You try and sideload rom using twrp?
You may also be able to access internal/external storage while in twrp

Almost sounds like you flashed an incorrect or corrupt kernel .. I had this happen once before and fixed it by re-flashing a stock, rooted RRU back to the phone and starting over

Take a look at this link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/help/soft-bricked-im-dumb-t3378838
I've bricked my phone more than once.. You can also try booting into TWRP, erasing EVERYTHING, and reinstalling everything through your SD card (You must copy the ROM to your SD card after formatting the data and reboot your phone back to TWRP again) which has also worked for me. Honestly your best bet is to search around on here and do your homework before taking a swing at trying to fix the problem. You don't want to brick it to the point of no return which is possible, but honestly I've been modifying and flashing phones before Androids even hit the market and I've never had a permanent brick. There's always a way

Hi, so i put the rom zip file on my card and went into clockwordmod and wiped system cache etc.. So when i went to install from sd card there is no zip file, and i dont know what to do now. Please help
Someone please help my phone just stays at the motorola boot screen, and i needed to take out my battery to get my card out to put my backup nandroid on it. How would i go about restoring it?
Ugh no one can help!? I am pulling hair, i am so fustrated, i have no phone now
First of all ...patience young grasshoper...
Dx is nearly a legacy forum.
So you made a nandroid great.
Heres what i suggest.
Redownload and do a md5 checksum and make sure thevfilevis intact.
I always recommend chrome for dls.
Lets just assume your phone is bricked.
Novworries thanks to guys like sdshadow youre gonna be able to save your phone.
Heres a link to help you sbf your phone, because if your bootlooping its sbf time.
Heres his link Sd , I hope this is cool to repost.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Goawxdx_UBF4Y8lqzHYWf8Ha3yUcRK4faq0UWIlXLWA/mobilebasic?pli=1
Now on a side note. You say you have cwm, but did you instal bootstrap first?
I will assume so since you said you have a nsndroid.
Also after you sbf, dont forget to reformat your sd card WITH YOUR PHONE.
This is an important step that many do not do. True not all cards have issues, but for some reason sd cards play a lot nicer when formated by current phone/manufacturer. Example: I have been able to use my gs3 32gb card in my n2 no prob.
But when I went from one xl to gs3 I nearly lost most files. I reformated on pc
After saving kept habing issues.
I used the phone, never happened again.
Lmk ill try n help best I can but keep 8t in the thread please.

Ok, I did something really really stupid....
I had CM loaded and used the latest TWRP. I was checking out Clockwork mod, and without even thinking I tried to clear the cache. Well, this locked up my phone and cleared out all my phone data. Odly enough, all my apps are still installed and settings but looks like the SDCARD data is gone and sound doesnt work.
I cannot copy anything to the phone and I need to somehow clear this up and get my phone rooted and functioning again. Ideas???
Thanks!

I have a backup of every cept for say a few pictures. So not worried about that. Just want to get my phone going and if that means reverting back to stock first, so be it. I just need things to be working soon.
Would clearing the cache with Clockwork while the ROM Was flashed with TWRP mess things up like this?
No you cleared more than that on accident..lol..well I would revert back to stock and go from there

Well, was able to boot to stock recovery, reset, boot to Clockwork and then push a Clockwork ROM to the device. I then was able to get in to my phone. All data appears to be there as well so that is cool. Odd and weird.

Hello, it seems as if my internal storage has unmounted/is missing the last thing I think I was doing before I encountered this problem was either installing a custom boot animation, or spoofing my devices model & Mac address. I tried restoring default Mac and other device information, and even running some commands in terminal emulator and nothing worked. Any help would be much appreciated.

You can solve most problems by simply flashing stock rom. You should probably get twrp installed on your sm-t350 to get nandroid backups.

So I made my nandroid backup, and after the backup was complete I tried to reboot to my device and it went straight back to recovery. I tried restoring the backup i just made but then upon trying to reboot, it said "No OS installed, are you sure you want to reboot?", I clicked yes, and instead of it going into a boot loop or booting to my device it went straight back into recovery. I used the TWRP file manager and all my files and my SD card is still present so no operating system clearly isnt true. got any suggestions?
Also i dont have access to my computer for the next couple of hours

Your files are not on the same partition as the OS. If twrp says you don't have an OS then you've wiped it. It will boot to recovery if you have no OS.
Install the stock firmware with odin.
Hello guys,
I ran the latest oxygen OS and TWRP recovery. Today I saw that the new official Oreo OTA is out so I downloaded the full zip and tried to dirty flash it in TWRP. It did not work out and i got an error, and people suggested to use twrp blu_spark for flashing the oreo build.
So I flashed twrp blu_spark in fastboot, booted into recovery and installed the oreo zip. Before I did that, TWRP always asked to type in my password to decrypt the files.
After flashing oreo my phone wouldn't boot into Android, it just stayed at a black screen while the LED was shining. I realized I had to **** up somewhere so I booted back into recovery, but TWRP doesn't ask for my password to decrypt my data and now everything in my internal storage has weird file names (which I suppose come from the decryption) and I don't know how I can decrypt my data again. I also flashed the normal TWRP but it didn't ask to decrypt my data either.
Can somebody please help me? I can't do anything at all at the moment and I don't want to wipe my system as I unfortunately don't have a backup (I have one, but that's a TWRP backup and in internal storage which is encrypted...).
Thank you so much in advance, you are my last hope
I think my problem is that I don't have a PIN setup in android, because it's actually bricked (had to flash the wrong oreo probably or so). Do you think TWRP will ask for a password again if I somehow manage to install the old oxygen os and setup a lock screen PIN again?
Same Issue here... Searching for a solution
I ended up wiping everything except internal storage. I then pushed the old oxygen os to the internal directory and flashed it (in hope it wouldn't change anything in my internal storage/sd card). Looks like I was wrong. After flashing it also apparently wiped my complete internal /sdcard.
All data gone. Nothing I can do now anyway. If somebody would have known a better way to decrypt my data again with a broken android, feel free to comment - feeling really bad now, so many photos etc. on it. At least learned my lession to always take a back up, but normally I'm super careful and not flashing anything that would wipe/brick something on my device. This freaking oreo update is making me crazy.

If you have broken your android/system like I (it didn't want to boot into the system anymore after flashing) I think there's almost no chance. Atleast my device is clean now and I can't do anything at all and my data is forever gone now. But I learned my lesson and you probably too - always take a backup.
I mean okay, after I thought about it it's not too bad as I didn't have a lot of important photos on it and I fortunately backed up my whatsapp to google drive before playing around so yeah, atleast a clean device now and will look for a nice oreo ROM.
If you think you can find a solution good luck, but I think the only way to get TWRP to decrypt the internal storage partition again is to set up the display lock in your ROM again - and if you have a bricked ROM and flashing a new one it will wipe /sdcard completely like in my case...

I don't think there's much chance. I was able to see all those weird filenames in internal storage when connected to my PC, but I could not copy or change files to internal storage. If this would have worked, there might be a chance to decrypt the data manually on your PC if you find how to do it/if it's even possible.
I seriously think there's no good solution for our problem. :/

All deleted now... I know that feel
So I wiped the whole device. Adb sideloaded the new rom. Working flawless.
Now installed Magisk 14.0 and device stuck at boot with blue light.
So the rooting is to blame... (In my case...)
So I adbd again the rom.zip and got it working again. But no root for now
Update: flashed Magisk beta v14.6 (1468) and now ist's working.

How did you flash magisk beta? in my case twrp says that my internal storage is 0
What I did was format not wipe.
ADB sideload rom.zip
Install latest beta from magisk.
So now I have a clean device with working root

Nice, data lost as in my case but clean device is great too atleast. ^^
f***, same happenned to me. I did a back-up with twrp before but i left it in my internal memory.
I do have a month old back up on my laptop. How can i push this over to the phone? Can i restore a backup from bootloader ??
I gotta try everything to save my data, too many important things for work on there. I was too ****ing eager to get oreo
I've done the exact same thing. Problem now is that TWRP isn't seeing anything on the phone, there is nothing there. So I can't root with Magisk or install custom recovery.
Edit...had to use blu_spark twrp instead

Not much chance to get back the data if you can't boot into android at all. You can wipe everything completely and then copy your old backup to your internal storage which will work again once wiped/decrypted. I haven't found a solution to save the data without wiping, I tried different twrp versions like the normal one or blu_spark but none asked to decrypt data and in my internal storage my files were left all encrypted with those weird long file names.
Are you trying to say that all my data is lost even tho I know decryption key? All I did was update to Android O and I had backup and TWRP is showing that my internal storage is full but the files are all encrypted it wont ask me for decryption key. What can I do

Exactly. That's the weird problem. If I'm right we had to **** up something badly so that TWRP doesn't even know that our internal storage is encrypted and displaying the (encrypted) files just how they are. The problem in my case was that I couldn't even copy the encrypted files from internal storage to my PC or moving files from my PC to my device. The whole partition was just locked, I couldn't do anything on it, neither adb push or whatever else. Tried different TWRP versions but none asked me to decrypt.
I think the mistake is that if you install a new OS version which is somehow not backward/dirty flash compatible (like in my case the new oreo update) your pin/pattern will get deleted and because of that TWRP does not ask you to decrypt as the ROM is telling that you don't have a password set up! But the problem is when you install a new ROM, it wipes /sdcard so the data is lost if you don't find a way to somehow decrypt your internal storage. :/
Really bad to know you can't do anything at all even tho you know your decryption key - I hope someone finds a solution. I for myself wiped because I don't have so much time to look for a solution.
I had Lineage OS installed on my pro3. It worked fine for a while.
But this morning, after the latest Lineage OS upgrade, the phone entered fastboot mode. And I could not find a way to boot it into Android.
So I went into TeamWin, wiped out everything. Now when I try to reboot from TeamWin, it says no OS.
I tried to connect it to a pc and use adb to upload the latest ROM. But adb says "no devices/emulators found", although I can see it from pc's device management and fastboot tool in pc.
What can I do now?
Thanks for any help.

OK. I can use ADB sideload to transfer rom from pc to the phone.
THanks
Sometimes this happens on some builds. Dunno why. Usually you'll be able to boot back into system after rebooting a couple of times. Eventually the problem gets fixed in the next release. My advice: stop updating so much. Stay on a stable build and wait for feedback on the build before updating.
You mount the phone in TWRP by connecting it to your PC via cable. You can then make a Nandroid backup and transfer it to your PC (and also restore it) from there. Then you can unzip it and extract photos and stuff from your PC.
I have the same problem. Today morning, I downloaded the new version of Lineage OS from the phone and press the button ''Install'' but now the phone doesn't boot or do anything.
I tried to make wipes of the data and system and now I have no system anymore, moreover, I can't push any file to the phone to flash a new ROM, my PC gives me an error message like ''It's not possible to copy the file. The device stopped working or shuted down.'' (it's a simple translation from spanish, I don't know the actual message in english).
I've just tried to push files using fastboot but it gives me also errors, if you could help me to make this phone works again, I would be really pleased with you.

Hi Andrew, first of all, thank you for your answer.
But I have already installed the last version of TWRP and when I select mount and enable MTP it doesn't happen anything.
