In stock ROM I was able to use Netflix offline, but now in any ROM Nougat I can not anymore
I already tested Slim7, LOS14.1, OCTOS and in none of them I was able to download movies and series on Netflix.
I don't care much if it's android 9 or android 5. I just want the maps to work and perform basic functions, calls, gmail, youtube, music. No gaming
I have come across the 'LiquidSmooth' Rom on youtube which runs andoird 4.4.4. I am wondering if there is any newer android version that is also fast and doesn't drain the battery.

uses android pie. it's the most stable for pie. there are also some efforts for android 10, but the stability for that is more of an alpha.
use twrp 3.2.3 to flash.
If you don't care for pie, you can use ressurection remix Nougat?

generally speaking, you want to use as latest android as possible but is stable for your device

I'm testing several ... lineage OS 14.1 on antutu gets 39,585 Resurrection Rmx gets 40,696 I have downloaded RR here, in XDA, I quite like it, I have only tried those two. Also the interface in RR seems to me more attractive along with the pixel launch.
Do you recommend updating to the Android 10 version or not?
Would there be any problems updating if I decide to root?
Is there a way to delete the downloaded update not having installed yet? Since I always see the notification to update

Only problem I noticed is with samsung browser. Video stream preview is a garbage but I use google chrome anyway so its good
1.when I downgrade my shield tv to 7.2.0 7.2.1 7.2.3 8.0.0 etc, netflix did not work and got -100 error. I try to update netflix to latest version through google play, Unfortunately no work.
2.when I downgrade my shield tv to 8.0.1, netflix is work fine, so I think netflix will detect system version to decide whether to provide netflix services.
3.do anyone have research how to ban netflix detect system version?
