There's no UI. Just the effect has been ported. For verification check the system logs using logcat or matlog downloadable from PlayStore.

I tried it with miui rom with pre installed V4A+Dolby atom.
It woked with v4a but dolbi is not working.....but no problem....there was no use of dolbi.
Surprisingly it make speaker sound optimized very well...no cracked output at full sound.
If there will be a mod like this for custom roms....then the million dollar problem of custom ROMs will be solved.
And a uninstaller will be also good(request).

If you are talking about arkamys optimspeaker port, I have just tested it on two, the stock MIUI LP and a Custom ROM N, the later on which I failed. Hoping to get things fixed on Nougat soon. & Thanks. ?

I am, a bit sad for giving you a full working ROM. But i dont want to risk phone further as i flash my phone more than 70+ times within short span. I think a porter can do much on this i suppose. SO i urge Dev's to solve some Bug which i will be listing down.

its not pure aosp
based on aosp but not aosp anymore because already modified heavily. some code were borrowed from cm.
its dev also claim that this rom uses mostly clean code, no such dirty hacks like those in cm.

yeap its not pure aosp, modded by me according my preference. i can release pure aosp but it doesnt make any difference and btw no hacks are used in this rom.

Whats need:
1) Android 4.0.1 or High, On 2.3 no work don't try!
2) Remove some old libs and apps
-- 1. /system/lib/soundfx/ and remove libcyanogen-dsp.so (If you have here)
-- 2. /system/lib/soundfx/ and remove libbundlewrapper.so (If you have here)
-- 3. /system/app/ and remove DSPManager.apk (If you have here)
-- 4. /system/app/ and remove MusicFX.apk (If you have here)
3) Unpack all files from srsfiles_for_port_on_other_phone.zip to /system/. Or just flash zip pack. srsaudiofx.zip

Because u don't headphone, plug in headphone and u have enable srs wow and true bass

I tried fixing it myself, but I absolutely don't know what I'm doing. I tried replacing all libaudio.so's with the ones from a working CM11 rom, but that only caused a bootloop
Does anyone know where to find the original author's (Ivan) thread? I really can't wait for the next update...

The headphone boost is amazing.. No extra sound. Only bass. Awsomm.. This mod contains latest Dolby Digital Plus and Beats mod. This mod should work on any Sony devices that running Official Android 5.0.2/5.1.1 and 6.0.1 devices. And its working in Aosp 7.1 Sony...
So i thought to share it for you guys.. Please note that this is not my work. I am just sharing it with permission from the original developer... I just updated the zip file. It was %15-20 before, it is about %10-15 now to fix some sizzling&high bass problems.

Of course my phone is z4
Is there a way out?

Why you applied that on your Z4. This is Z5 forums..
Ask Z4 users.. you need the original mixer_paths.xml & mixer_paths_i2s.xml files for Z4.
/system/etc/mixer_paths.xml
/system/etc/mixer_paths_i2s.xml
