I Have been using Resurrection Remix N for some time now. It was one of my favorite ROMs ever. But the problem is it just randomly restarts. I have been using stock kernel and I know I need to change. But I dont know what kernel is good for Resurrection Remix.

Random reboots can be caused by a faulty battery. I thought I had a problem with my ROM and went back to stock but still had reboots. Replacing the battery fixed things for me. Check your battery has no bulge - both sides should sit firmly on a flat surface with all four corners in contact with the surface, no rocking.

ROMs support but there stand for A500FU. For the F and other variants no there specifically, but you can be installed FU ROMs modifying some files. For example the Resurrection Remix ROM, AICP and CM13.
Im using Resurrection Remix ROM from @TheWisp for dayli driver for like a month and got no bugs at all. Sometimes i lose 15-20% battery overnight, but i think that is on me and some app preventing doze mode. Overall is really smooth and bug free.

Try @n1kolaa's official CyanogenMod 12.1 it is rock solid stable rom for s3 neo
If you want an AOSP style ROM, pick CM12.1 by @n1kolaa.
If you want a Touchwiz ROM, pick Project Lucky by @Ciro. It's S7 themed and very stable.

I have already tried it, but I'm not really into AOSP.

So, right now I'm on Motion ROM and the reason I am asking here is because the random reboots can be really annoying. Now then if I want to try Project Lucky I have to flash stock firmware and then flash the ROM or is there the other way around?
No not really just a standard wipe before Flashing. If you didn't do something wrong in between that will be enough. CM is based on AOSP & so is everything else but CM is not AOSP. Only official CM12.1 is stable right now and if you despair on touch wizard alike appearance you can theme it. I know it's not a same but what a hell you can't have it all.

Well, one of the reasons I don't like CM is that every CM ROM has that same thing when I'm at 0 brightness that when I press the power button the screen blinks like its at max for a split second and at night it can be really annoying and it's not adaptive brightness or something else causing it. It only happens on CM.
Yup display settings lags & whole section is buggy but I can live with that.
Tip try to disable kernel panic on everything else & good luck with it.

If I ever decide to give the official CM a try how do I disable the kernel panic thing?
EDIT: Also would like to ask, does the blinking thing happen to you too?
First of all its not a thing but kernel safety mechanizem to ensure system doesn't get stuck by some process not reacting & blocking it so it conveniently calls an interrupt & reboots the system.
Secondly learn to read. I said on everything else & that means all the roms & with all the kernels you are getting robots with. Not with official CM12.1 (& kernel) as their is zero of those there.
Good luck with it goes as the system can freeze totally with kernel panic on opps disabled so you will sometimes have to perform it's duty manually (by pulling out the battery) when it happens. Anyhow disabling the kernel panic mechanizem is not a solution of the problem but more alike workaround.

You do get that I am not a pro when it comes to developing Android systems which means that I am just an ordinary person who knows some basic stuff like flashing a ROM and something more. Also you didn't tell me if the blinking is normal for CM and if it is happenning to you too.
Blinking is not normal, it's CM problem on the ROM side so it's there on all CM's (12.1).

I agree. I tried CM 12.1 and that display flashing whenever I press the power button or home button to turn the display on was annoying. Flashed CM 11 after that and it's going pretty well, and that flashing thing is not happening.
So I just upgraded from Moto X Play to Moto X Style and I was wondering, Other than the stock ROM, what is the most stable ROM right now? I'm thinking of jumping from stock ROM to custom ROM, can any of you give me an advice of which ROM should I flash?
Thanks in advance

Well if u say my suggestion then try rr nougat or give a shot to cm 14.1
I use aicp because cm14.1 has stopped the development and maintainer of that thread is currently merging through Lineageos which usually takes time (even lineageos is not out till now officially)
Cm 14.1 has multi window which aicp doesn't have but aicp is ahead of cm14.1 for weeklies
U try by ur own...
Du
AICP is very fast and very stable with most everything working well. My only issue is camera performance but I may be in the minority with that issue.

How bug free is it? How about the battery life? Do you get around 3-4 SOT with normal usage? This got me curious as i am also finding a great ROM to suit my needs.

I never had any problems at all, battery life is better than most 3rd part roms but not quite stock (Moto knows how to optimize a rom), about 3 hours or so over a full day.
Again, I'll say the same thing as others, try them out, it's easy to do.

so I tried out and flashed RR Nougat but when I flashed it I got this a strange error at the log, I couldn't remember what it is but I took a screenshot so you can see and tell me what this means.
Dirty Unicorns seems to be working quite well on my device. Have tried a number of the other Nougat based custom roms but came back to this for now.

BrokenOS devs don't allow links to be shared here...
How could you not find it with Google, just type BrokenOS and that's it and the first two results are the official Google+ group and their website called Dysfunctional ROMs... Easy from there.

Using mokee 7.1 since January, despite nighty it's quite stable, have no issue till now. Battery life is good enough around 3.5-4 hr of sot with stock kernel. I am using it with Jerrica cosmos kernel with lionfish governer, sot is around 5 hr.

On Mokee nougat nightly rom since march with stock kernel .Quite Stable..Battery life is decent.no bloatwares ,except two file manager.
I'm using it with hexagen kernel, no gpu overclock.
No major bugs as far i tested thing workd perfectly.
Power saving gps mode works perfectly with all apps, other 7.1 roms some apps cannot get location (ingress, waze and others that i can't remember now)
Screen dizzy when you try to use it in AC, maybe it's because my charger is not genuine, but in totally stable roms or miui, the screen doesn't have that problem.
Battery life about 3 hours playing The Battle Cats lul i love cats.
And about 3:30 chatting and almost 4 hours watching videos.
Some people manage to get easily 5 hours of SOT in their devices, but mine doesn't. Maybe a hardware fault or battery. Try it out yourself, its a nice rom. 6.0 also its the most stable

oh, nice to know. I always thought the problem was my charger xD
3-4 hours screen on time.SOT with moderate usage.why don't you just flash ROM and get to know by urself..
does it have option to turn on alarm while phone is switched off ? (option that CM13 and stock have)
Hi guy's, my s3 neo i9300i always reboots randomly 4 to 5 times a day and I googled for a solution but I didn't find anything, I am currently on DotOS 7.1.2 I tried different custom ROMs but the problem still there
I tried Carbon, Dirty Unicorn and had these reboots to, especially when phone is in my pocket. With CrDroid i dont have these reboots, but for me the most stable Rom is LOS14.1, but i have gt-i9301

Meanwhile there are quite stable Custom Roms that would be there:
- CM 12.1 from Dec.2017 (no more bootloops!)
- LOS 14.1 from August or also December 2018
- crDroid from November 2018

on those rom, not crdroid, you need to set the kernel with kernel auditor, as per instructions in threads, to avoid reboots.
