Hey resident experts,
I'm having a really tough time here. I used Odin to update my Injustice Edition G935k, and am miserable with the FW.
I can't seem to track down the 935k injustice ed firmware, but am seeing some evidence of other variant FW working. Could anyone possible assist me with some info regarding whether this is possible, safe, or even where I could find my original firmware?
Much appreciated
Try this method
Install smart switch , go to more...Emergency software recovery and initialization, device initialization, type model name after that imei and sn and the program will download the original firmware that came up with the phone

Of guys you can call me a noob or whatever, but I have noticed finally Samsung has released 5.0.1 for the N910F (Snapdragon variant).
In Australia we only had the opportunity to purchase the N910G. From having looked around online I cannot seem to find any difference between these 2 models (N910F & N910G) except for the region that the handset was sold in.
So my question is, am I able to install the N910F firmware onto my N910G device and still have a working device afterwards?
I haven't experimented much with my N910G as it cost me so much when I purchased it.
I was able to install different region firmwares on my SM-T700 and my GT-i9505 however it seems that back then the devices didn't seem to have region specific model numbers.
Any advice would be most appreciated, thank you for reading.
No u can't install n910f software without having a kernel that's compatible with n910f and n910g like we did in kit kat with nadia or ael. Hopefully won't be long and we will be able too but not yet
from dans galaxy far far away
I downloaded the F firmware and tried to install it to my 910G, no dice. ODIN errors out.
Custom roms will be made that work with it very soon, so i guess we just have to wait for them.
Hi Guys;
I was tricked buying a N9106W off gumtree with it was advertised as a N9100 Note 4 Dual SIM:
The problem is that I cant find any firmware for the N9106W except for the branded china unicom one on sammobile.
The firmware is impossible to use as it is missing google account, google play store and when someone calls me only their phone number will appear even if they are already saved to contacts, and also they will appear as from somewhere in china under the call locations.
I tried to flash the N9100 firmware with ODIN thinking they are the same phone, but i got Auth Error,
also tried this one but phone got stuck in boot loop
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/rom-stock-n9106wznu1anig-t2893375
can someone please help me with a link to a good stock firmware with no branding? prefer 5.0.1
or is there a way to force odin to flash N9100 firmware on the N9106W? Since they are the same phone.
Thanks!
They are NOT the same phone, and you cannot just flash the stock firmware file for another model.
You need to flash the stock firmware for the N9106W. Use the search function in XDA, there are several instances which will tell you how to install Google apps on such devices
all the firmware i can find for the N9106W is china unicom branded, and most of the info i can find on this phone is in chinese
Hi
I am noobish and would love some help from an expert
I Got my Note 4 SM-N910H on eBay a few years ago. I brought it unlocked not sure if its unlocked via IMEI or some other way (Its working with both USA AT&T sim and UK Virgin sim). Looks like it has been customized in some way because I went to Odin mode and it has binary & status custom and Knox voided.
Tried updating via settings and it will not allow it due to being modified. Tried Samsung Kies and it says its not supported.
Its currently on 4.4.4 firmware and i want to get it to 6.0.1.
I found a website with the official 6.0.1 firmware for N910H. (Cant post links but updato and samsung-firmware). The problem is there are multiple different country versions and I don't have a clue which country to pick? I want it in English. But there are none with USA or UK. Does the firmware country make a difference apart from language? I don't know what the original carrier was and there are no carrier specific apps installed. Does it have to be the same country as the original? Could I lose my unlock and not be able to use my sim card?
About Device:
Android 4.4.4
Baseband N910HXXU1ANIF
Kernal 3.10.9-2815469
Build Number KTU84P.N910HXXU1ANIF
Device Status Custom (Does that mean its rooted?)
I am happy with either official firmware or custom if its 6.0.1 or something better.
Please any tips/advice/guides or links would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

4.4.4 is the best if you want my advice don't upgrade you will regret.
marshmallow and lollipop both sucks on note 4 and once you upgraded the bootloader will be locked and you cannot downgrade back to 4.4.4.
If your device status shows custom then it means it was rooted and modified for some reasons to make it fully work out of china because N910H is chinese note 4 3g model i believe.
just pick your own country. if its not available, just pick a neighbor country.
btw.....before you try any of those, try to boot to recovery and see if TWRP is installed. if yes, good, continue by creating backup of your current rom.
if not, I suggest installing TWRP first and make a full backup.
about kitkat vs marshmellow, I'll go with MM. With MM, you got more features, you got more recent android security patch.
yes, its worse on battery. but some tweaks here and there will (almost) fixed it.
Thanks for the help
Tried installing supersu and it says its not rooted so don't know why it says device status custom haha.
Yes 910H does say its an asian model but the firmwares are not asian areas they are more like african areas? The nearest one to USA is Trinidad and Tobago i think.
Think ill just stick with 4.4.4 since I don't know what I am doing
TY

Take your time to read on some threads. Just relax, no need to rush.
I have 910h myself, and I'm enjoying this device with root and xposed.
To root, get your cfautoroot. Its a simple process, just a few click here and there.
Custom status means that your knox is tripped. It means it has been successfully rooted before.
Trust me, its worth the time spent.
Hello. I recently bought the Note 4 device from a phone store. I made all necessary checks and discovered it's a real Note 4, however, on getting home I decided to do further checks and downloaded the Samsung info app.
Then I noticed some inconsistencies. Whilst in about phone, it is written that the phone is the n910f model, the Samsung info app states that it is n910v and even the refurbishment check says it is a refurbished phone.
I want to upgrade this phone to marshmallow and possibly install custom rooms, I am however confused on whether to download the n910f marshmallow room or n910v. Please help

Yes there are dozens of roms available but you have to unlock bootloader+Twrp recovery+root to have in order to flash any roms.
If you have patience and knowledge in samsung phones you can do it otherwise i suggest use the way you bought or just flash stock N910V marshmallow firmware via odin
You can download stock from www.sammobiles.com/firmwares.
Or if you succeed to unlocking bootloader you can go for custom roms

Thanks so much. Will do as you suggested and quote you in the future if I encounter any challenges
I had a question.
Do I have to flash TWRP for the Verizon version or the other? Cause my Bootloader says it's SM-N910V.
Thanks!
Hi,
I have a Grand Prime with the model SM-G530P and was wondering if I am able to flash the firmware for the model SM-G530H.
The phone was purchased outside of Philippines and doesn't use the firmware that I would like it to. I just figured they are the same phone (just different model numbers) so there shouldn't be any issues right? I might just lose a couple features or something but the phone should work correctly.
Thank you in advance.
