Hello guys. Today I got my new Huawei U8800 Pro from China. Then I downloaded a new firmware from the Huawei site. Prepared the SD card, put it in the device and turned it on with +\- vol buttons. Device had started and update process too. There were Unpacking, Updating (or smth) and Installing. After that screen turned off and I suggested that I should pull out the battery. .... After that when I push turn on button device vibrates and nothing more happen ... I think I've bricked it... (( Tell me please how I can unbrick it to install firmware properly. I've waited for this phone too much and then ... bam .. i made a mistake.. Help me please.
Take the USB cable out and push VOL+, VOL- and Power. What happens then?
If nothing, try pushing VOL+ and Power. Tell me if that gets you into Recovery...

looks like huawei post wrong rom in u8800pro software section
stock rom (Lithuania tele2) call U8800PV100R001C00B026
and huawei posted call U8800V100R001C00B138SP04
If that's the case, send it back to warranty. They have the obligation to cover this for you, as it's Huawei's fault.
This is one of the reason huawei tries tp block us from downloading firmware images :/
yeah, but still, this happen to 1% of the users...Were is the logic? Give up on updates, just because 1% of the phones may come back?

Didnt say it was right but the updater really should have an installscript that checks if its u8800 or u8800 pro (or msm7xxx vs msm8xxx)

"did something", "some errors" == approximately no information at all.
You'll get more help if you go to the trouble of describing things in detail.
Computer are brittle things - there a thousands of ways things could go wrong, so the details of what you observe are useful.
Don't be vague.

Everything is now OK , i had wrong version of image
guys i was using miui 8 rom with phantom kernel
while using it my screen started flickering and just got black
when turning on my phone screen starts for sometime and then same story
also when i turn on my phone in recovery same thing happens
can anyone plz tell me what the problem is
it first shows boot logo and then goes black
If it is happening in recovery too, then it might be a hardware issue.
But try flashing stock ROM.See if that solves the problem.

Phantom kernal over clocks your GPU.This might also be the cause of flickering. So try flashing the stock rom and see what happens.

do u got an update to stock 5.2
and by the way is volte working in that
Screen Flickering is common issue the main cause is because the synaptic driver is not quite compatible to ft5x06 which results in flicker around some interval there is no solution for it lenovo did sh!t with the driver the way out is only rewriting and adapting the driver for our phone accordingly
Hi Community,
I had to reset my oneplus 5 because of a annoying adware that i might have got from something n was experiencing ad pop ups even on the home screen. So i did a factory reset from setting. My phone restarted and the boot screen appeared. After one or two mins both white dots of bootlogo merged and big red logo appeared (device was about to go to setup page) but instead of going to setup screen a black screen appeared and again bootlogo started rolling... i thought its a reset process but it just on for a long time, around 20 mins. So i restarted the device by holding power button and phone restarted to the setup screen in no time.
I again did a reset and same thing happened
Can some please tell me was that normal or was a bootloop??
Please help
What?

Sorry that was an error occured...updated the thread with the issue. Kindly check
Someone please reply
You have a couple of options:
1.) If your bootloader is already unlocked and you're using TWRP then just download the latest 4.5.10 ROM from OPs website and flash it.
2.) If not then download the rescue image from OP, go into fastboot mode and flash it from there.
There are many guides around the internet on how to do both methods
What exactly do you want us to say?
Yeah it was a bootloop?
Just be patient next time?
its a bug and i reproduced this issue on my friends op5 too and the same thing happened.
