Pls! Help needed to trouble shoot disconnecting of 5Ghz wifi !!! - Droid Turbo 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello to all! Mine is a XT1581. When connected to 5Ghz wifi, the device gets access to Internet for only seconds to miniutes, then automatically disconnects wifi, and after a while, it re-connects and drops wifi again, hence the loop.
A tricky part is that, if I manually lower the 5Ghz link speed on my router, say limited to 130Mbps or 173Mbps, the phone connects to wifi and works fine. Once the link speed is up to 300Mbps or even 866Mbps on a AC router, the problem can be easily reproduced.
any help? thanks in advance!

G1 Can't hold my WIFI connection

Hi Guys
My G1's having trouble holding my WiFi connection. I have a Qwest DSL connection and, although the phone remains connected to WIFI, pages stop loading. The connection works but seems like it gets timed out. It's weird b'cos it's just MY WiFi connection this keeps happening on. The phone holds on to connections at work and to even my friends DSL.
Anyone else have this problem?
Any input would be appreciated
Cheers
Jaro
Could be your phone, could be your wireless router... Would need more information to diagnose.
it's going to be ur wireless router i have the linksys N and it dose not see it i put up a linksys B router works fine
Does your screen timeout by any chance?
I believe the wifi shuts off when the screen times out to perserve battery.

AES WiFi encryption problems

I have a D-Link DIR-655 802.11n router. Encryption set to AES/WPA2. The DX will connect just fine, but after a few minutes of web browsing it will stop transmitting data. I remaing connected to the Wifi signal but no data is passing and web pages go to 'page not found'. If I toggle WiFi off then on again, I get a few minutes of browsing then the same issue. No such issue on laptop or desktop connected to same router.
I read elsewhere that the DX may have issue with AES or just the 802.11n band in general. Anyone else found a solution or can shed light on this?

Download the WiFi Analyzer app and make sure your router is on a channel that no other router is interfering with.

[Q] Wifi Connection droppinf ater 3 min (on s4) - TP-Link WR740N

hi, i have galaxy s4. My wifi gets connected to wifi router . I am able to download only for 20-30 sec but after that it stops downloading. Even after the downloading stops i am able to surf websites. It means that my connection is not dropping it is only restricting me download.
I have TP-Link 150Mbps Wireless N Router (TL-WR740N) wifi router.
Please help it is very frustrating
.
Use a static IP in the connection settings on the phone rather than DHCP. If that doesn't work, play around with the settings on the router (channels/etc), and if you're still having problems try updating the router firmware.

[Q] Wifi Not working

Hi,
I have a strange issue with my sgh-i337m. I am currently in India. The issue is with wifi. Here is the issue.
1. I can see all the AP's like other mobiles. I can connect to them and access internet only when the signal strength is full.
If the signal strength comes to fair, the wifi is still connected but i cannot access the internet. If i switch wifi off and then on, i can see the wifi AP with 2bars out of 4, but not able to connect. It shows Saved Secured.
Please help

Zenpad 10 Z300C dropping internet connection but remaining connected to access point

I have a new Z300C which is connected to a wireless access point a few feet away. While the connection to the access point seems stable (i.e. it always shows as "Connected" in wifi settings"), internet connectivity is lost if the tablet is left idle for a few hours. If I turn wifi off/on in wifi settings internet access is restored immediately (i.e. as soon as the tablet re-connects to the access point). There doesn't seem to be a problem with the access point, as my LG G4 phone is connected to the same one, and that never loses internet access while connected to it.
Any ideas??
I had the same problem with my Zenpad 10 as well as various devices including two laptops. They showed to have Internet access but I didn't actually have access to the Internet. The Google Fiber repair guy said it was due to the WiFi router having both the 2 GHz and 5 Ghz wavelengths being on the same SSID. After he separated them into two aliases the problem ceased, but the Zenpad still easily loses the WiFi connection., which I'm afraid is due to deficient WiFi radio on the device. It had the problem with a different WiFi router before I got Google Fiber.
My router has separate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5GHz, so it looks like the dodgy radio on the Zenpad might be the issue
