I'm sorry that you feel that way, as this was not my intention at all. Several of our MZP users speak Spanish and I have been helping them by translating. Also, I have been helping other users who were experiencing the same issues due to older zips that they had flashed in the past. They are dedicated loyal xda members and I have no intention of enticing anyone away.

OK - these tend to pop up everywhere and are generally just bored individuals trying to be "disruptive".
I'm reasonably convinced that your motives are rather more sincere. I didn't close the thread, after all. Feel free to add your link to the OP and we'll see how things go.

Because some new users just spam in the threads then. The purpose of it is so that new members get acquainted with the rules and don't spam.

Trust me... it doesn't work as it should... the will to spam is unbeatable...
Indeed, Spam is invincible... BTW, i have 13 post and still unable to post in dev section :S
To prevent spam, floods, trolls and threads like these on dev's area. Call it "learning time".

No. See what happened to a certain user. Spammed tanx........... everywhere, boom! BAN. Newcomers can make everyone's life easier by just not spamming and following rules. Spam anywhere, get an infraction. But dev forum is the most important forum, so to prevent devs ragequitting, a protection against newbies should be put in place. Life on xda is simple. Just follow rules and don't spam.

New to posting but not new to the site.
I've been using the dev threads now for a few months. I have been playing around with SD ROMs for my HD2 and this site is unquestionably brilliant. One of the ROMS I found works great. Two things, 1. a senior member posted that he was getting the same problem I had which I solved and wanted to help him. and 2. USB tethering isn't working in this ROM. Just wanted to ask. But can't help 1 and can't post a question for 2 to these really great developers because I haven't been here long enough...I have zero intention of spamming and will look for solutions to the tethering problem. I just want to help. So what do I need to do to become a safe and sane XDA member without offending anyone or spamming just to get past the 10 post barrier?

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to make a note of how this category thread compares to the rest. I have had plenty of android phones in the past, all being HTC. This is my first Motorola handset, and it is by far my favorite. The developers for this phone are gods among men! And yet I see more disrespect day-to-day in these threads than I do helpful comments regarding the development projects! XDA has long been my number one site for all development collaboration and needed help for the android platform, and never have I encountered so much flaming as in the Motorola ATRIX forums. I do not know if this is turning to be the century of the trolls, but I feel bad for the developers and programmers that have to deal with these put downs, even though they are putting out so much VOLUNTARY work for the community.
So, if you are reading this, let's try and think twice before posting on development threads. It is not the place for harassment, flaming, disrespect, or any hurtful suggestion, as is any other place.

We'd better to keep this thread here. I would also put it as sticky so anyone will know that IM (groups) here are not welcome. THIS IS DEFINITELY A FORUM.
Unfortunately we can see developers doing this, I personally don't get the point of it...
One may call out someone in hangouts for some personal reason but advertising these chats like crazy sounds really childish

One thing is a single developer to help a few guys beta testing her ROM/app over IM.
Another one is a whole group of users creating a parallel "IM thread".
But now I am thinking about, let's have that happen. The group will grow and be cluttered with all that social nonsensical stuff.
The group will collapse in a week or two with no devs being reachable there any more...

Watchout for their telegram group admins don't accept other opinions. They discriminate don't tolerate people and will ban you for your opinions. They have no mental capacity to have reasonable discussion about broblems they have.
There's definitely some unnecessary power tripping and putting people down of those who are trying to ask questions.
However, there are also a lot of people who don't do their own research through these forums looking for simple answers that they can find on their own. And then, when people do help them, they don't even say thanks.
I think Telegram may be preferred because XDA forces people to be respectful. And yet, on XDA, we still see waste and noise brought on by people who post irrelevant replies or ask questions that could have been answered with a simple search, or reading a few pages of the thread. This is frustrating. On Telegram, people can vent a little about this, but it does make the environment toxic. Can definitely be a WTF for those with questions that are being respectful.
I just wanted to follow progress in telegram group so I was rightfully mad since I couldn't get to the group for 2days - that's ridiculous. When I did they banned me for daring to question that. And another user who supported me too. No apology not even sympathy. And after they ban users they get even lower. Admins start to spam the group with big ridiculing gifs mocking and insulting them about how they banned someone, and some of their weaker minded sheeps join them. That's disgusting. This is BTW against their own rules. They are lowest of the low I have ever seen.
Thanks for saying it out loud, their telegram community is the most useless Rom community I've seen, they won't help you with anything yet they make fun of you.
