried to reboot pushing the power button from 10seconds and release, till 60 seconds but it doesn´t reboot. I´ve searched for a user manual on this terminal, but couldn´t find it on the web.
Does anyone how i can reboot this phone in this case? No display working and no response in pushing power button for a while? Is there a reboot button somewhere in the phone?
It´s kind of frustrating, in my old samsung i just pulled the battery out easy when gets blocked.
Thanks and regards.
Hold Power and Volume up, the phone should vibrate after some time and you should see the boot screen.
this happened to me just 10 min ago, my phone was working perfectly the last 3 weeks. Now it looks dead, does not make any sound, i cannot reboot it. Only the ambient light blinks when i push the power button or when i charge it. It is not responding to anything, what happened and how can i fix it?
My device has shut down, only the led flashes when I press power or connect to the charger
Como solucionar isso ?
Open the phone's back cover and reconnect the battery connector, this will work I had the same problem.

Hi ,
The same thing happened to me , I put phone on charging over night and in morning , the same thing was happening - black screen , and only led was blinking when I was pressing any of the power / volume rockers. In my case , it was the faulty socket on which I charged on , the phone was never actually charging and since LED was blinking , it gave me an illusion that phone was charging. I plugged it in different socket , and voila! it booted up in 5 mins. Hope it helps !
my a1 is trying to turn on because its vibrating but the screen is still black, when i try to turn it on it keeps vibrating.
please help
If you put an SD card, try removing it and restarting the cell phone. The same thing happened to me and it was because the SD was damaged. I put a new one and it started working
Si le pusiste una tarjeta SD, probá sacarla y reiniciar el celular. A mí me pasaba lo mismo y era porque la SD estaba dañada. Puse una nueva y empezó a funcionar
Cómo lo solucionaste?
How did you solve it?
Does holding power button + volume down get u into bootloader?
I have the same problem, my Mi A1 dont boot and i cant open fastboot mode (and screen dont turn on when charging)
Hi.
I have experienced the same thing before, where the phone looks dead, power button not working with only blinking led light. In my case, it is actually because the phone had no battery. I charged the phone for about 30 mins then the phone boots up normaly by long pressing the power button
Hope this helps you.
