Hello everyone, I have managed to change the boot animation (for me on a CAZ-AL10 was under /system/hwoem/AL10/media, or something like that), but the Huawei splash screen still is their before the animation. I would prefer to just have google (or anything) rather than huawei on the splash screen. There are threads for other devices that mention the splash screen is in the oeminfo partition (partition 17 for me) and some tools to extract/replace it, but without a backup of oeminfo partition (or I mean a way to replace it, because the dd command does not work for me in TWRP) I am a bit hesitant to risk trying these tools.
So, my question is, has anyone tried to change splash screen, or any ideas about how to do it? Also. it would be nice to get rid of the annoying boot image telling me the phone is unlocked and all of that info. Wont that be useful to anyone who steals an unlocked phone, they tell you right there it is open.
Edit to be more specific about boot animation location. For me it is /system/hw_oem/media

Same thing here. I flashed a new CM. Did a full wipe including cache then flashed a new GAPPS, and now I'm stuck at the Google screen. I can get into fast boot, recovery etc but cannot get my phone to boot. Any ideas?
1. wipe factory
2. wipe dalvik
3. wipe cache
4. flash cm then gapps then kernel
Thanks zephiK. Problem is I don't have a ROM on my sdcard mount. How can I copy a ROM to my phone without getting into android? Thanks for any help!
If you can get into recovery (CWM) then you can use ADB to push the file. Look through some of the PINNED threads for the commands. Very helpful info.
I found that my data partition was not able to MOUNT once and nothing I could do via ADB shell would change to it to R/W so I just locked and unlocked my bootloader and all was well again.
you can either use fastboot to push the files to your phone or flash stock. if you dont know how to use fastboot try wugs toolkit
Hey all now where can I find the image for the static screen when we root or phone for the Sprint version. I am tired of seeing the warning sign so I want to change that pic and add my own company logo. Any ideas where I can find it and replace the static picture? Thanks in advance.
I dont think you can get rid of the This phone is corrupt message :/ Google built it in. The static can be removed if the kernel has a fix for it. The static isnt an image... Its the screen not being displayed right by the bootloader I believe. Ive learned to live with the corrupt message. But if others see it, it might raise eyebrows lol
Static is caused by boot loader being changed and causing a error using a non debug kernel.
Warning logo - effects of having wrong boot loader on phone.. requires backwards development of a Aboot, that has no public source and is very sensitive, expecially on our device where there is no KDZ or TOT avalible to un-brick your device. Id strongly reccomend against messing with your aboot. but the picture name is red.img and is located in the aboot.
The only known way to remove it would be replacing the file with a black img that was reneamed red.img and replace the other one so it just shows a black screen etc.. But again your risking a HARD brick pushing anything to your device.
Maybe a silly question but I want to understand ans solve if possible:
After testing some Lineage-roms and also flashing back to stock and again to lineage, my first boot animation (before seeing the lineage boot animation) is now in chinese. I remember it was in english before ( "Share the ECO World... I'm not a phone but...") but for some reason it is now completely in chinese.
There is no problem with this for using my phone as this sequence is only a few seconds after a reboot, but I want to know which part of my TWRP backup is responsible for this and how to change back to english?
Its just you boot animation. Search the Leeco pro 3 forums for Boot animations, you can make it anything you want. There are also utilities available that help you create your own splash screen and boot animations, you can also give TWRP a theme if wanted. You can also manually add, the splash screens and boot animations.
To go on, plenty of pre-existing zip files exist to make it say Google or Leeco but in English. In fact, I just remembered that I posted one of these here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75021582
At the bottom where it says just for fun.
Thank you tsongming for your help. Now I now that the start-up screen is called splash screen/boot. I searched for this and found the answer
For some reason I don't get notification anymore, so I missed your answer.
Hi all, thanks to developers for their good job.
I have a zte axon 7 2017G with an official lineageOS 15.1 and I'm experiencing a weird and annoying boot process each time I reboot the device:
1.- First I see a screen saying push any button before 5 secs
2.- Despite push or not any button, I see a pretty similar screen saying that I have 30 sec to push any button to continue boot process.
If no key is pressed, the boot process start again and again and the device never start up.
Only the volume down button works and I can see more boot options, but even it move the options in wrong direction (from bottom to up), the volume up button doesn't work at all.
I've tried different bootstacks, but the boot process doesn't change.
Is there any bootstack, or aboot image or some "magical" process that I could do to change the boot process into a more working one?
Thanks in advance for the help
Are you serious dude, there are dozen of threads and mentions about this.
On the second screen you press the power button to proceed booting(pinguin logo is normal).just like the bootscreen is saying.
if you dont want this you can use other bootstack

Hi predartorhaze, thanks for your info. Yes I'm serious, I'm know how to manage to boot my device, but what I want is to change this behavior for a lot of reason, one of them is if the device reboot itself, it will keep booting until exhaust the battery or a human being push buttons.
Please, could you share a link with a bootstack to change this behaviour. As I said, I've tried some, and all of them have the same behaviour.

Thanks predatorhaze, it works as I expected. I tried the splash version, in order to not to loose EDL mode, just in case. Only one 5 second warning screen shows up and if no one button is pressed, the boot process finish completely instead reboot again.
Only one warning just in case anyone would try it. The pin to unlock the phone is lost, and you would not be able to unlock it.

Hi,
Not sure what I did but my fastboot screen is black. It works but there is nothing on the screen. Flashing stock but it did not make any difference.
I have seen few posts about this, has anyone found a solution in the meantime.
Thanks in advance
edit:
Another thing, I cannot use TWRP or lineage recovery. When flashed both have black screens as well (but appear to be working). Using the twrp with
fastboot boot twrp....
works though.
Also the screen remains blank for part of the startup sequence, until the Hello Moto sound.
I have the same issue, I've also tried multiple images from Lolinet but I can't seem to get it working either.

Try Wiping system cache, dalvik, and data and then reinstall stock. You could try Wiping those other partitions mentioned on the flashall bat, but be careful. For example "Modem" partition takes care of your carrier configuration, and if wiped could be a big problem.
It seems that the bootloader you have flashed can't drive your screen because lacking of the driver.
