Hi,
I have the finow x5+ and happy with it. Except I really like typing with swype (gboard has the function). But the problem is, that you can swipe any app or screen to go one screen/app back. Thats good, but you accidentally close your app often while typing with swype when you reach the left side of your screen. Since the X5+ has a hardware-key for back, this function is not neccessary for me.
So is there any way to disable this gesture?
No, in the settings, there are no options for this. So I ask if anyone know the launcher of the finow (lemfo seems the same for me) and if there are config files or anything other to manipulate this behaviour.
Thanks!

Ok, so this has been really bothering me that i cant fix this myself..so i came for help.. I like both the Quickdesk Beta and Itching Thumb as a kind of in-between for LauncherPro and just getting to apps/widgets, while still in-app. The problem with Droid X is that theres no way to set a third-party app as the default function. Im more interested with getting Quickdesk to work, because that is what i can see myself using more.
I have tried the workarounds that is on the quickdesk site, or where ever the link on it sends you (using titanium backup to freeze the default app you choose for double tap, so nothing would happen except launch quickdesk). The problem with this is that after the first home button press, it exits the current app, to your launcher, then opens quick desk. I have seen/tried the other method using SQL Editor, which i think is the proper route, but dont understand the proper input style. (<Program>/<Activity>)...i do know that the file for quickdesk is (sg.ruqqq.quickdesk) and have tried that, but i think something else is needed for the proper function of it. If someone can point me in the right, more specific direction, it would be greatly appreciated..Thank you
And yes i have searched around and done extensive research first
I can't seem to be able to use the keyboard to type in the top app when I use multi-window. Pressing any key reverts me to the app on the bottom half of the screen. I'm using Swiftkey btw. Anyone know fixes? Thanks in advance.

I believe when you are using Stock Keyboard, you can detach it and move around when in Multiwindow mode. But i don't know about SwiftKey, play around in it's settings and see...

Wow bro i was exactly in this moment post this issue.
I have the problem to i cant type in the upper app whatever the app is, i also use siwftkey. Have you find any solution? this happened to me after upgrading to kitkat sm-n900.
I tried undocking swiftkey and it worked, but it can be the complete solution. There are some pics of different apps , another issue is that when i want to edit the multiwindow apps the option to go play store is not available.
I donĀ“t know were to look, if any of you know something please share
Thanks
Nope, sorry man. Currently i'm just sticking to swapping the top screen with the bottom whenever I need to type. Tedious though
I have this issue too. I noticed that the stock keyboard doesn't have this problem.
As a temporary solution I used tasker with the note buddy plugin to automatically switch the SwiftKey keyboard to stock.
I know it's just not the best solution since you always have to pull out the s pen, but it's something.
For those who don't have tasker, there's the SpenBoardswitcher.

Has there been and solutions or updates to this? Driving me nuts. I noticed that after I updated my note 3 to 4.4.2 on att this issue presented itself
Swiftkey doesn't support Multiwindow. It has never officially done so.
Ugh. Quite frustrating but it is what it is. Thanks for the response.
Open pie menu using stylus only. Put stylus oriented apps in pie menu-like launcher. How can I achieve this. I'm loosing sleep over such a feature.
it would work like this...
All is normal. Un-silo stylus, then swipe inward from edge of screen using stylus. Pie menu opens, but only if initiated using stylus. I can do the rest from there.
I cannot find anything using search RE: this. One would think Galaxy Note XYZ forums for this, but alas.
Any takers?

You could achieve this with LMT and tasker combined together.

When pen is removed activate lmt when pen is returned deactivate lmt you will have to find the task for the stylus being removed and replaced. But since it turns the screen on it should be in there somewhere.
I guess I need to brush up on Tasker a little more before I attempt such a feat. I guess this would be a good way for me to start learning! Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated.
If I can manage to accomplish this, I'll post any results.

I just got a shield tablet and wanted to use the pen remove/return as a tasker trigger for something else. Please, could you tell me how to set that up as a trigger? I just haven't been able to find it.
Can't find the predictive text in the settings. Do you guys have that feature?
Well, this is pretty weird behaviour, and I spent a number of roll-backs of my phone suffering from same one, until I found the root cause of it. Go into Settings->Accessibility, and scroll to the bottom section, Services. Whenever you have some app there marked as ON - your keyboard gets limited in functionality, dunno why. I have 2 apps there, and I disabled both of them, to have wider options for my keyboard.
Hope it helps.

Wow, it worked. Thank you so much!
It seems like only some app will cause the problem. Optical Reader from Samsung will only disable my keyboard features, out of 6 apps.
UPDATE: I can now reorder my edge panels after disabling it.
OMG.. finally got my predictive text to work again. I turned off optical reader in accessibility and viola. It instantly returned!!! Thought I would never get it back!

Since I am using full screen mode on MIUI 11 system launcher, I have this issue with my GBoard in apps like WhatsApp, i write a response to message then I have to swipe right to hide keyboard and swipe again to finally go back. It really annoys me.
Swiftkey keyboard have this gesture but I didn't get used to it. Swiftkey is not effective compared to GBoard I think.
I also tried the GMD Gestures but couldn't assign Gestures on system apps.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, Android does it in general, to swipe back you first hide the keyboard. Maybe I'm wrong though
