With the latest 7.1.1 release of Nougat from ZTE that includes Tmo Wi-Fi calling. Is their any chance that the built in wifi calling baked into Android can be activated now? It didn't work on many models, but I know that the nexus/Pixels had it on the custom roms. All I've ever had (until now) were Tmobile versions of phones. Anybody have any knowledge as to which case this phone falls under?
This is a question you should ask in the LOS thread.

Now that WiFi calling has been brought to AOSP and is open source, does that mean that custom ROMs can now implement it or will it still be dependent on the firmware (radio/IMS subsystem)?

Does any custom rom currently support wifi calling please?
I would be interested to see this too. I'm going to flash one of the more popular ROMs in the coming weeks on my N-9005 (still stock due to a need for Knox) and see if it has wifi calling. I guess the 6.0 ROMs should have it baked in?
I am still on 6.0 TruePureMM and am considering updating to Stock 7.0.
For those already on 7.0, how do the modems for Cellular and Bluetooth compare with MM? Are you seeing a noticeable improvement? I am having some BT problems on 6.0 that I would like to clear up.
From my readings, it looks like all the Custom 7.1.x ROM (Lineage 14.1, etc) for the XT1575 are using the 6.0 Modems. Is that correct?
If Lenovo ever releases the source files for 7.x than will we see some Custom ROMs with all the Modem updates?

We already have the Nougat kernel source from the Style a couple months ago... and the binary blobs... developers are having issues integrating it, this all ROMs still require Marshmallow modem firmware.
The Bluetooth firmware on N is definitely better, no one anywhere has said anything different I have seen. As far as the modems go, there doesn't seem to be any improvement for CDMA or GSM, but VoLTE is improved especially for Verizon.
I've been away from the s7 forum for several months.
I have been using a Note 8 .... great phone.
I'm preparing my s7 for a family member.
Any quick suggestions on the best latest ROM for general use ...... I need all of AT&T calling features (wifi calling, volte )
Would love an AOSP based ROM but the best I can tell even in my absence they haven't been fixed yet on non Touchwiz roms.
Thanks
Hello,
for my S8 I found after a long search a ROM called "Hades", which was a mod of Samsung firmwares. Since Lineage & Co won't support VOLTE as far as I understood, I wondered if there is something similar for this device, meaning a custom (debloated) ROM which supports VOLTE?
It doesn't need to be the newest version of Android of course.

Searching in the S10 plus threads would be your best bet But most non stock based roms do not have support for volte could be different for exynos as I am used to qualcomm
Thanks for your reply.
My searches there led so far to nothing. I guess If I give that device a try, I stay with debloating it via adb and that's it.
Maybe in this section I'll find something. But I am still missing the great picture.

I believe the One UI 5.1 ROM port is right up your alley
