Hello. I have a problem with my note xD
I was on few custom roms and i decide to return to orginal . I was download firmware from sammobile. After install, mobile get restart and i get DRK fail. Then i was go to to recovery and i was clear catch and after that phone was working. After that i was again go to recovery and now i have "dm-verity verificatoin failed". How to fix that? Try to reinstall again to stock rom?(but what to do when i get DRK fail).
Problems with my phone is losing signal when i try to go in app like face, whassup, games. Its that because dm-verity verificatoin failed or just my phone re dieing
Thx for help

I was L17(5.0) Dr Ketan's ROM. I had done all the flashing on TWRP.
Today when i tried to go to recovery, it landed on stock recovery and not TWRP.
And when rebooted the phone it constantly gave me error messages one by one that "Unfortunately, ... service has stopped"
My first question is TWRP won't work on android 5.0?
I tried flashing TWRP through odin but it failed and gave this error: Complete(Write) operation failed
Did i do something wrong?
All help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Edit: Now when i try to go to recovery/reboot it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Go to recovery in Kies
All i did was unsuccessfully tried to flash twrp/cwm.
I got the same error, when I was trying to flash TWRP2.8.3.0 via odin. I corrected issue by by trying to go back to download mode and flashing another recovery.. as I remember.
Please check whether you can go to download mode??

I can go to download mode but I'm unable to flash CWM also.. can you give the recovery which you flashed?
Hi Guys,
I flashed a custom rom on my new device SM-N900 using TWRP. When I wanted to revert to the stock firmware using ODIN I getting an error saying 'Power Reset or Unknown Upload Mode'.
The flashing of stock firmware is successful using ODIN but when rebooting I am getting the same error. I have tired doing everying I could searched XDA Note 3 forum, other sites as well but nothing worked.
I have even tired the below procedure to get mobile in to working condition but everything failed.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52329946&nocache=1#post52329946
Below are the screenshots of the error and Download screen
When I go to my recovery, I see on the bottom of the screen: dm-verity verificatoin failed. Plzzz help me
I had the same thing on my N910A and I'm guessing it was from a botched OTA update. I used Kies3 to back everything up and then reset to factory settings and reinstalled the OS. After that the message went away and I could take OTA updates again.
If i modify the system partition, the recovery greets me with "dm-verity verification failed".
I do *not* get the message about the DRK being invalid. My phone works fine.
Is there a way to remove this cosmetic error?

I suppose that will work but i want my system partition modified/themed the way it is
I've heard it has something to do with the efs partition inside /efs/prov_data/dmvt or /efs/prov_data/dev_root
Maybe i can recalculate the hash value for the system partition and inject it somewhere?
My DRK is fine. just wish to remove recovery error.
i'm on stock recovery and my unit will always boot because I have the G930P eng kernel with dm-verity disabled. Stock recovery still thinks dm-verity is enabled because it just says "dm-verity verification failed" which is normal when you modify the system partition. I'm only trying to figure out how to remove the dm-verity verification failed error.
i can do such repair remotely
I have a galaxy s7 and rooted my device and some security update, updated my phone now I'm stuck in a bootloop.
I have tried Samsung smart switch and it wont take my model name. What do I do next?

Go to recovery mode. factory reset. should boot now.
Hello, Is there any update about how to fix?
Any way to fool your kernel/recovery into thinking dm-verity is just fine?
Samsung s7 says dm-verify verification failed after been reset
It's a long story but I soft bricked my G928F.
I bought it off Gumtree in the U.K and it had an frp lock on it, the seller stated that she had wiped it off so would not take it back. I had a read around and it seemed that Wondershare Dr. Fone would take off the frp lock........it didn't, rather it messed up the stock recovery. When attempting to enter recovery I get the following message and am stuck in a bootloop:
No Support SINGLE - SKU
Supported API: 3
dm-verity error
failed code: 0x02
E: failed to mount /cache (invalid argument)
While Odin will recognise the phone Smart Switch will not so I am unable to use the emergency recovery procedure.
I have read similar posts where it implies Smart Switch is the last resort but in my case that doesn't seem to be an option
Can anyone suggest a way to recover the phone or do I throw it in the bin? Any help appreciated

Flash this using odin :
https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1tg9hJOCquyfuyROYtgpxyVKNbuidzdL8&export=download
Then, you will be able to flash latest version normaly, and also your will remove frp lock.
Thanks for that, I will flash it when I get home and report back.
Didn't work for me, the combination file gave an 'md5 error! Binary is invalid' message when loading into Odin, while renaming to .tar the flash failed.
firmware update start
Single download
sboot bin
param.bin
FAIL
Thanks for your suggestion though.
I tried installing firmware G928FXXS5CRH1 (VOD) but it failed at hidden system image, I removed that file and created a .tar which flashed successfully but the phone rebooted
to recovery initially but still showed a dm-verity error. I deleted the cache and then factory reset which appeared to also complete successfully but the phone would not boot up.
I then tried flashing the hidden sys image on its own but that failed and the phone went to the Smart Switch error recovery page, Smart Switch will not recognise the phone so will not allow access to the emergency recovery facility.
Still trying though if anyone has any idea's.
Hi there,
Im in the same boat. It had the verity error too.
BUT:
For me it worked to flash the 4-part firmware of the G928FXXS5CRH1 via Odin then.
The device boots again, without the verity error
It had Android 5.1 before, when I could flash the COMBINATION ROM and use it just fine.
(but it was a Android 7 combination ROM) :/
After flashing Android 7 debranded (G928FXXS5CRH1) in 4-parts (BL, AP, CC and CSC file) the FRP lock is still there of course,
but the phone is booting again without the verity error.
COMBINATION ROM will no longer let me flash it, though.

The download I did via the tool "samfirm" use chk32 and decrypt on downloading !

Thanks for the reply, I fixed it myself in the end. I spent 2 days over Xmas until I eventually tried the solution that you have suggested. I eventually found a 4 part software. AS to the FRP lock, be it good luck or persistence, I managed to get rid of that as well using Samsung FRP Tool.
