Is rooting installing custom recovery, ROM, kernal ,mod etc void redmi 3s warranty...?
Sent from my Redmi 3S using Tapatalk
Unlocking your bootloader doesn't void your warranty but once you install a custom ROM it does.

Hey guys. I am having troubles with my phones ear piece so I need to take it in for warranty but I am wondering if I need to flash the Stock Bell ROM before I hand it in. Is this needed? Will it VOID my warranty if I have a costum ROM installed....
Please help..
Thanks
Yes it will void your warranty...
Sent from my G2 running Cyanogenmod 7.
You will need to flash the stock ROM, S-On, unroot. Otherwise they will know the second they go into bootloader that you are rooted and S-Off, which voids your warranty. They will be looking for any reason to charge you for the repair. So any sign of root or a custom ROM will be bad news for you.
Instructions for returning to stock are here:

Hi all,
is there any possibility to downgrade s4 firmware from 4.4.2 to 4.3 or 4.2.2? Even activating knox counter.
i need to reflash on my s4 gt-i9505 the non contain knox-bootloader firmware. Is there any possibility?
Thanks to all you
From what I understand, the bootloader part (as downgrade from 4.3/4.4 to 4.2) is impossible, but firmware, I think it can be done, but maybe need custom CWM flashable one
Once you have the Knox bootloader, there is no going back.
Flashing other non official ROMS and downgrading is possible, but it will all trigger the KNOX security flag. Make sure the ROMs you are flashing has the KNOX bootloader, or is compatible with the KNOX bootloader, or you will lose a lot of functions.
could u pls link it to me?

I read somewhere that flashing custom rom or custom kernel trips knox? Is this true?
Ive tried searching but couldnt find no real answer to my question.
Yes that will trip the KNOX counter...
KNOX flag will be tripped if you flash custom kernel or recovery. ROM installation may or may not trip it, depends on the ROM and how you flash it.
So what is the point of not trying to trip knox while rooting if custom roms and kernels trip knox anyways?
i have bought my micromax canvas2 colors a120 two month ago .
i have install kitkat 4.4.2 with doing cwm. is my warranty void if yes how can i recover my phone to its original state without loosing my warranty.
Also are there any downsides in unlocking the bootloader? Can everything be reverted later on? If warranty is temporarily void, can it be restored later?
Alot of doubts and questions but I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thankyou!
Technically,
when you unlock the bootloader, it's not gonna be under warranty anymore. So basically it is like you unlocked the bootloader, flashed as many roms/kernels you could and than when your mind is set to again use MIUI and get the warranty, you flash latest MIUI and relock the bootloader.
