Tried flashing with Lineage using TWRP, via a sideload.
After it said the phone appears not to be rooted, do you with to root (I thought it was), but swiped OK.
Phone rebooted - quick flash of the LG logo, then black. Kind of flashing black on/off.
However, if I plug it into my laptop (USB), it shows up as an external drive, with an 'images' folder, and a bunch of files within.
Any advice as to what I can do? Thanks!!

It's for these problems:
You are in the following situation:
If you power on your device, it goes to the LG logo and becomes black with running backlight quickly.
You have no access to the recovery mode.
You can't enter download mode.
There is no way to boot into the android system.
Usually your device is shown as qhsusb_bulk in Windows device manager.
Sometimes Windows recognizes about 13 partitions.

Hi
As many people here i've encountred a problem with fota while being using a rooted ROM (g.lewarne ROM)
Now my phone is bricked. I can't go into recovery nor Download mode. I only have the LG logo for moments with error: secure booting error!
cause: boot certification verify
When i plug my phone it is not recognized in the hardware manager. I've already installed Drivers.
All i have in the hardware manager is a new hard under name QHSUSB_BULK that needs driver.
I have just one hope to get my phone alive, by reconizing it again by my computer, then maybe i can go under download mode.
I've tried everything but nothing could work without download mode.
PS: I've made a hard reset, which was maybe a silly decision.
By the way, after installing the OTA my phone went into CWM Recovery, it was detectable by adb, i used adb to reinstall TWRP, then i used command
"adb reboot download" instead of "adb reboot recovery", then i had never seen the CWM recovery again, only the mentioned above error.
After few seconds my phone screen goes black but the phone is still on since i can see light at the corners of the phone.
and it is not reachable by adb.
It makes me crazy now.
once i plug it to the computer it gives me plenty drives to format and one drive with only one folder inside called image, only readable, with many files inside.
Could you please help me to get my phone alive?:crying:
I had CM 10.2 on my LG G2 but I wanted to give it to a friend so I thought I'd better remove the root for warranty reasons. I removed it with this method(D802): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
After flashing it stucks on the LG logo. I tried to get into recovery by holding Vol down + Power but it turns off and the LED begins to blink red. After that I used "Upgrade Recovery" with the LG mobile support tool. Now my branding(hutchinson 3) is back but it still stucks and I still can't get into recovery.
I've now been looking for 6 hours for any solutions but nothing seems to be working so far. I hope you can help me.
try vol dwn+pwr until the LG logo shows up, let go and press and hold them again
It boots up to the 3 Branding then and the bootloop keeps on going.
The uota
Connect it to your PC and use ADB to reset it
ADB can't find my device
edit: It must be a driver problem, "lge android net mtp device" cannot be installed for some reason. I re-downloaded and installed the drivers, restarted my comp and "lge android net mtp device" is still not working.
Volume up to enter download mode while inserting USB. Will install drivers. If not, extract drivers, point module from device manager to folder. If still no, try koush's universals. Flash stock. You may not have a recovery left after looping with kdz.

It says driver is already installed, but it isn't.
So uninstall, reconnect, force them.
Still not working.
Device manager - property of MTP device
Device satus: Device can't be started(Code 10). (Sorry I had to translate it from German.)
Phone needs to be in download mode. It should trigger other drivers, not just mtp. Try another computer...
Um.
Try do this

You can also try to install pdanet and check with that. Select the device and proceed. Once the drivers are installed .. Try flashing the stock... Lemme know of this works
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I tried rooting my G2 using this guide, and seem to have f'ed up somehow.
The phone now won't boot (stuck at the "LG" screen, with rainbow LED), and I can't get into download mode.
The strange thing is that I do get into recovery mode, but it seems to exit abruptly. When I try to recover (by selecting yes twice), the Android recovery icon shows up for a couple of seconds, but then it goes back to the "LG" boot screen again.
I would be grateful for any help.
I've tried connecting to a computer with Ubuntu, as per this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142, but I was unable to mount the phone.
It does show up in the device manager in Windows, under "Portable Devices".
I've disovered that the guide I followed for rooting was for G3 phones (and the G2 D805). I'm guessing this could be part of my problem.
But the guide said that I should be safe, since I had Lollipop. The Download mode should be able to save me if anything went wrong. But alas.
Before starting the rooting process I had the latest Lollipop update from LG (it was performing poorly, that's why I wanted to install a custom ROM).
Is it possible to save this phone? I'll probably look for a good deal on the 5X at Black Friday if I can't fix the G2, but I'd rather keep this phone working for a while anyway.
Still having trouble with this.
If I turn on the phone and connect it to a PC (with the phone stuck at the "LG" screen) it appears my the device manager on my PC, but adb.exe reports no connected devices.
no connecting to pc

How do I install these? When I plug in the phone and view properties in device manager, I can't select update or uninstall driver.
(I would insert a screenshot here, but I need to have more posts on the forum first)
EDIT: I just removed the LG drivers by uninstalling the LG software + drivers, and removing any left over drivers using Nirsoft USBDeview. Then I installed Koush’s Universal ADB Driver. But adb still reports no connected devices... I guess this device is bricked after all.

bro i think ur phone is hard bricked.
So yesterday I installed TWRP alongside CM13.
After that I got some problems with the ROM (rebooting, slow charging) so I decided to return to stock. To flash the stock .kdz I needed to go into download mode, that however did not work my phone just booted normally into CM when I tried to use the method to get into download mode (vol+ & USB). I even tried to force download mode through adb on PC however that also only rebooted the phone.
Then I did a wipe in TWRP (everything except Internal Storage) and shut off the phone.
Now I have the problem that I can not boot (because I obviously have no ROM installed anymore) but I also can't get into recovery anymore.
Also my phone seems to be in "only charge" mode from CM so my PC does not even recognize it correctly. I can't even see it in device manager and neither adb, nor the flash tool nor anything recognizes it.
When I connect my phone to the PC it just shows the CM battery icon that you see when you charge your phone while it's turned off and the LED is glowing yellow.
All of this are things that were new with CM so I guess there is still something left from CM that does prevent my G2 from acting as MTP.
Please tell me there is still hope...
Hello,
For some time the fastboot mode doesn't work on my N4. Neither Recovery, it remains inaccessible. (black sceen)
Recently, I formatted the system partition and android now cannot boot any longer (!).
Download mode works though!
So I followed the tutorial from there to unbrick it:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/tutorial-how-to-unbrick-n4-t2347060
But I am stuck at the LGNPST step, because my device doesn't appear in the app. I used a Win10 PC, so maybe there is some kind of uncompatibility with the "a bit old" procedure. I tried all three usb ports of the PC, with no luck.
Now, I don't know what to do next.
Is there some kind of procedure that can work with Linux instead of Windows to restore fastboot mode ?
Thanks a lot!
Have you checked whether your phone is appearing in device manager?
Perhaps Windows did not apply the driver to the device automatically (it happens sometimes).
