This might not be the answer your looking for but i'll give it a shot anyway. There is this that charges your N1 and your spare battery.

Well its half of what google is charging for their dock (obviously). I have read a ton of reviews on both devices and you can't go wrong with either one. One pro is that it has a much bigger lip to hold your phone in. One con is that you can't hook it up to a speaker system like the google one can, at least thats what i've been told. I'm ordering the google dock later this week but if I was in your situation, i'd probably go with the one on ebay. I hope this helps.

Yeah the google dock only charges the battery in your phone. Judging by your second statement, the non-google charger is the way to go. Let us know how it works out for you, i've heard nothing but good things about it.

i will man thanks
I dont have an EVO, but I saw this on CL
http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/mob/2241065529.html
If your reading this then you must have an EVO. And if you do you already know the battery life is the worst!!! I dies in about 4 or 5 hrs without even using it. Yea mine did that too.....at first.
First you have to root your phone. If your not rooted i can do that too. For extra of course! Then once i drop my addition on your phone you'll have a battery that lasts all day. You think im joking right? Look at the pictures.
**The first pic is of the screen i root your phone on!!**
**The second picture shows at the top when i last plugged my phone in....YES that DOES say over 16 HOURS since i last charged my phone!!! Dont believe me I'll show you on my own phone!!!
**The third is of the wifi screen your gonna use...you can use the internet off your phone on a laptop, ipad or whatever....
**The fourth pic is of me deleting the crap sprint apps wasting memory on my phone!!
....And yes i can make it happen on yours!! By the way I've got many more tricks i can show you if your interested...changing ROMs/operating systems & the whole 9 yards!!
Ok here's a quick off the top of my head list of things I can do. Hopefully I don't forget anything.
1. Root the phone. <<--You cant do anything w/o this $15
2. Do a full Nand unlock. You cant do wifi unless the security/ NAND is unlocked. <<--$5
3. WiFi tether. Can make the phone a hotspot so you dont have to pay sprint for it. Sprint charges $10 a month. <<-- Hit me with $10 and its yours. Dont pay sprint $10 a month
4. Change the way the phone looks. Colors, functions, home screens...everything
5. Change to the ROM of your choice. Like different operating systems. <<--#4 & #5 go together im flexible on this. Make me an offer
6. Change the kernel. Improve performance & battery functions. <<--$10 this is what makes your battery last wayyyyyy longer
7. Set processor speed. Overclock = make it faster. Underclock = slow things down...better battery life. <<--You either get #6 or #7 not both.
8. Backup all your contacts & apps forever & delete sprint apps <--$5 this is easy
9. Backup your entire system forever. <<--$5 this is easy
10. Show you how to get paid apps for free. <<--$5
I can also do any new android phone. Tmobile mytouch 4g's, Samsung EPIC's, Droid's and a bunch more....
I know I'm forgetting something. Email me when your ready. It goes straight to my phone. I'll answer immediately.
Damn lmao what a joke.. ...
Swyped from a galaxy far far away......
Wow what a rip off.
Everything he describes is just normal rooting and flashing. Takes an hour to do. Sounds like he just installs sprintlovers and netarchy and charges you out the ass

Yea, I can't say I haven't thought of making an ad myself. If people are to lazy to Google something or feel like this is too hard, why not make a few dollars off of them?
I don't see anything wrong. He's just charging for labor and believe it or not but some people don't want to learn how to do it themselves. You have people who go to car washes in the summer because they are too lazy to do it themselves. You have fast food joints for people too lazy to fix themselves a meal.
That's life. The point I'm trying to make is people don't have time.
last summer i made thousands under the table rooting/unlocking phones for $30 a pop.

nope, i had a no refund policy, even if their phone bricked.
I'm too lazy to do an ad. I thought about it but don't want to have to deal with the people complaining. The best thing if you are going to do it is to meet them somewhere and fix it instead of having them come over your place (retarded idea).
I do this myself... I've made over $100 on a 2-3 span of doing this. My ad is old now and expired, haven't started a new one. Old customers still refer people to me though
I see nothing wrong with this at all, and have been contemplating putting an ad up as a matter of fact. I'm out of work for a few months due to medical reasons, and could definitely use a little extra cash. I'd root evo's all day long for 25 to 30 bucks each. If someone wants their phone rooted for things like tethering and what not, but doesn't have the know-how or the interest in learning, but is willing to spend a little cash to have it done, I see nothing wrong with that at all. They would likely be the one's searching craigslist for something specific like that, which obviously means they are willing to pay for it. I think this thread motivated me even more to do it. I have all the time in the world these days.
Yea I kind dont see it being wrong, you're spending and effort = money. Otherwise the EVO owner would not know about it.

No insurance on the phone? I was going to say get a replacement screen on ebay but I just checked the prices and my god its not worth it.
Would probably be worth keeping it. Parts prices will fall in the next few months and could replace the screen pretty cheaply if you hold on to it.
Why did you not ask this question in the other thread you started?

which is not,

of course it's broke.
anyway..
just wait for the parts price down,

I get that, but I posted late at night and got up the next morning to a lynch mob, its not like I abandoned the thread. I claimed it as lost, It fell off on a very busy road and I wasnt to keen on trying to stop traffic to get it. On the way home it had worked its way closer to the side of the road and traffic was a lot lighter so I decided to venture out (mainly just to see if my SD made it). I had already made the claim though as lost, since I didnt plan on trying to retrieve the phone.

UPDATE 2: So I've decided to move this to the Ouya subReddit Wiki http://www.reddit.com/r/ouya/wiki/pricing_chart Everyone is invited to help catch everything up!
I got annoyed with having no central access to prices on anything in the discover store so I created a public Google Spreadsheet. As I was hesitant to make it publicly editable I would like to invite anyone who is interested in helping me with this to be a collaborator.
If anyone has ideas on a better way to do this or just a better layout for the spreadsheet I'd love to hear as I'm really just doing this as it goes right now.

It`s bad, that the only way to find out, how much something costs, is to buy it.
I hope they fix it in Time (for me is it Bug No. 2)

Thats new for me. My one lays since a few days on my Desk and i had no time to try it.
Thanks for this Information.
Good idea.
I have discovered my PH-1 has an unusual problem. If the phone is powered off for a day or two it loses a substantial amount of battery. I found this out when I switched back to my S8+ while on a trip and when I went to switch back to the PH-1 it was down to 60 something percent battery when it was at 100 percent when I powered it down.
This is new behavior as it wasn't doing this when I got it.
Thinking it was a fluke I repeated the exercise a few times with the same result. I reached out to Essential support but because I purchased the phone used (off Swappa) they told me to pee up a rope after making me jump through hoops for week.
I tried a hard reset, re-applying the latest patch, and re-flashing the latest Pie via fastboot. Nothing has worked which makes me believe it is a hardware issue.
Just for laughs I powered up my Nexus 5X which has been powered off for months and it was still at 100% battery.
Anyone have anything I can try? I really like this phone but now can't trust it.
I guess as this is the second time I got burned buying a used phone (first Google and now Essential) I will stop using Swappa. The manufactures will not help so you are on your own when you have issues. I realize the manufactures aren't obligated to help second hand device owners but it still sucks when you have issues not of your own making and they blow you off.
That sucks.
Ideally the seller should have been open enough in the description and have explained that this problem exists. I don't know how it works with Swappa as I never used it, but on eBay you can try and work it out with the seller or even open a case saying the phone is faulty. Your best bet is to contact the person who you bought it from and ask if they have an original proof of purchase, or if they're willing for you to send the phone back for a full refund.
It really sounds to me like a battery issue which would be a definite cause for an RMA, I've not seen anyone mention this problem before though.
Sent from my PH-1 using XDA Labs
I'm not sure the seller knew of the problem as it wasn't behaving like this when I first received it. I'm not really blaming either the seller or Swappa. No OEM is going to help you out if you purchased second hand. It's a potential pitfall that purchasers need to be aware of. I was aware of it and still got burned.
I would really like to find a way to resurrect this phone as I loved it. But I won't buy another one. Short of trying to replace the battery I just have run out of things to try.
One thing to try would be to see if it does it with no user installed applications whatsoever.
I'd factory reset it and uninstall everything and see if you still get the drain.
Given that it seems to happen when the phone is off I doubt it's an application, but it doesn't seem like you have many other options.

OEM might help if the device is still in warranty and whoever you bought it from has the original purchase receipt. Or they have a system like OnePlus where all you need is a screenshot of the order, doesn't matter who owns the actual device.
I try to buy phones in new condition, or at least make sure there's some warranty left plus a purchase receipt of some kind.
Unfortunately changing the battery isn't an option, Essential Phone has no spare parts available so I doubt you'd be able to find one for replacement. Your best bet is to contact the buyer and try to get a proof or purchase off them, or just live with the issue. If you have the phone as a daily driver it won't bother you too much right? Do you feel like the phone drains battery quickly when it's on as well? What kind of Screen on Time do you get with it?

I don't know if I can still contact the seller or not. I can talk to someone at Swappa and find out. That actually is a good idea and worth trying. I haven't run the phone as a daily driver since I discovered the issue because of all the testing Essential made me do and my own experimentation. It does seem to drain more quickly but at this stage I can't be sure.
I may just use it as a very fast and expensive mp3 player.
I just thought I would update this thread. Thanks to CamoGeko I decided to pursue the Swappa angle and contacted them and asked them if they would contact the seller on my behalf which they have done. I made clear that I was not accusing the seller and was just hoping for his assistance. I have heard from the seller and he may have some documentation and is checking into it. It may or may not fly with Essential but it is the only avenue I have left so why not give it a go.
I'll update the thread again once I have more information.

I had the same issue with the battery drain after turn off the phone. In my case, I waited until the empty battery.
After 8 hours without battery I plug the phone to the charger and the issue was gone. In my case was after the security update 5 july in Android 8.1.

Wait 8 hours without battery. After that plug the phone to charger, it's the only trick
Thanks. I will give that a shot. I left it on overnight and it lost 30% of its charge sitting there doing nothing. No radios were turned on.

No. I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm trying to drain is completely. I'm not using the phone so it's taking longer than I would like. It's weird, it drops 20-30% overnight but doesn't seem to drain excessively while powered on.
