Whats your budget? Are you going to order from a chinese shop or locally?
I think there are better options than these 2 phones. And this is like the worst period of time to buy urself a new phone. I would wait one more month to see the new arrivals.
Redmi note 4x 4g ram also seems pretty decent for its price range.

and also i thought:i dont need a new phone, just a powerful one with good battery, and i found this phone after 20days of searching
Alright so you want battery performance + speed that can pay off the money spent for the next 2 years atleast.
So you should aim for phones with:
1)4gb ram atleast
2) 14mm Soc or less so your battery doesnt drain fast.
Redmi pro has 3gb ram, an outdated soc and you will notice bat issues so i would avoid it.
Le max 2 is more of a jack of all trades, good battery, decent camera, good ram and soc. I would totally buy it over redmi pro. I think there is also better support for le max 2(xda..) so i think that it would be a better choice here. Also b20 band.
And finally there is rn4x. If i were you i would get rn4x. I prefer battery over performance. Just get the 4gb ram version. Last time i saw i think it was gearbest that sold it at a reasonable price.
So for 200 bucks i would go Rn4X> Le max2>rest

Rn4x has 4k mah bat with soc 625 and it will result in a monstrous battery. I feel that you wont be dissapointed. But i would still go for the 4gb ram version. You can also add SD slot, it has audio jack and its size is more affordable(5.5 to 5.7) compared to le max 2.

OK, i've been looking phones for days and 3 days ago i ordered a Galaxy s4 on Bestbuy for 500 $ ( tax included ).
I was going to buy a factory international unlocked verison on amazon for 350 $ ish , but i saw some bad reviews ( some say it's fake, some say it's refurbished ) and i decided rather just buy from bestbuy but it's been THREE days !!! they havent ship my phone yet.
Do you guys think i should just cancel the order and buy one from amazon or ebay for 350$, but i think those factory unlocked version doesn't have warranty at all !!
I need help !!
s4 its good phone u will enjoy:thumbup: and I always buy international version cos u get updates direct from samsung not from crappie networks

If possible I would say buy a Nexus 5. The S4 is on a slower cpu, and I doubt we will get anything past Android L. The Nexus 5 is a strong device for the price, plus you do get months faster updates. You will probably get a few more updates over the S4. Both have comparable on-screen times despite a slight advantage for the S4. But you can swap out the battery for say a Zerolemon which would give a clear advantage over the Nexus 5. The Nexus 5 should have android L before December. All in all, I'd say go for the newer Nexus 5 for the Snapdragon 800's advantage in raw horsepower for games and general use.
When it comes down to it though go with your gut feeling and what is more important to you.

How does 300mhz fast help.
"If someone helps, never forget to hit thanks ? "
Actually it's an extra 1600mhz total plus an upgraded gpu for better graphical performance, for a lower price. Plus in white it's sexy. I wish I would have gotten a Nexus 5 over the S4, but I was in need of a new phone.

Show me..all i can see is 2.3 vs 1.9 quad core.
Are you saying 400 for each core? :/ and thus 1600 difference?
21% times faster it is. Just that. I cant see how 1.9*121% make a difference.
And then what about the i9500? It has Octacore processor? Will you say it has 1.6*8? Lol.
And please dont forget the camera.

There's 4 cores that means 400mhz per core. Therefore it's an increase of 1600mhz.
Also since the chips are both 28nm and on the same architecture, you can compare the mhz. You can't compare the Exynos soc to a Snapdragon based chip because it's on a different architecture. It's like Amd vs Intel if you know those two.
Both cameras take good pictures. Not a huge difference between the two.

But still the aggregate increase remains 21%.
Maths aint that tough brother. we are talking the same thing.
21% faster with no ext mem support, no IR blaster and tons of other features go missing. And still the wide acceptance and reputation of the S4 stands strong.
Plus here in India the S5 is almost the same price of a nexus 32gb. Why would one go for a "nexus" in that case too.
Plus Why not buy the google play edition Galaxy S4?
Where is the difference now mate? Just a processor. Camera, build quality, vendor reputation.??
Plus a S4 is A S4. Comparing processing speeds of different processors is no harm. Why do people then compare apple with samsung? Apple is still a dual core with a 1gb ram. So why are they bashed for hardware. I havent seen an iphone lag. (exclude i4 i4s)
"If someone helps, never forget to hit thanks ? "
Stop guys, everyone comes here thinks "Damn, I came in a battlefield?" [emoji14]
Tastes are tastes, everyone of us has different tastes among all other... First, Nexus 5 is faster for CPU frequency and GPU is more powerful than S4 (talking about I9505 that beats i9500), S5 is faster than Nexus 5.
How many guys among you may use Nexus 5 at its higher CPU frequency? How many hours battery lasts?
In my opinion, I used a Nexus 5 (with CM11 as my S4) and found that I can't notice any speed difference in normal and heavy use between its 2.3GHz CPU and my S4 with this frequencies: 1 core 1.67GHz, 2/3/4 core 1.45GHz. Even in games, S4 can run any game for Android without problems.
What about Cameras? What about S4's AMOLED vs N5's LCD? What about display density? And IR blaster?
Nexus 5 is more brute force and developer-like, not the best for multimediality.
S4's cameras shoot definitely better, display is superior, has IR led built-in if you want to command your IR devices like televisions, air conditioners, set top boxes, xbox etc. And it's not all [emoji6]
I was almost selling my device to buy Oneplus One, but I can't because I love my S4 guys, it's too perfect in my opinion.
Don't do always and only the "run for GHz", think about everything else too
There are also tons of other things to say, but it's late here and I'm sleepy [emoji42]

I own my jiayu S3 since a long time. It's simply the best phone I have had so far. I love it, and I even bought another one for my wife. But with the applications updates and time passing, the 16 Gb of memory is simply not enough anymore for my usage.
I would like to find a replacement phone similar to my Jiayu with at least 32 Gb of memory and 4 Gb of ROM. The new phone should be dual sim (I work and live in two countries), compatible with European 4G, provide an extension for a memory card (that doesn't use a sim slot) and be easily rootable (I'm an IT engineer, so this is a must). The price should also be less then 300€ (my Jiayu S3 costed me less than 200€, with accessories and shipment included).
Is there any phone that can match this ? I just can't find any so far. I'm asking here because I suspect I'm not the only one wondering what one can use after a Jiayu S3.

It's a tough one. Been looking too for some upgrade after 2+ years of S3 use but there is always one or two things that you have to sacrifice - NFC, separate mSD slot, or sometimes B20 frequency on 4G network. For me, an upgrade from S3 would be a minimum of 4/64GB and 4000 mAh battery. I was looking for a larger screen also (Mi Max 2 with 6.44" is my favorite, although no NFC) and also some od Redmi Note series or some LeEco 5.7" models. Oh, and there is Lenovo P2 but it's not so much of an upgrade.
I like the idea of discussing next phone. We have something in common: our amazing JYS3 but, I think, also our belief in open source development. Next, we inevitably also focus on some different parameters (money, size, functionality, ...).
Personally, money is not the main obstacle, and, I would like a big 6.5" phone (and if needed at all : a 17" tablet) . Actually: for big screen Android experience I prefer a TV box (and dual boot LE for fun), so I probably do not need a tablet.
So, right now, I have hope for 'Huawei Honor Note 9' or 'Xiaomi Mi Mix 2' but -only- if some minimal, say, Google -style ROM can be built. If not then I would be equally happy with a big size madOS supported Mediatek device with excellent specs and support (just like my beloved JYS3s). Or, ideally: a OnePlus 6+ (6.5" phone).
For MadOS Rom, Superdragon mentioned perhaps getting the Vernee Apollo ...

Vernee Apollo looks OK. I want more than 6" next phone. But that's just my wish.
What do you guys think of the Ulefone T1, is it any good and will it be supported bij MAD or other team?
Umidigi S2 Pro?
I think next week I will be ordering Mi Max 2, after 2.5 years of Jiayu S3. It's still running fine so I will probably keep it as backup (and to test Oreo if it comes in near future , but I decided it's time for a bigger screen and much better battery with QC3, which is one of the principal reasons for upgrade...

Actually, I do not want that phone anymore. Maybe an Apollo 2 Vernee or a Leeco le Max3 (in the future)
A MTK x30 or a smartphone equal or superior Snapdragon 821
A colleague just told me about the XIAOMI Mi A1. It looks like a very good candidate to replace my Jiayu S3:
- nearly stock android, developed with Google partnership (the first Android One phone from Xiaomi), so it should get frequent updates. Android 8 Oreo planned for the end of the year
- made for the international market, not just for China
- dual sim. However the second SIM slot is also used for a memory card. What a silly trend ! But it has 64 GB of ROM, so this is a bit less of an issue
- 4 GB of RAM
- 5.5 inches 1920x1080, like the Jiayu S3
- snapdragon 625 2Ghz
- gpu Adreno 506
- 3080mah battery
- cheap, less than 240$ (200€)

Why did you change your mind?
Those two phones dont look as good as the Umidigi S2 Pro in my opinion.
And slightly better specs dont care to me, am not going to play heavy games.
Personally I've moved from Mediatek devices, got a Le Max 2 and it's a big step camera wise. Mediatek devices promise a lot but these Chinese companies fail to deliver on the specs. They keep bragging about the image sensor because they know they're not going to optimize the image quality.
Outside of MAD there's not really any development going on for Mediatek devices, and Mediatek seems to have given up on high-performance SoCs (X30 was a big flop), so it'll be the boring octa-core A53s for next year. You can find decent Qualcomm devices for the same price, and you'll get custom roms.

Ok so I have le s3 x522 USA variant. The ports for linage are really good no camera issues what so ever. Fingerprint is perfect and there's a miui 9 port out right now that's perfect. Will work on any s3 or any le 2 phone. Le s3 is a very good phone smaller and lighter than x820. Camera is alright not as good as le max 2 but pretty close. There is a lot of development for le s3 le 2. Just check in le 2 forums that's where s3 and le 2 have there development.
AFAIK the SD652 has good battery life. I would go for 4/64 option if that even exists.
Heyyo, definitely the LeEco Le S3. The LeEco Le 2 doesn't have a custom ROM community
Why not try Xiaomi? Redmi note 4 5.5 inch (sd625) or Redmi 4X 5.5 inch 32Gb(sd625), daily use is good and battery is 2 days or more. I find performance for daily tasks sd625 phone its not much different to sd820/821 maybe except heavy games.
I'm not much into multitasking but do play heavy games on phones. I have a 32 GB memory card with all the necessary files in it, will only use internal memory for apps only(god bless the makers for including a dedicated SD card slot?). So the main question is will 4gb/64gb variant will be a good option for the likes of me or the 3gb/32 variant will be enough?
if you planing to use the phone as long term investment then buy 4gb/64 ..bit more future proofing i think
If your current SD card is not even 50 percent full, go for the 3GB variant. But if it isn't, I suggest you go for the 64GB. It depends on the use and only you know how you will use it.

There is no news about it. I think it will have a Snaodragon 660. Always Asus phones had higher RAM version with a better processor. Also, they willl have tough competition from the upcoming Xiaomi Mi A2 which has a Snapdragon 660. So most probably, it will have.

It'll be awesome if it has Snapdragon 660 at a budget of ₹15k?. Surely will buy that variant if it comes with Snapdragon 660, I mean what else does one want at 15k. Upcoming Xiaomi Mi A2 will be having a tough competition as the battery in that device stands no where near to Asus Zenfone Max Pro.

Yes. Still it has got a better camera and USB Type-C and Android One support.
Snapdragon 660 will have 2.2 GHz top clock speed compared with 1.8 of 636. And also it has Vulkan API support, if you are a pro gamer.
Also what updated specs can we expect if any apart from SD 855 processor from the original Mi Mix 3 ?

Q1 2019 I hope ...
The only new specs we can be reasonably sure of are that it'll have a separate modem chip, multiple large antenna modules, shorter battery life, and a weak (if any) 5G signal inside buildings.

The processor will consume less, but overall I suspect it'll be significantly shorter because of the extra 5G hardware required, it may also possibly be a smaller battery to accommodate the 5G space requirements.
Besides the guess 5G will consume more power.
I am not completely in the picture what else will be possible with 5G.
Can I use it for something like "near communication" (saw a video by xiaomi connecting with a vacuum robot)?
And even more important!
The 5G standard will maybe finalized in 2019 or 2020 ...
How likely is it I only get rudimentary support for the "final commercial 5G network"?
Also read somewhere the battery will be upgraded since the cnc parts have bigger recess... But can't find my source right now ...
Edit: I also read the mix 3 only features 3200mAh? ... Instead of 4000mAh?
Thought I'd give y'all my wishlist of what specs get bumped with the 5G version:-
UFS 3.0
Battery bumped up to at least 3,500mah
8gb RAM as the base version, no 6gb
USB 3.1 if not already with the Mix 3
(GSMArena reports the current Mix 3 as 1.0 not sure how accurate that is)
Stereo speakers would be nice to add the the immersion of a full screen display
However, as I said the above is just a wishlist unfortunately & I do believe it's very possible we'll get the Snapdragon 855 & that's it.
Going to wait and see if the sd855 is worth the extra price increase, otherwise ill just buy the sd845 version which will probably be on sale at that point
