[HELP] Transfer Apps from Unrooted LG G5 back to my Oneplus 2 - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
So I changed contracts couple of months ago and got a free LG G5 out of it. Now it's time to come back to my OP2.
I've installed a custom ROM (Dirty Unicorns RC from Feb 12 - 7.1.1) and all is good.
I'm now trying to get my data / apps back to my OP2.
The Canadian version of the LG G5 is unrooted, so I cannot use Titanium Backup.
I've tried Helium / Carbon, but I'm having trouble with the backup, it stops in the middle.
I've done a full apk backup from ADB backup, but the adb restore on my OP2 does not want to work. It starts, runs then stops without any messages.
Any suggestions, for the apps and also for the SD Card data ?
What is your preferedl process for this ?
Thanks

Lollipop - Restore apps is showing "old" devices

Lately when doing a fresh install of a Lollipop AOSP rom it has been showing me "old" KLTE devices, when asking which apps to restore.
The newest is more is more than 20 days old.
Does anyone have an idea, how to force Google Play to show restore the device, that I have used today?

Lost SMS MMS Flashfire

I recently did a full backup with Flashfire Pro due to needing to return to stock. I usually use SMS backup though this time I thought my messages would be in this full backup.
After Getting up and running with the new OTA, I did a restore of userdata, cache, and internal storage. Everything came back fine except there were no mms or sms. Call history and everything was up to date. I finally had to restore my SMS backup that was over a month old.
Is there something else I should have restored? I still have the full backup and I would appreciate advice on getting my months worth of texts back.
Nexus 6P
Project Fi
7.1.1 Security patch level 1/5/17
FlashFire Pro v.0.53
I realize this is in Nexus 6 section . . .
I would like to ask the same question:
Did a full FlashFire backup of my Samsung sm-g930v (Verizon variant Galaxy s7). Everything including all my wifi ssid`s & passwords, all personal app data including logins, etc were saved. I actually saved the backup file to the sd card, rooted & installed flashfire on another sm-g930v (same build,G930VVRU4BQG1), & it was like it was the same exact phone:good:
All except no sms/mms restoration, The call logs were there right up to the very last one.
Also I noticed during the restoration process, after the md5 hashes were verified, while the data was being written, several red lines of logging appeared on the phone`s screen, then it continued, finished, & rebooted.

Helium not working..

I have rooted my G4 plus and currently using Resurrection Remix. I am planning to shift my data (especially apps data) to another brand new phone which in non rooted and I am not planning to root it for some days. I have already installed titanium backup on my moto but as per my knowledge, it won't work on non rooted phone. I have tried helium but it doesn't work. App is installed on phone and as well as on desktop, phone is detected but nothing happens further on mobile app. Screen just hangs saying waiting for Desktop app to enable backup. It seems motorola phones are not supported by helium (as mentioned on helium wiki).
Guys can you please guide me on any workaround for helium or how I can restore my app data on new phone which is non rooted ? Does titanium restores data on phone even if its not rooted?
Would really appreciate your support in this matter..!
I'm sorry you'll need to root the device if you need to backup and restore data of absolutely all your apps. Titanium backup does need root. And there are apps like super backup but these backs up data only when rooted otherwise just the apps. You can backup data of your messaging apps like WhatsApp and hike through inbuilt backup process
Thank you for your response Ayan. Can you suggest any app like helium for non rooted devices. Is 'Ultimate Backup' app any good in this scenario ?

backup/restore app data from my OnePlus3 to my OnePlus6T (Helium?)

I've used Helium in the past to backup/restore app data from/to the same device while dramatically changing ROMs.
Now, I'm just trying to backup some games that don't have cloud sync from my OnePlus 3 to my OnePlus 6T.
I tried using helium, which seems to create the backups, which i transfer to the new phone, but the "restore" fails...
I want to upgrade my OnePlus 3 to the new Android version and give it to my mom, but I don't want it to wipe out all of my data because I have an unlocked bootloader (if you don't know why I'm saying this, either ignore or look up "Android Pie Wipes Unlocked Oneplus 3 on Upgrade")
How else can I backup and restore these things? I'm not unlocked or rooted on my OnePlus 6T (I'm trying something different) so I can't use Titanium, like I would in the past.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!

LG V20 Lineage 18.1 Backup and Restore

I have a V20 with Lineage 18.1 and am looking for something that can backup and restore the whole phone. The other day I tried to update Lineage and it downloads it, but when I hit Update, it restart and just display and android icon, and "No Command". Any ideas why this happens? So I download it to a folder and go into TWRP manually and tried to update, but the zip check failed and I was left with no option but to reset. Which means I have to spend hours reloading everything and going over every system setting. I really need a faster way to load an image to the phone, both for situations like that, and in case the phone is lost, so I can load the image to a backup V20.
I have tried everything I can find:
TWRP: may work for restoring to same phone, but not for a different one, even the same model.
CloneIT: Have tried a dozen times, but the receiver never sees the sender hot spot
Titanium Back Pro: Have tried it a few times, but have never succeeded in getting the whole phone back. I'm using Magisk 22 to root, then I put on Titanium, then I try to restore, but it doesn't work.
Google 1 (Google Drive built-in Backup): I tell it to restore a backup and it says it's doing it, and to complete setup of my phone, so I do. When done, I see it is restoring my applications.
I have a Mi A2 with Lineage 18.1 and I have the same question. Did you ever figure out a solution? With my LG G7 I can make partition image backups with the QFIL tool but for this device, I haven’t found a way to make images of full partitions for a real backup that can be reflashed. I think the most viable option is TWRP which I think is still installed on my device.
