Hi
I'd appreciate if anyone could help me with this.
I received a new yd201 last week, and I haven't been able to connect the wifi. It doesn't detect my wifi signal even if I'm touching the router with my left hand when trying. I've tried all the tricks I could find in the internet in order to solve this: change settings, (including developer settings), hard resets... but nothing changed.
There are about 15 wifi signals I can see with any device at home, but Yotaphone only shows 1, and it's my neighbour's.
Thanks
If it is possible you have to understand difference between WiFi of your neighbor and your. It is possible changing region in the wifi advanced menu change your situation... or changing in the same menu the frequency band of WiFi.
Did you look in the extended wifi settings if the wifi frequency is set to automatic?
It could be set on 2,4 Gz or 5 Ghz.
Some Routers only have 2,4 Ghz.
You can try putting 2,4
It is possible the router of your neighbor is only 2.4
I have tried every trick there is available in internet.
It shows only 5 Ghz channels, no matter which otion is selected in the advanced settings menu. If I select 2.4 Ghz no chanel appears ever.
Wrong Radio Rom installed? (f.i. 2.3-2.4 GHz is 4G in Asia, HK-Radio-Rom installed?)
In most other countries
YD201 should work with RU-Radio
YD206 should work with CN-Radio
You are shure, that your Yotaphone is YD201? IMEI is 356...?

I'm pretty sure the RU/CN radio has nothing to do with this problem
I'm using a YD206 with RU-Radio and I can use wifi/bluetooth/2G/3G/4G all fine.

Hello.
I have tested different roms, different Gen 2 versions (also gen1 and gen3 firmwares) and always I have the same problem: In the place where I live (Traslasierra, Córdoba, Argentina) I cannot connect to any mobile network operator except one: Movistar.
When I go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Search Networks, only detects one of the 3 available in this area (Movistar, Claro and Personal). And precisely the one with the weakest signal. I have tested 3 different cels to detect networks and all of them show me the 3 avaliable operators, but I cannot get the same result with this ZTE Blade.
When I travel to the closer city, it detects all the operators without a problem with a very high radio signal and all of them work flawlessly in 2G/3G and also access data over mobile network. But when I return home, 15 km away from the city, I have strong signal of all the operators with other cells but the Blade only detects the weakest operator.
I think is not a problem with the reception of the signal because when I am in the city all it works perfect. Maybe is a problem of the Operator's antennas, that they don't transmit any header or data and then the Blade doesn't recognize them.
Of course, the mobile is unlocked (free) and I have tested CM 7 (different builds), Elite roms and ZTE 2.3.5 Stock without success: always the same behavior.
I wonder if could be an issue with the radio, but this is updated in the last firmware, doesn't it? Now I am using gen2 v10 custom. Should I try another version? And what about the Baseband? Is the baseband the identifier of the radio version actually using? In About phone says it is P729BB01 with the CM 7 11152011 NIGHTLY Blade, Build GWK74 and Kernel 2.6.35.7-perf+.
Anybody can help me or give me any idea?
Thank you very much
Anybody knows if the radio version changes with every firmware version and if the bugfixes are listed in any place?
Nobody had a similar issue?
Thanks
Anybody knows if there is any new radio update since TPT Gen2 v10 that is the one I am using now?
My Galaxy S4 LTE aka I9505, running 4.4.2 stock rom, has a very weak wifi reception. I have to go very near, like meters away from the router, in order to get signals. While other phones and tablets can even detect and connect inside the room, which is second floor. Tried all sorts of wifi fix apps, flashed the relevant modem and flashed many different 4.4.2 official stock roms but no luck at all. Also, changing the router settings e.g. SSID name, WPA/WPA2, AES, channels, ghz, doesn't seem working also.
Baseband version: I9505XXUFNBE
The previous user told me the wifi reception only turned weak after he rooted the phone, and it might be a kernel's problem in stead of hardware. May I know is there any kernel that can solve this problem? Can someone with I9505 that has strong wifi reception show me what kernel him/her is using?
A million thanks in advance.
Hello all,
I searched everywhere but I couldn't find a straight answer for this issue. Does this phone support wireless ( Wi-Fi ) on the 5 GHz band ?
I don't care if it is 802.11n or 802.11ac standard but does it detect a wireless router running on the 5 GHz frequencies ?
Anybody who has a dual band router can test this out and see if the 5 GHz network is also seen or not.
I have a router which only works on 5 GHz ( single band ) so I want to buy this phone but I want to know if it will work otherwise I will look for something else.
Thank you in advance !!!
Nobody has 5 GHz wireless network near them to check ?

You mean it's not working ? Can't see 5 GHz network ?
Amazing ROM..
Really cool ROM. However overheats while charging. How to use kernel 1.8? Please let me know the procedure.
I have a dual band router. It shows only 2.4 GHz band. Doesn't show 5 GHz band. Tried with official stock yu rom based on android 5.0 as well as Cyanogen Snapshot rom based on android 5.1 . It did not work in any of them.
Hey guys,
I've been using my Note 4 for a couple years and it was running smoothly before but now it started showing issue, I hope y'all can help me with these problems..
Problem 1: Dual-Band WiFi Connectivity Issue
My N910G could not connect or even find any 5GHz frequency WiFi connection(neither my home WiFi nor the others),
but it shows no issue connecting the 2.5GHz frequency. My home router is working perfectly fine and my other devices which supports 5Ghz band have no issues connecting to my home router so I don't think this is the router at fault. I've tried reset my N910G to factory setting, at the setup it miraculously connect to the 5GHz band without a problem but as soon as I turn the WiFi off or leave it after a while, it disconnected and it does not show any 5GHz after that.
Problem 2: N910G Poor Cell Signal Strength
Okay, now this is a bit tricky. Recently, I changed to a new cell company and sign up for a postpaid package with LTE data only, the sim card is new but as soon as I insert it into my N910G and reboot it. The signal strength of my phone only range from 0 to 2(which is from -80dBm and above) and rarely reaches 4 or 5(highest) but I still can connect to the 4G network, it's just the signal is very poor. At first, I thought it was the sim card at fault but I tried trying it out on another phone and it works just fine.
Can someone help me out with these two problems? Is it because of faulty hardware or software? Does flashing a new custom rom helps to solve these problems?
i have same proplem with 910f is reading sim card and ther'es no signal :'(

I know right. It's very frustrating.. :crying: My one can't even use 5GHz WiFi..
I've just bought a V20 and noticed that it's a Taiwanese model (model LG-H990DS, with TWN firmware). The first two issues that I've noticed are:
- it won't connect to 4G (I'm on Plusnet Mobile, which uses the EE network). It will only connect to 2G according to the notification bar
- it won't connect to either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz wifi networks on my Asus RT-AC68U router (although it will connect to a Belkin access point that I have elsewhere in the house).
Are the above caused by basic hardware incompatibilities, or can they be resolved by a firmware update?

Hi
The H990DS should have no problem connecting EE network as it is The Global version and supports LTE bands 3,7 and 20 which are used in UK and EE uses 3 and 7. I have a Verizon V20 which I use on Virgin and it has no problem connecting as Virgin piggyback on EE as well.
It may be your firmware needs updating.

My current firmware is V10i-TWN-XX. Should I be looking for a different version? If so, what's the recommended way of obtaining and flashing it?
That is the most current version of the firmware.
Theoretically Oreo will be released in August, barring further delays.
Silly thoughts:
Which SIM card slot is the SIM in? 1 or 2? It can make a difference when using two SIM's - only one will get 4G/LTE while the other gets 2G.
Is the phone new, never previously been used?
Finally see the attached screenshot of the network settings under: Networks/More/Mobile Networks/Network Mode. If for some reason it got set to 2G that could be the problem.
Note: I'm only using 3G network access so that's why in the screenshot it only shows 3G (Notification bar) even though it's set to auto LTE.
As for the WiFi issues, mine seems to be a bit quirky in not always connecting to some routers, 99% is no problem then you can run into one that for what ever reason it refuses to connect. At the radio station I work at (part time) my V20 simply refuses to connect even though I have the password. Works fine with my tablet & Motorola phone but no go on the V20. Go figure.
Best of luck figuring it out.

Thanks for that. I have my SIM in the SIM1 slot, and my Preferred Network Mode is GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto, which I guess is correct. The phone is second-hand (bought from Music Magpie).
I have now managed to get 3G (with "H" displayed - HSPA presumably), but I haven't been able to get 4G anywhere that I've travelled in London so far.
In the last day it has also finally recognised my Asus router, so that's a big step forward.
Hey i have an lg v20 h990n as far as can tell from reading specs its got the same frequencies and bands mine works totally fine with ee o2 and vodafone its suppose to work with three ... it also works with my tp link vr600v2 works fine with 5ghz and 2.4ghz also my sisters and partners carrier supplied routers i might suggest that you received a defective one id return it if you cant get it sorted music magpie charge loads too for this phone
