is there any custom roms for this build expect MIUI ??
I have tried all of them RR ,cyanogenmod 12,13,14 nothing works on this build have anyone tried other custom roms?
Those ROMs should work regardless of your build. I have a European G7-L01 and I'm running Lineage and it's stable.

I have tried everything thing every time i tried to flash a rom it gave me errors
Is that a root thing ?? Your device have to be rooted or not because i flashed a twrp recovery without rooting it seems all fine i can backup restore but when it comes to flashing other ROMs excepted​ MIUI 8 every other rom give me errore

I am using TWRP V 2.8.7.0
Every time i try to flash a rom i came across this error (error executing updater binary in zip) and it failed
I had similar errors with v2, this is the TWRP I'm using:

Oh you completed installing the rom?
i guess first we need to install the kernal and then flash the rom..right?
this is the first time i am trying an official MIUI rom!

I don't know abt the kernel but I am loving this rom so far. No lags, the UI is perfect fit for the screen and loving some features like DND, IR etc..,
but the only thing missing is the gapps. We need to install separately i think. Loving the Internationalized weather widget too.
I get build prop problem, who else got it ?

you mean while installing?. It installed perfectly for me on TWRP 2.6.3.0

I was using SD v11.1 before and now installed this rom with no issues. Mine has supercid. I still don't understand what you meant abt build prop problem. Where did you get that error? While installing or while modifying the build prop in the rom?

I got that problem while installing ROM, i am in GPE 4.4
I'm also getting a status 7 getprop error in recovery.

Ok there can be different reasons for this.
1.May be a bad download. Try downloading it again.
2.May be you did not clean flash it by wiping cache,system,data. Try wiping everything except internal storage and try again.
3.May be the recovery you are using doesn't support installing this rom. Try TWRP 2.6.3.0 I got it installed perfectly with that.
4.And finally the firmware which you are on. If it is GPE firmware then try switching to sense before flashing this. I had hell lot of problems with GPE firmware like unlocking the bootloader, installing the roms etc..,
May be these are not the reasons for your problem but just give it a try and report back

You get status 7 error only in three cases.
1.You edited the updater script in the rom
2.You did not download the rom properly.
3.Mainly you are not using the right recovery. Try using TWRP 2.6.3.0 or higher may be.

ok before you re download just try installing it with TWRP 2.6.3.0 too because i faced some problems earlier with the latest TWRP. Just give a try

yep the same problem
after i install custom rom my phone restart to twrp recovery again again and again.........also i install another rom but same problam.........please helf...... how to fix...........................sorry for bad english
are your using the latest twrp? are your on stock marshmallow when trying to install custom ROM?

i just install cm 14.1 update after problem coming
flash the 3.0.2-5, do a clean flash of cm14.1, or downgrade to the stable release

Anyone here tried flashing roms on SD 615 variant? Flashed RR and lineage already and still not able to boot. Stuck on bootanimation then reboots itself. Wiped system data cache internal in TWRP before flashing. Did i miss something? Please heeeelp

I'm using SD615 variant .. ...
First make sure twrp is latest i.e 3.2.1 ..
secondly wipe everything except sd and otg
Try flashing some other rom ... i'd suggest aex or bootleggers ..
let me know what happens then

Tried aex still the same happened. Used 3.2.1 twrp. Have you successfully flashed those roms on yours? LOS AEX?

ASUS upgraded the firmware for our device recently ... follow this so you get on the latest bootloader (which i'm guessing you have unlocked)

Incomplete link man is that back2stock? What firmware you on before flashing roms? Firmware might be the issue here.

2018? Im on stock rom already flashed through stock recovery. I flashed those custom roms on latest 2196 firmware also tried that on older firmwares still no luck
ok then try this ... use adb sideload to install the rom .. google it its pretty easy to do .. then tell me what happens
i tried all custom roms and my phone was fully dead but i managed to get it alive again
here's the solution
after installing any custom rom
go to mount and mark on system
then go to file manager from setting in twrp
open system>etc>firmware then delete the first three folders, i have stock rom now i can't remember wat exactly it's name
enjoy your rom
First i unlocked the bootloader
Second i flashed twrp.
Thirdly i flashed ElementalX-G4-2.01 and thn supersu
Now the phone is not booting atall only black screen is there any resolution or did i make any wrong flash please let me know but still i can access twrp.
Btw My phone is running on Android 7.0 and twrp 3.2.1.0
I tried google and all still no resolution.
Now i tried custom roms as well still same not booting up atall.

i have tried now it seems working thanks. But custom rom having too many issues with diffrent kernel

Official ressurection remix is very good, or stock rom.

I am having a problem with flashing a new ROM to my phone.
I picked up some malware while browsing and I decided to go scorched earth and simply wipe and reload my OS (to a newer android version aswell)
the problem is that whenever I try flash the new rom with TWRP i get an error as follows:

I KNOW i have the correct rom type as I have loaded Lineage previously on my device. and it is most definitely land
Is there a way that I can fix this device type error?

No, I am still using the TWRP i flashed when I originally loaded Cyaonogen last year sometime, I then later used it to load Lineage with no problems.

I would suggest you to use the latest TWRP as most recent ROMs are treble based which cannot be flashed by the old TWRP. Which ROM are you trying to flash right now?
