I had CM 10.2 on my LG G2 but I wanted to give it to a friend so I thought I'd better remove the root for warranty reasons. I removed it with this method(D802): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
After flashing it stucks on the LG logo. I tried to get into recovery by holding Vol down + Power but it turns off and the LED begins to blink red. After that I used "Upgrade Recovery" with the LG mobile support tool. Now my branding(hutchinson 3) is back but it still stucks and I still can't get into recovery.
I've now been looking for 6 hours for any solutions but nothing seems to be working so far. I hope you can help me.
try vol dwn+pwr until the LG logo shows up, let go and press and hold them again
It boots up to the 3 Branding then and the bootloop keeps on going.
The uota
Connect it to your PC and use ADB to reset it
ADB can't find my device
edit: It must be a driver problem, "lge android net mtp device" cannot be installed for some reason. I re-downloaded and installed the drivers, restarted my comp and "lge android net mtp device" is still not working.
Volume up to enter download mode while inserting USB. Will install drivers. If not, extract drivers, point module from device manager to folder. If still no, try koush's universals. Flash stock. You may not have a recovery left after looping with kdz.

It says driver is already installed, but it isn't.
So uninstall, reconnect, force them.
Still not working.
Device manager - property of MTP device
Device satus: Device can't be started(Code 10). (Sorry I had to translate it from German.)
Phone needs to be in download mode. It should trigger other drivers, not just mtp. Try another computer...
Um.
Try do this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
You can also try to install pdanet and check with that. Select the device and proceed. Once the drivers are installed .. Try flashing the stock... Lemme know of this works

Sorry, noob here. Please help!
My computer keeps on installing the wrong drivers everytime I plug in my Nexus 7. I don't know how to stop it.
When my tablet is in bootloader mode, Windows will try to install a bootloader interface driver that does nothing.
I have already:
- Went to Devices and Printers Installation settings and clicked on never install driver software
- Went to gpedit.msc and enabled: Prevent Installation of Devices not described by other policy settings,
So now my policy will block the auto install. But when I try to manually try to try Naked Drivers, it'll say it can't find any drivers.
When my tablet is in normal mode, the adb drivers comes back on.
I'm just trying to boot to recovery so I can install a new rom through the command prompt. Current rom is too unstable to do anything, new rom is already on the internal sdcard.
If any has any solutions, please let me know.
Thanks!
It sounds like you did things to prevent driver installation. But you need to install the correct drivers for things to work. Getting the correct drivers installed seems to be the biggest issue people have in being able to connect to a pc or use adb or fastboot. I know I installed the drivers from a root toolkit, installed rsd lite, android sdk, motohelper, etc. and still couldn't connect. Then I installed the pda.net app on the N7 and installed pda.net for android on my pc. Finally it worked and I can reliably connect to the pc, use adb and fastboot, and recognize the N7.
If all you are trying to do is get into recovery, why don't you just power off, hold the vol down and power until the screen comes on, use the up vol to change the menu to recovery, then hit the power button to enter recovery. Then you can wipe and flash. I hope I got those commands right. I'm using cwm recovery and I can get there like that. Usually, I just use Rom Manager to boot into recovery.
pdanet was what worked for me as well. none of the others did.

Thanks guys. that did the trick!

Hi Guys,
When updated my LG L5 E610v with LG Mobile support tool, it stucks in 'Download is in progress. Don not disconnect cable.
Tried a lot to fix this problem, no results.
I figured out that using adb, fastboot, PDAnet, LG suite, LG mobile support tool, kdz updater, a lot of different usb cables, button combinations, shake the phone, etc, my pc (and all software I used to connect) do not recognice my phone properly or not. For example: using adb, i get: device not found, etc.
I installed the right lg usb driver properly and see on device manager 'Modem' and 'usb device' installed. Seems to me, no proble at all !!!
Who wants to help me to figured out this problem ??? To say this, I am a noob with this problem.
Thx in advanced,
Ron

you need to download the correct frameware for your phone. And install kdz correctly. If your using a windows pc go to advance settings and under modem disable lg mobile mode and restart your pc.
If you installed kdz correctly on your pc, open in the kdz file run windows enabler if your using windows.
On your phone remove your battery, plug your usb to your phone holding volume-
You should be in download mode. If your not in download mode, unplug usb cable.
Hold vol+ and vol- at the same time. Once your connected and your phone is showing download mode run kdz. If it fails the first tine just restart kdz or unplug your phone and re connect it.

Thx Nesh89. I try what you said, still not working. It seems to me that kdz can't recognize my phone properly as well my pc (not show's up at my computer)
So I took some snapshots from the kdz phone info and the device manager. Hopefully you see what's up.
Regards, Ron

Power the phone off completely(hold the power button for arround 30 seconds),and then connect it to the PC.
But,before you do that, make sure you have the LG USB drivers for the G2,and adb fastboot drivers installed.
Then, take a screenshot of the Device Manager(you can use "Snipping Tool").
The problem is in the device not the pc because i've already flashed another g2 using that pc normaly

Unknown device because you probably do not have the drivers installed.
Just because you flashed things to your phone over the download mode, doesn´t mean you have the adb/fastboot drivers too.
I suggest,if possible, you get the LG USB drivers for the g2 and the universal adb/fastboot drivers, and install them to another PC with Windows, and then connect the powered-off phone NORMALLY,not in download mode, let the pc install drivers, and then tell me what the Device Manager says.

I'm having similar problem. No download mode. When I connect my lg g2 to my PC (windows 10) I see nothing in Device Manager. If I plug in my lg g3 (working fine) I get "portable mtp device".

Oh darn... I guess this is above me.
I wonder how a wave of that kind of a problem started occurring during these 3 weeks.
There is a " Back to Stock" thread, both of you could ask for help there. I asked for help there too, during all 4 times I bricked my phone. .______.

I tried rooting my G2 using this guide, and seem to have f'ed up somehow.
The phone now won't boot (stuck at the "LG" screen, with rainbow LED), and I can't get into download mode.
The strange thing is that I do get into recovery mode, but it seems to exit abruptly. When I try to recover (by selecting yes twice), the Android recovery icon shows up for a couple of seconds, but then it goes back to the "LG" boot screen again.
I would be grateful for any help.
I've tried connecting to a computer with Ubuntu, as per this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142, but I was unable to mount the phone.
It does show up in the device manager in Windows, under "Portable Devices".
I've disovered that the guide I followed for rooting was for G3 phones (and the G2 D805). I'm guessing this could be part of my problem.
But the guide said that I should be safe, since I had Lollipop. The Download mode should be able to save me if anything went wrong. But alas.
Before starting the rooting process I had the latest Lollipop update from LG (it was performing poorly, that's why I wanted to install a custom ROM).
Is it possible to save this phone? I'll probably look for a good deal on the 5X at Black Friday if I can't fix the G2, but I'd rather keep this phone working for a while anyway.
Still having trouble with this.
If I turn on the phone and connect it to a PC (with the phone stuck at the "LG" screen) it appears my the device manager on my PC, but adb.exe reports no connected devices.
no connecting to pc

How do I install these? When I plug in the phone and view properties in device manager, I can't select update or uninstall driver.
(I would insert a screenshot here, but I need to have more posts on the forum first)
EDIT: I just removed the LG drivers by uninstalling the LG software + drivers, and removing any left over drivers using Nirsoft USBDeview. Then I installed Koush’s Universal ADB Driver. But adb still reports no connected devices... I guess this device is bricked after all.

bro i think ur phone is hard bricked.
Okay so here goes. I've looked at the forums searching far and wide for anything that may help.
The problem is I have an S4 that had some battery problems. (swollen) so i replaced it out for a new one. The shop that I bought it from claimed that it was an original replacement battery (I live in Pakistan so finding an original battery was hard for me). So the phone worked fine for about half a month and now it's acting weird.
1. It seems to be stuck on a boot loop. but sometimes will start and run for a few minutes (random amount of time) and then go back into the reboot phase.
2. the phone does not go into recovery mode. The recovery screen pops up for a second followed by a no command screen and then phone goes back to boot loop.
3. the phone doesnt go into safe mode either. So i cant check if its a app related problem.
I tried to then flash a new recovery or the stock rom. The phone doesn't connect to odin/ nor Dr.fone for android.
-> Windows doesn't install the MTP drivers even though i have the latest version of KIES installed.
-> I have checked with a replacement battery the problem still persists.
Please HELP!!
Boot it into download mode, then try connecting it to a PC.
@GDReaper
The phone goes into download mode but the computer doesn't recognize it. It doesn't connect to odin and it says mtp drivers aren't installed..

Then try a different USB cable.
Try a different USB port, different computer, and different OS.
