Why is it that I am having problems with my sd card mounting while using AOSP roms. I've tried Lineage, AOKP, and Resurrection and they all crash and need to reboot the phone because of inserting my sd.
I believe it is exfat. Not sure what I should do to fix the issue I am having.

please help someone.recently i installed cyanogenmod 6.1.2 and my sd card is unmountig by it self(i use kingston 2gb sd card).i turned back to black system by quarks and there is no such thing.back to cyanogenmod and same problem again.is it something with the rom or maybe there is some partitions that i should do before install this rom.or something else.(sorry for my bad english::
It never happend to me... Sometimes when I use unmount sd card, he refuses to do that, and say sd card unexpectedly removed, but I don't think it is big problem.
When trying to install Tezet's CM10, I came across a problem with my CWM install, and was wondering if anyone was able to help me with recovering from it. When I go to choose SIP from SD card, it says unable to mount SD card, and in the logs it is unable to find find the SD card (cant remember the exact device, but was /deb/block/mmc...), but in android the SD card is on /dev/block/vold/179:1. I believe the problem would have originated when I tried the CM9 rom (went from CM7 to CM9, decided it wasn't for me at that stage due to being a bit to unstable still, so went back to CM7 and haven't flashed any roms since.
How can I go about installing an older version of CWM that is compatible with CM7, to be able to mount the SD card again, so that I can try the new mod. Everything I have read installs CWM from SD card, which is not an option for me, for obvious reasons.
Thanks in advance.
Nick
My SD card gets corrupted, getting names and extensions for files and folders with random characters. This happens with cm11 latest snapshot and also with omnirom 4.4.4 final.
SD card is new, works perfectly in my tablet, pc and camera.
Phone is a SGS i9000 with no SD card slot problems, right now running stock rom with SD card in it. No files corrupted here.
Is there a fix for this problem? Or will a fix be available for omnirom?
One of the biggest reason to move on to custom rom for our condor was storage issue.
Now since any of the apps/mods/script doesn't seems to work on Marshmallow roms to fix that issue (pardon me if I'm wrong here).
Resurrection Remix 5.6.0 seems to fix that all.
So far I've tried three marshmallow roms.
First : CM 13(Unofficial)
External Sd card adoption works fine in this rom but after that you can't directly move files to your card because it won't be detected on your pc. After connecting through usb cable only internal storage shows up.
Second : CyanPop 4.3
External Sd card adoption didn't worked on this one
Third : Resurrection Remix 5.6.0
External Sd card adoption works perfectly fine here. Plus you can directly move files to your sd card. After connecting through usb cable Sd card storage shows up. One more thing only sd card storage shows up and not the phone's internal storage (I guess it's pretty much fine).
When sd card removed from the phone and inserted through card reader or any other means it doesn't show up which is pretty much self-explained.
So overall resurrection remix seems doing fine regarding storage issues. So cheers :good:

I've seen many people reporting that foldermount isn't working on MM though haven't tried yet.
Will try it
Micromax A300 on Resurruction remix
I am currently facing similar issue. The phone has 25 GB of total storage which is partitioned as 1.48 GB for internal memory and the rest is made as an internal SD card. No available SD slot. Now the file manager does not detect the SD storage at all and the images and videos are being saved into the 1.48 partition. Can you please give a detailed guide on how i can restore my internal SD? The Rom Version is LP-v-5.5.0
Thanks in advance

My SD Card won't format as internal storage and it didn't work but it worked on my uncle's phone (LOS 15) that it worked and i've also tried a different card and it still didn't work and i'm running RRN 5.8.5
Guys please I need help. I am with an unofficial CM13 rom. Everything was fine until trying to flash Xposed I realized that my recovery can't mount the SD I have earlier formatted as internal. Wanted marshmallow so much especially because of that SD adoption. But didn't know that will make unable to use my custom recovery after that. Any suggestions?

You can always reformat your SD...
Formatting SD as internal in MM will cause that you can just use the SD Card on Android 6 as Internal. Recovery wont recognize, that its an SD Card. You could reformat SD as external again and than you should be able to use SD Card in recovery again. But I guess that shouldnt be a problem bec you can flash files from internal (which is also ur SD Card) too.
