I have annoying problem with animations in developers settings that they don't stay OFF.I even tried to leave all 3 settings to
x 0.5 but all of them getting back to x1.Any advice on how to force it to stay off.On all my phones I am turning it off and never had any problem like this only on this LeEco le Pro 3 with 21s stock ROM.
Thanks in advance.
On stock ROM they're automatically re-enabled when you charge the phone, at least with a wall plug, not sure about PC connection. If you use battery assistant mode they'll turn off...
Even with battery assistant mode off animations is getting back on.

With assistant on, not off. Animations won't run on stock 21s or turbo's destroyer 8. I've used both and animations only run when BA is disabled, which automatically happens if the phone is charging...
The animations in dev options will revert to 1x by itself, but you won't actually see them if assistant is enabled.

Does anyone know if using the Green Power app will conflict with settings in the default battery manager?
ie i have green power set to turn wireless off for 30min and then on for 2min.
but i also have my custom battery saver mode to completely turn data off during off-peak hours after 15min of inactivity.
I would like for Green Power to work under my battery saver mode. aka i want battery saver mode to take precedence.
thanks.

Its like making two bosses settle for one more one less. Might create conflicts. I use 'super power' to turn off wifi. But then don't use internal battery settings.
yea i think im just going to mess around with both individually and see which one gives me better battery life.

Green Power doesn't work that well on mine; wifi & data are toggled randomly, wifi stays on when screen is off, etc.
I was just mailing with the dev of Green app; he doesn't know either why it happens; ""Low level things like Mobile Data (and Wifi) are quite device specific. Which makes life harder for Android developers than iPhone developers..."".
Waiting for further response, will post here if anything changes..
whenever Green Power turns off my mobile data, it will stay off forever until i reboot. i can get calls and sms, but data will not work. turning off green power and cycling airplane mode doesn't work either.

Considering the Atrix has a built in Battery Manager maybe if you set the built in one to the Max Performance where there is no restrictions then use a 3rd party battery manager?
It just seems there will be some conflicts.

Are any of you that are having this problem using widget locker? I was using widget locker on mine and GP couldn't recognize when the phone was unlocked... something to consider... I don't use it now (running Gingerblur) and GP works like a CHARM. One of the best apps on my phone

I use the internal battery manager only for the screen dimming when it hits a certain percent. Green Power does all the rest and I get killer battery life. I suggest you all do the same. Ditch the 3rd party launcher and set up Green Power with the settings listed in the battery thread.

stock locker. GP has frustrated me now that i've stopped using it. the only way to get my data connection working again was to stop the program. even cycling airplane mode did nothing.

Running any weird power control widgets? I'm using the stock android power control for all of that nonsense and it works perfect. Maybe some widgetsoid/third party something isn't registering?
It's a shame, and I hope it starts working for you bc it really is a great thing.
Right now I'm at 1d 1h 32m 18s since unplugged.
Ive had similar issues with green power on my N1 running CM7RC2.
I have noticed the issue seems to be linked to the Day and night mode Toggle if screen ON/Toggle if screen unlocked options
If these options are turned on then app may work for a while and then after some time data will just stay on and never turn off
If these options are off service will work for requested On/Off durations but wont turn data back on when screen is on or unlocked even if manually selecting to enable it.
I tried with this tasker rule set also but didn't seem to work

I'm not sure if my problem is with OxygenOS or Nougat, but I've scoured the internet for months and haven't found an answer
I have two problems that I think are linked to doze mode on my device, and they both occur under the same conditions. First is my alarm clock (Alarm Clock Xtreme) doesn't work in the morning, and second is my Samsung Gear Fit 2 needs manually reconnected each morning. And through troubleshooting I've determined the problem occurs under rather unique conditions. The problem ONLY occurs when my phone is plugged in and sits overnight (so fully charged sometime during the night). Which is most nights, because I want a full battery in the morning.
But if I happen to go to bed and leave the phone unplugged, the alarm clock WORKS in the morning and the smart watch stays connected all night. So unplugged overnight, no problems. Plugged in, alarm clock won't work and Bluetooth connection to smart watch is dropped.
I haven't been able to find an answer in the 3 months I've had my OnePlus 5. Any thoughts?
Specs: OnePlus 5, Oxygen OS 4.5.10, Nougat 7.1.1.
I can also move this post elsewhere if there is a more appropriate area of the forum for this question. But I don't have this problem with my old device.
You can try disabling battery optimization for selected apps.

It's probably the apps man if you think about it. Try using a different application and report back.

I actually had another alarm clock app before, that was doing the same thing. And I don't really have an alternate application for the watch.
I've researched this fairly extensively and have only been able to grasp small nuggets of insight. I did find one source on xda (but I can't remember where I saw it) that talked about doze mode acting funny when the phone is plugged in to charge. Basically an inability to wake from doze under certain circumstances.

You can always enable Developer Options and choose the option for the screen to stay awake while charging which should also keep your phone awake. You can also disable Doze completely in Developer Options.

Thanks! I don't want to disable doze, but I might try that other one. My other quick fix I juts thought of is to use a timer switch or smart switch to have the charger shut off after an hour. That's enough to give me a boost, but not fully charge. I tried it last night and everything worked this morning. Though my battery was only at 60%, it was better than nothing.

It's recommended these days to keep your battery charged between 40%—80% to prolong its life and not keep the phone plugged in overnight like in the old days. I charge mine to 80% before going to bed.
If it's actually a Doze issue I don't understand why it wouldn't happen when the phone isn't plugged in. Do you have a screen saver enabled?
Fellow OP5 user here, I have the EXACT same problem.
If I leave the phone charging for long time and doze kicks in, the phone basically shuts down for all purposes until I unlock it with my pattern. Meaning, only the built in alarm (that works even with the phone turned off) will work. Any other (Timely, radio...) won't.
Now here's the kicker: sometimes the deep sleep will cause a weird bootloop, upon which the screen will indefinitely hang on the spinning logo, with the screen turned on, requiring a reboot. And of course this makes the alarm not sound.
This last bit happens at random. If I disable the screen sleeping in Dev options, the alarm will work but when I wake up the pattern input screen would be there, after all night on, which isn't really healthy for the screen.
Turning doze off makes this problem apparently disappear, but I need to investigate some more to draw conclusions. For the time being I sleep without charging, quick charge and the phone's great battery makes it unnecessary to keep it connected all night.
Another fun tidbit of this deep sleep mode: it stops USB tethering. I would have imagined a wakelock in there, but apparently there isn't.
For information : I use vanilla kernel and OOS. I have Magisk on and Gravitybox via Xposed Magisk, but other than that I have nothing particular going on.
I've been hearing that from other sources as well, about not letting it sit overnight on the charger at 100%. Which is why I think I'm gonna keep using the smart switch of my nightstand charger. The OnePlus Dash charging system works great for a quick charge anyways, so having 100% fully charged to last all day long is no longer necessary. I have a normal USB cable at my night stand, so it's a slow charge. If I set the timer to stop after an hour it at least gives me a small charge overnight, without overdoing it. And I have dash charger at work to give me the full quick 20 minute charge that puts me at 60-70%.
No I don't have a screensaver running. It is weird that the phone locks in the doze mode for the alarm and boots me off my watch's BT connection, but only when plugged in and sitting at a full charge for an extended time (haven't stayed awake all night to test just how long it has to sit). But that IS what it IS. Those have been confirmed as the only conditions in which this problem arises. I've been using the smart switch for 3 days now to keep my phone from going to and staying at 100%, and the alarm clock is working again and the watch is staying connected.
It's not that it's a big of a deal for me to have to use a work around like this. I don't mind. But I hate finding a glitch in something and not being able to truly "fix" it. Work-arounds work. But they don't actually solve the problem. This is just a gripe I have in general whenever something like this happens. It's in my nature to want things to work properly. Which is why I haven't had a non-rooted device in at least 5 years. I NEED to have the ability to fix the [email protected]$$ sh1t the software developers and phone manufacturers screw up. Of course, that's probably the number one reason xda exist. This open up the full potential of these devices, because the manufacturers are either too dumb or are financially motivated to not fix things (ahem...Samsung). Thank you everyone who chimed in with advice. I appreciate it.
It has been my experience with this phone so far that doze mode doesn't work. At all. I regularly have widgets that won't update even though I have doze turned off...
Just one of the many annoyances that has me thinking about finally rooting and getting rid of this garbage os...
I have noticed this frequently. When the phone is in idle state, all data connection (wifi or mobile date) goes to sleep. It's only after i turn screen on or go to lock screen that the connection gets back. So much so that even google reminders don't come through in idle state. This is extreemely frustrating. I haven't even put the phone on any power saving mode. Even the wifi settings don't show any options to keep the connection always alive even if screen is off. Defeats the purpose of having a smart phone. Does any one have any solutions?
Asus sucks at network
Not sure if happened with mine also but if i turn off the screen when using youtube and turn it on then the app shows "no internet connection" for a moment and gets back to normal
are u using any custom rom / kernel

None. All stock.
So it was on the afternoon, 40°C outside, I took a nap and left my s7 edge charging as usual (it was inside my house and had my curtains down, so the sun wasn't aiming at the phone), 2 hours later I woke up and the phone was hot as hell, it was burning my hand, the weird thing is that it was on something like a safe mode (widgets dissapeared, could't pull down notification bar and after some seconds it kept rebooting) I could not turn off the phone without it rebooting, so I went to recovery mode (temp was 44°C), wiped cache and dalvik and rebooted, also put my phone on a fan to try to cool it down. When it restarted it was again in that weird mode and after 2 minutes it went back to normal mode, but a lot of settings had restored to its defaults (wifi passwords deleted, keyboard on default mode, widgets still not there, notification asking me about if I wanted notifications to show on lockscreen...). What could it be? I've disabled fast charging just in case, I don't want it to happen again

Stock governors, no, just undervolting, but it had been stable for a week or so, when I entered mtweaks everything had been restored to its defaults
So today it happened again, but this time looks like it corrupted my /data partition, system got restored to its defaults without me touching anything (fingerprint was still registered and apps were still installed), most of the apps give me force close and the ones on the system partition (whatsapp, instagram...) boot but is like if its data had been wiped
So I've been having this problem since a few days. It happened a few times in MIUI 10.3.5 global version then after updating to 10.3.6 I had it ALL the time.
Checking battery stats gives no info on this. Apps shown to consume battery are the ones I use and they only have 1 minute of keeping screen awake timer.
I've no idea what's causing this and I don't want to root my device as some of my applications have aggressive root detection and won't work.
CPU spy shows 0 deep sleep and 660 mhz is used instead of sleeping.
Steps I've taken so far:
The only temporary fix I found was to disable MIUI optimizations in developers options but that isn't of any help anymore.
Factory reset, playing around with different settings including turning off sync, wifi, mobile data and airplane mode on phone still didn't sleep.
Logged out of MIUI account and haven't logged back in after factory reset.
Turned location off/tried GPS only.
I'm going to reflash my firmware today and post the results, need any advice on this as I've scoured the internet but found no solution.
Probably fix(?) Not turning to sleep mode xiaomi
Hi, I actually faced the same problem before and like yourself, I turned off my mi optimization and I use Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. This is how it works for me, so it might help you? So I turned the mi optimization off, and later turn it on back but my phone has yet to enter the sleep mode even though it should be even after the set time. I restarted my phone and it didn't work either. So what I did, is basically turn mi optimization off, reboot and turn it on, to reboot again. I know it might sound strange but I have a theory, if we reboot the device after turning it off and on, it might as well go back to normal as we, according to the warning, need to reboot our device after turning mi optimization off.
