I am running Official Lineage for the Moto G4 plus , I currently have the latest radio (M8952_70030.25.03.62R8952-05.30.R), this must not be the right radio for the xt1644 (us) version on Verizon (cdma). It (or the rom) thinks I have 2 sims. The 1644 version has only one sim (a cdma/gsm,/lte, etc. ) radio.
The phone is sometimes flaky, sticking on cdma or LTE, have to go into the hidden menu (Phone info), to get it to switch sometimes.
Also Phone-settings-calls (phone.android.com) always force closes when trying to open that submenu.

Does anyone have any experience with the xt1644 specifically? I know most of you are in Europe/asia and have GSM.
I'm also running the latest LineageOS and having radio issues, but I'm on AT&T... I'm not sure what version of the phone I have.. Are there any diagnostic tools I can run to look for hints?

Hey guys I need help... I got my wife an unlocked AT&T LG G2. I set up the APN setting and the LTE was working but as soon as I don't have a strong signal the phone drops to gsm and it doesn't give me the options to include other frequencies on settings. I worked with T-Mobile to fix the issue but they don't have a fix. I was adviced to flash a T-Mobile stock ROM is this possible if the build model is different?
Hi all,
I own a SM-A500M phone. The phone has unlocked stock rom (original rom is not modified by carrier) and updated trough OTA to android 5.0.2. I know 4g does work in my phone because I could use it with my prior carrier, but I recently changed to CLARO and with this new provider I don't have 4g acces, only H+ and it is really slow and laggy connection.
I know the following:
1) Sim card is a compatible 4g nano sim
2) The carrier CLARO has 4g coverage where I live
3) The phone is not the problem
4) I have tried all the usual FAQS (APN's, select LTE in config, reboot) with no success.
5) The phone's variant is right (latinoamerican brand), so It can't be due to frequencies or bands problems.
I asked for help in CLARO and told me that this has happened amongst users with unlocked phones (that is, rom not modified with CLARO's bloatware), and the solution is to flash CLARO's rom. But the problem with this solution is that CLARO hasn't released android 5.0.2 update (and I think it will never update) and I really like android 5 and wouldn't want to return to 4.4.
So, is it true? Is there a chance to fix this problem with minor tweaks? What is the problem here?
Since I recently acquired this phone, I would prefer not lossing warranty, so rooting and custom roms might not be an option.
Thanks in advance. Kind regards!
You could try to flash their rom and check if it works. Then you can be 100% sure that hardware/chip/network provider are fine. I have the same phone on since last week, but still did not go to get the chip at a movistar office. Maybe you need to activate the chip and they refuse to do it unless you get their rom. Maybe just getting their rom, and then flashing back the updated stock one or a CM or whatev would be enough.
Hi all.
I have a G930P just unlocked (USB/hardware method via GSMZambia). Currently has older OTA-restricted ROM to allow the unlock.
I'd like to update to the newest G930U firmware to get rid of all the Sprint stuff.
We are Verizon (USA) customers, and will uset he phone on the VZW network. I have already confirmed this works after the unlock (using the SIM from my own VZW S7).
Question is:
Which G930U firmware do I use? on the download pages they are specified for Sprint, Veriozn, AT&T etc.
Do I use the G930U for VZW because that will be the carrier? What is teh difference between these, I assume it is the splash screen and which radios are set as the default?
Thanks
Wanted to follow up on this.
After some careful comparison I realized that ALL the "u" firmware files listed - for each of the different carriers - are in fact all the same file. Which make sense b/c it's intended for a phone that starts off life w/ possibility to go to any network.
So after putting the "u" firmware on my formerly Sprint phone, it works flawlessly on Verizon. As far as I can tell all the relative radio bands are working equally well as my other G930V (native Verizon) phone.
Hopefully this will be helpful to somebody else in the future....
who did you get lte and voice to work. for some reason i can only get one or the other to work. not both

I didn't do anything special at all.
I literally installed the reference ROM, and it worked. It has since auto-updated itself several times, and works flawlessly.
It's my wife's phone, I have a G930V w/ Verizon firmware etc (never done anything special w/ it) and the function the same. Just a few skin differences where Verizon has added extra stuff to mine AFAIK.
In 7.0 stock the option to switch from 4g to 3g work perfectly, but in LineageOS 14.1 the option is available, clickable, but not working. How can I solve this problem?

And which version? The 20170123 official nightly? I'm on they mentioned nightly and switching works as expected.
Anyone??
I'm in 20170227 and I'm also not able to switch between 4G and 3G.
Where I live we have 4G networks but there's no data traffic, only in 3G.
2G switch's fine, but you can't really use it due to its very slowly speed.
Please help.

I have a XT1625 and LTE, HSPA+, 2G, and EDGE all work fine. T-Mobile, tested on 0227 and 0306 build with both stock and ElementalX kernel.
There may be radio differences between the 1625 and 1640 but I can't be sure as to which bands may or may not be supported. When you installed LOS did you make sure to wipe Data/Cache/System/Dalvik? Make sure you don't overwrite existing ROMs without wiping first.
Well, I guess there are different radio frequencies, not sure, but I know that the XT1641 works in different bands than the indian model, so I guess is the same.
Anyway, I think I found a solution: in settings, you have to go to system perfis (sorry don't know how to translate it to english since I can't remember the equivalent, but is above the Google section) then you tap to edit the one you're using. There you have the option to select the favorite type of network, and you actually CAN switch perfectly to 3G, 4G or EDGE.
Can't imagine why it doesn't work in the "right" part of the settings but, you know, if it works it's good.

Here is a link to all the radios
I lose LTE when I flash any of the zip file radios in twrp. I have to wipe, and reflash the stock Nougat rom through fastboot to get LTE back. Fortunately, I can restore my data backup through twrp and be back up running pretty quickly.
I have noticed that it thinks I have two sim slots, when I have only one. And when I try to open phone/settings/calls to set up voicemail, com.phone.android force closes, and sometimes it asks me to choose sim card 1 or 2.
