Hi,
I have flashed back to a stock rom for my s7 edge via odin G935FXXU1DQBF_G935FTEL1DQB5_TEL with a complete wipe as recommend.
I flashed it according to the instructions for ODIN however after it tried to install apps it is now stuck in a black screen with the soft keys lit. The blue light is not on.
I cannot force it to turn off at all, I've tried every combination I know however it is stuck on. Odin did complete and it did show up with the samsung logo and starting install
apps but that was it.
Any ideas on what I can do? I would love to rip the battery but hassel .
Thankyou

I'm hoping someone might have a quick way to discharge the phone without opening it up and disconnecting the battery. Thats all it does and has been like that for the last 6 hours. LAst time I checked it had 68% battery
So, volume down + power does not work?
If enabled (and host authorized) try adb.
Otherwise just wait a couple of days... (calling the phone may speed it up if registered to a network)
Thanks mate. I can't seem to find it in device manager and I have tried any sort of recognition to acknowledge a device. Tried in MAC OSX, Fedora 22 and win10 and get nothing . Wish I could strap something to the port to try drain it but that will probably cause more bad then good.
Volume down + Power nothing and about every other combo as well.
So just a update. It took 9 hours but it went flat and I am restoring via smart switch.
Thank god , I'll probably just do that next time as I think that not wiping everything on the phone caused issues with the stock rom setting up. My bad but hopefully someone gets help from this in the future.
So on superman rom it took a few days but now its froze and i'm pretty sure i might have a hardware problem. I'm thinking I'll have to remain stock or I've got a hardware problem . Can't stand life without root/better battery savings but I had 52% battery on superstock rom so it's going to be a long night/day to wait for it to drain hopefully.

Ok so I feel like a complet dumb A$$!
I'm not a noob at these things but somehow (whilst under the influence) I managed to flash a att odim rom over top of the t-mobile vibrant! So now when it powers on it shows the att world phone splash, goes to black then loops.
I've tried just about everything I (already knew) and looked up here to get the frappin thing back into download mode, and it just keeps giving me (when the usb is plugged into the pc or battery charger) a spinny logo, followed by a grey (not green) battery icon, then black screen, then repeat.
Am I screwed?
I tried replacing the battery, doing the 3 button recovery, 3 button download, etc..
I'm sorry if this has been posted before but I'm disparate, and thought the gods of this board could help!
Open Odin and then hold the volume buttons and plug your usb cord into the phone. That should get you into download mode. Go find the .pit and .tar files for JFD and and flash them through Odin you should be safely back in your phone at that point.

Although since you flash an ATT rom into a tmobile phone your bootloader could be messed up. Im not actually sure about that at all though. Just seems possible and logical.

Yea - you may have messed the boot loader.
I would suggest buying a Jig.
A thought:
If you loaded a different brand ROM the vibrant way of entering download mode will not work anymore - maybe look up how that phone enters download and try?
Another thought -
Ive had it where I wasn't in "download mode" but Odin saw the ROM COM port. I flashed anyway (desperate) and it worked. (Id try the Jig first)
Find out how to go in download mode for att captivate..
Try those button methods because that's to only thing that'll work for you.
No jig can save you
Hey guys sorry for the late reply! Not long after I posted it I found the youtube bideo of the "jig", best $3 I've spent at radio shack!
Here are some pics..

Ok so the phone got locked wrong code ! I need to flash it ! What do I need and what should I do ? Sorry for such a newbie question but I am new to this and kinda nervous !
If you only entered a wrong code too many times, you don´t have to re-flash your phone. Nokia says on his website: If you your phone got locked, turn if off, wait 15 minutes and try it again. If this doesn´t help or if you really forgot your code, try a hardreset. This will delete all information a your phone(apps, music+videos etc), but it will also reset the code lock.

In case you are having trouble with your Windows Phone 7 handset a hard reset may be the last resort. This trick really helped me to fix a huge problem on my HTC Trophy. I had no WiFi connection while using 3G!!! If to turn 3G down, the WiFi works fine! But it’s not the option. Hard reset really fixed this problem. At one forum i found that hard reset fixed a problem with Nokia Lumia battery! Don’t forget that after hard reset you’ll get a phone like it was from the box ones!
1. Turn the phone off.
2. Hold BOTH volume Up and Down buttons and quickly press Power on button and hold volume buttons until you see such picture:

3. Now follow the instructions, press Volume Down and wait until your Windows Phone 7 is restored.

I hope I could help you
Hi! I have the Optimus 7 too, but when I try to reset it, nothing works. I tried holding both volume buttons+power but nothing happens for 30+ seconds. At first the LG logo shows up but it goes away after 2/3 seconds and nothing happens.
Also tried holding both volume buttons+power button+camera button, all it did was a cold boot and no restore =/
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I've probably used the LG Flash Tool 10 times the past week on both my home and work computer with no problems. Last night I flashed the KK bootloader and a stock 5.0.2 ROM (after tot'ing back to 4.4.2, rooting, etc).
It hangs at the LG logo and that's where I'm stuck. I tried going into Download Mode, but suddenly both of my computers won't see the phone and give me an error in Device Manager. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling the drivers as well. Why in the world would that happen unless somehow Download Mode was corrupted, possibly? But it goes into Download Mode fine, and appears to look right...
I've tried getting into recovery but can't. When it should load up TWRP (after telling the G2's "stock" recovery screen I do want to reset), I get the green spinning Android (not the red exclamation) for a second, then it tries to boot up.

Any advice would be appreciated as I've never run into this before.
So when the green Android popped up, I tried to hit a combination of the volume and power keys and WAS able to get into recovery. Unfortunately, it appears, somehow, TWRP was overwritten by the stock recovery. I have no idea how that could've happened. Or does stock recovery technically stay in place since this is "loki'd" and not actually unlocked? And if so, is there some way to get back to TWRP that I'm unaware of?
To add to the weirdness, when I plug it in to charge, it doesn't pull up the battery like it usually does when powered off, it just tries to boot up again...
If I could just get the computers to recognize it again...
Installing the LG PC Suite got my drivers to a point where it could recognize it while in Download Mode. MTP still didn't work, but that didn't matter for Download Mode. Not sure what happened, but at least I was able to flash it back again.
Missus's Note 3 suddenly displayed the attached screen, no way of getting out of it, can't get into recovery etc. Also, the flash always remains on.
Anyone else experience this problem? Is the phone a gunner?

Try pulling the battery. With the battery out hold the power button for 30 seconds, replace the battery and restart
Also could be some loose cables for the display. Take the back off the phone and check the connectors

Thanks. No connectors lose. tried the battery pull already.
Nah that doesn't look right, have you tried going to download mode and flashing a stock ROM via Odin? If you can't go into download mode or recovery then I think its better to visit Service Centre.
Remove battery it might work
Wipe data, cache and davlik cache. It worked me

He cant see a **** and cant go to Recovery Mode. Read First before u Post !
Try to Install a Stock Rom via Odin, or if u have CM Rom try to Flash a Update/Downgrade File
Thanks all. It seems the screen is now working, but doesn't respond to any touch commands. I'm going to try and reinstall stock firmware, but I think I might need to take it in and get the LCD replaced.
How did you fix it?
Howdy everyone...
OnePlus 7t Pro McLaren edition (International Edition **NOT T-MOBILE**)
Model: HD1913
Current Software Build: Oxygen OS 10.0.5.HD01AA (OTA update when I first unboxed).
I am having issues trying to return to stock. I rooted the phone with a combination of a couple guides found here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/7t-pro/how-to/10-0-3-patched-boot-image-oneplus-7t-pro-t3986351 and . I noticed after doing that I was missing the stock Oxygen apps and my build information was missing data. Not a huge deal, but I need to wipe the phone and start from scratch anyway, for other reasons. I decided to go back to stock if I have to redo everything anywhere.
First thing I tried, I got the stock firmwares (https://forum.xda-developers.com/7t-pro/how-to/oneplus-7t-pro-repo-oxygen-os-builds-t4003455). And this is where my issues started. My software build is weird... I have the HD1913, however my software build is HD01AA. Per that post, I should have HD01BA. I grabbed both of them for giggles, put them on my storage and booted into TWRP. Tried to flash the HD01AA (since that was what I have now), and it failed. Tried the other one, same issue. I'm getting a bunch of errors while trying to mount the system ("System unable to mount: invalid argument").
Second thing I tried, was to use the built in software update that OnePlus says to use (through the system update). It wouldn't install them (surprise).
Third attempt... Using the MsmDownloadTool (https://forum.xda-developers.com/7t-pro/how-to/op7tpro-unbrick-tool-to-restore-device-t4002909) I downloaded both versions cause I don't know which to use, and followed the instructions to get the phone into the mode. Turn the phone off, hold the vol up button and plug the cable in (very simple). It shows up connected in the software. Exactly 5 seconds later, the phone reboots and boots normally... I repeat this process aprox. 2.3 million more times. It does not matter what USB-C cable I use, the port on my computer, or how long I hold the buttons. The phone will boot into the download mode (or whatever it's called) show up as connected in MsmDownload and then reboot.
The phone works. I am still able to boot it up.... All I want to do is get this phone back to stock. I don't HAVE to, but now that it's fighting me, I have to beat it...

Okay - After sacrificing an iPhone to the Android God, I got it.
Instead of using the button combination to get into EDL Mode, I found an article that gave an adb command (adb reboot edl) to get to it. It did not reboot this time, and I was able to flash HD01BA to it, which matches what the phone should have...
