You need to disable S voice. Thats what you are opening when holding the home button. Either disable the "open s voice when holding home button" feature within the settinga of svoice or disable s voice app altogether..

Now i get this when i hold home but it takes ages.

Hi guys i would like to ask a question. I am Greek and google voice assistant supports Greek. I press the microphone icon on the right of the google search bar and i speak in my language.. The Google Assistant Home Button though, for some reason doesn't seem to support Greek although the google assistant language settings are changed to Greek and they should apply to both cases. What is happening?? Can someone help please..?

It's setup that way, you have to manually configure the setting for Button 5.
Go to settings > buttons.
The program will show two Button 5's:
Button 5 (Press and Hold) File Explorer
Button 5 {configure as needed}
That should get you going.

With the "official" AT&T WM6 ROM, the traditional PTT Fix doesn't work.

The Galaxy S4 had camera voice commands to take a picture.
I cannot find this feature in the S5. Does it exist? If so, how is it enabled?
It's in the camera app. Hit the settings button and it should be all the way down on the right. It says voice control.

Hmm...I've looked all thru the camera settings on mine and I don't have that voice command feature. Is it possible I need to enable a something in the system settings?
The settings scroll.... That stumped me for a while as well since it's not in the first page of settings.

When I had brought up the settings in the camera I couldn't see the voice command option. I didn't know the settings scroll...just scroll down and you will see it.
Hello, i was wondering if it possible to somehow make the home button function the same way as it does on a Galaxy S6.
By that I mean , if it is possible to launch the camera by double tapping on the home button EVEN when the screen is locked (like S6)
I've managed to install Home2shortcut which lets you customize what action double tapping the home button will occur (opening an app etc) but i won't work with locked screen.
So, please if anyone else wants this on their S5, do help :highfive: :good: :fingers-crossed: :victory:

Yep, I'm searching for the same thing. Double tap to camera even when locked! I think it's quite hard to do it.
For now I'm using 'all in one gestures' from gplay to long press home button to launch camera. It works pretty well, but still not from locked.
Giving this thread a bump as I am looking for the same feature.
Home2shortcut is really good, except when the screen is locked or turned off, unlike the S6.

I noticed when you go into Activities through Action Launcher or Nova Launcher, you see a list of activities that can be launched which are shortcuts in the application. Bixby Voice has the same even on models which haven't even been enabled for Voice.
Using this I was able to set-up Bixby Voice wake-up word and lockscreen password after changing the language from Korean to English US. I am able to see my score and find in Recents App that Bixby Voice is in fact opened which you cannot do from opening it manually by trying to click on it within Settings or elsewhere.
I just need to find out how to enable Bixby Voice completely doing this. There must be a way.

I have actually gotten to the Bixby voice assistant screen with Bixby button showing at the bottom on a translucent screen after making Bixby Home a pop-up window using an activity to launch it, as it was hidden behind.
You all are going to be so disappointed when you actually get it working.
Maybe not a hack...but I do not see a way to have my G6 function just like my G5 did.
I use a google voice search icon to do a 1 button touch voice search/query to instantly use. I am not sure if this was possible on my G5 because I originally set it up when it was running Marshmallow.

And when I show app info.....it shows as google app and I can not find this on my G6.
Basically, I would like a button toggle on my nav bar to get to this point in one touch....and not have hey google activated.
Can anyone tell me how to do this with the G6 Vs988. I also have always used nova launcher with this process in tact.

If you have Oreo installed, long press google app icon and then long press again the second option
