Custom roms not working on my device! (J500FN) - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

I've been trying to install custom roms for my device, but none works for my, i've been trying on stock 5.1.1 but the rooms get stuck on boot loop and on stock 6.0.1 i get a green yellow faiding screen. I don't know why it happens, the device is rooted with supersu.

Do you wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache before installing the rom?

1. I recommend u do a FACTORY RESET (remember make a backup of ur data folders and SMS before do this process). You will recover the sound maybe. If that no works continue with next step.
2. Full wipe (You can do this in CUSTOM RECOVERY or STOCK RECOVERY).
3. Flash again android 4.4.2 stock rom :highfive:.

SM-T531 looks like bricked.

hi guys.
i recently installed a new unofficial rom that the starter @sub77 said it might be compatible with SM-T531 too.after installing it now when i try to flash anything using odin it says fail after recovery.img file.
i downloaded an official firmware two times and recently an unofficial one but error still exists.
i tryed a pit file that re-partition my device and after restart i'm saw no changes.
i have TWRP too but it can do anything and say's Internal Storage have 0 MB Space at all.
anyone can help please?
i'll be happy if someone give me another .pit file for this version of android i had.

I wouldnt flash firmware that "might" work on your device or is build for another rom.... you should try reinstalling drivers and flash stock rom thru odin, if it wont work try twrp 3.0.0 if it detects your storage....

Has this guy solved? Since he can boot into twrp where it should be the problem? I ve seen some posts and some step is missing... if twrp says 0mb storage, are u sure u selected the right storage?
thanks for helping.
TWRP recently couldn't access any storage on device and recently not coming up by pressing power + volume up + home

Oh dear ! Thats not a good sign.your motherboard is acting crazy.try flash twrp again in odin and try to flash rom without wipe cache or dalvik cache (just wipe system) and flash rom.
If same error ( invalid argument) shows again then in twrp advance wipe there is repair tab at bottom in twrp try to repair cache partition and try again.

Solution pls...
You mentioned a few posts back that you were flashing the MM firmwares after flashing the Nougat update. You can't do this because for some strange reason, Samsung change the bootloader as a part of the update that doesn't allow MM firmwares to be flashed. I would know because after the Nougat update, I found Stang5Litre and really wanted to try it but it would fail every time.

Need A little Help Please

ok so my kid was using my rooted (TWRP) TM350N and
had some problems playing a game. one of his friends
suggested a factory reset which he did and now all it
does it boot the the TWRP menu.
i downloaded and installed (using TWRP) the
JazzROM-SM-T350_7.1.1_v2.01.zip and it seemed
to install with no errors however it will still only
boot to the TWRP menu and i'm lost

From the TWRP menu, can you choose reboot and then download to get to where you can use Odin to flash a stock ROM?

edit: You might as well upgrade to nougat at the same time. Because your son reset the tablet, you are going to have to re-install everything anyway.

With the latest Odin, you need to extract the files from the zip and flash each of them. I'd try first with just the AP and BL files.
